  1. http://www.catherinebellonline.com/ what can I say she is extremely hot, she likes gadgets, bikes, things that go bang (SC stuff) Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  2. TO ALL. Lucky or not - Cooper did survive and someone besides me knows this. Who is Vern and does the last name of Vern start with a P? A family man - but one with jumping experience. Probably born between 1940 and 1950. No Verne is his surname, but unfortunately he died in March 1905 so while he might of predicted Cooper (he was quite good at that) he couldn't be directly implicated. 4. Personally I think it is rather cool and I like the benefits, like being able to preview a trip in advance so I know if I want to ride the bike, car or take public transport. However it is naive to not see the downsides - the most obvious is that it gives criminals a perfect opportunity to carefully examine a neighborhood for targets without ever stepping foot on the street. The same goes for terrorists. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  5. Note to self: Ignore previous note-to-self regarding investing in English apartment buildings. So let me get this straight - you read a thread about the landlord walking in on Nataly who was naked and this makes you NOT want to own an apartment here Jeez I thought you'd be sending a big to Natalies landlord to buy him out Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

  7. I am always tempted to pass comment to people who are clearly abusing the parkings regarding being mentally handicapped My son asked why there were toilet signs on the parking bays about a week ago. He had associated the sign with toilets having seen them on the door and figured the wheelchair person was sitting no the throne. 8. Thats to easy - we all know that Duane was Webber Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

  10. Just a question - surely shyness is a direct sign of insecurity? I believe people can be quiet and not "in your face" and be fully confident in themselves and therefore mistaken for being shy. Out of our kids one is shy and doesn't engage other kids, his brother is quiet and doesn't give a toss what other kids think about him. Neither engage much but the underlying feelings/motives are radically different. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  11. Cruisers aren't my type of bike - given the choice I would take an R6, R1 or CBR over any cruiser. BUT from observation chicks dig cruisers so if I was single that would sway my opinion Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  12. yes sorry it was quite the hijack. It is inexcusible to assualt anyone. I do think that there are 2 sides to the argument though (not the article in question). I don't know anyone that cycles in the UK, but it is amazing amongst my biker friends how many think that they can ignore the rules of the road - and then go on to bitch loadly about "cagers". I would not have the balls to cycle on UK roads - cars are a real hazard. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  13. I live in quite a hilly area and there is not alot more frustrating irratating than being stuck at 5MPH with a lycra arse blocking the way There are a couple of guys who ride right on the crown of the road and block pretty much everyone causing severe congestion - luckily I am on a "proper" bike and can normally blow past them. The other hazard though is female cyclists - but I am not complaining about them, I just hope I don't drive/ride into someone else as a result Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  14. I disagree, there are plenty of high end CAD and simulation packages that only run on Windows. Not saying that I like it or am happy with the situation as I would happily switch to Linux. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  15. I think that is a cop out and a way of people shrugging off responsibility. Of course it is easier to "stay" rich in life, if your parents send you to a good university, set you up in life by helping with your first house, car etc, than if you start from scratch. There are plenty of examples where people have started life from a poor background and risen to the top of industry - and I mean dirt poor not simply middle class. I am not sure about the US, but in many parts of the world take a close look at and speak to migrants from poor countries - as a general rule they tend to rise (quite quickly) to above national average income and prosperity levels. I rented a house from a guy who was kicked out of Uganda by Idi Amin in the mid-70's with nothing but the clothes on his back, by the late nineties he owned more than 10 houses with a typical value of £150-£200k each, less than 1/2 of the houses were mortgaged. 16. Holy crap - where are you buying your jumpsuit?? I had mine custom-made and it was $200.. You can buy used for as little as $50. not everyone lives in America and buys suits with USD. Paid $300 this season for a new jumpsuit - a very nice one at that. Why would it be so much more expensive than in the USA? New Zealand dollars != US$ on exchange rate is my guess and as his location is NZ I guess he used NZD. