At least your statement above does lend itself to what I believe to have happend and a story told to me over the yrs by another person and Duane. But who knows maybe the CB was used for Duane and this person to commit other crimes and is no connection to Cooper. Re: FBI The FBI called me today - no other than LARRY CARR, so supposedly he still has the Cooper case. He was talking to me and you could hear squawking in the back ground which was his "radio". Therefore we can assume he is still the Agent of Record for Cooper, because my call was to Ray Lauer and I was only able to leave a message for Lauer yesterday. I recieved no new information from CARR and he still stands by the the statements made on this forum from the FIOA. Therefore, I was not able to move forward with information from him as he still stands by only what is reported in the FIOA. CARR