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  17. Sorry Jo didn't mean for my language to offend you. To be frank the reason that it irritates me is that you have no proof that Duane was Cooper, I know that you believe it to be 100% true but as I say no proof. So for you to leap to massive assumptions - so that even on the slim chance of it being Duane you have even the faintest idea of what occurred that night is ludicrous. By your own admission he did not give you a detailed account of that night so you can't possibly "promise" that cooper did not land in the water. 18. You know what's ironic - a couple of thread up the British government is getting bashed about a "suppossed" ban and this thread it silent Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  19. If you are looking for an online content management system so that you edit/create your site live then provided the server that hosts you supports the PHP stuff look at izzywebsite. It is owned/operated by a polish guy who gives fantastic levels of support. I used it for our previous business site, prior to upgrading. 20. How about making the mugs out of tempered glass, like car windows. Imagine the surprise when the drunken thug at the bar smashes the end of his glass on the bar in order to produce some razor sharp edges to slice someone's face up, only to have the glass crumble apart into a thousand small chunks. The victim-to-be can then laugh in his face, and the thug will depart in dejection with his tail between his legs. Of course, then he'll return after retrieving the knife in his car, and the government will have to ban knives. There are probably dozens of ways that the glasses can be made "safer". Once you move away from the hype/spin that is all they are proposing. I see it as progress, and one thing that I have learn't over the past 3 years, is that when people actually take the time to read the SOURCE document it is often quite sensible, well laid out and in plain English. Perhaps I am biased as part of my job involves a technical advisory role on the revision/writing of certain EU directives. It is the consultants and scare mongers who extrapolate the law to line their pockets. A classic example of this is UK Health & Safety law - the H&S executive had to tell people to "apply common sense". 21. Correct... we don;t put eggs in the fridge here (mom used to ... don;ty know why) but they are not klept in the chiller section at the supermarket (they're at room temp;) so why would I do it at home? I grew up on a chicken farm and there were to choices on eggs to preserve them 1) refrigerate 2) treat or coat the shells to create an oxygen barrier making them last longer. Useless fact - rotten eggs float, and fresh eggs sink in water. We don't keep much more than milk and cheese in the fridge. Peanut Butter, syrup, ketchup and rest are in the cupboard (or where the kids last dumped them) Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  22. I don't know. Why is that of such critical importance that it must be regulated by the government? To answer a couple of your questions: 1) The home office commissioning a beer glass design can be as simple as them throwing an idea out for industry and product designers to consider. there is no such thing (that I am aware of) as a "regulation pint glass" although no doubt there will be regulatory standards that have to be met - which is quite acceptable. You would expect the government to ensure that a pint glass always holds 1 pint and avoids mis-selling. You'd also expect regulations to ensure that glasses are "safe" in the general sense of the word (for example leaching dangerous chemicals into your drink) I don't see any conflict is people are using pint glasses to hit each other over the head then I have no problem with a weight limit and shatterproof requirement forming part of the regulatory requirements. 2) Pub closing times affect more than just drinkers. They can be noisy, intrusive to people living in close proximity and I see it as quite reasonable that the government ensures that the general public is protected from a business that will focus on business first and local impact second. 23. Well since I think that monogous lifestyles don't necessarily suit everyone, I have not problem with it in principle. As others have said though honesty is absolutely key to all this. I think that most people have a very narrow view of relationships and see things through the prism of sexual relationships. I think that it is quite reasonable to expect that forming intimate relationships with more than 1 person is possible and in my view more healthy. 24. and I promise you that he might have. 377 You see those are the comments (Jo's) that really piss me off. We go from a mumbled death bed confession to a KNOWN fact that he didn't land in water. Even on the remotest chance that Duane was cooper - I really doubt that he said "I paid Tina $100 for a quickie and landed in a duck pond, got a ride back from the landing spot in a UFO after blowing ckret to ensure that the FBI would forever cover my tracks" Actually on second thoughts maybe he did say that Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
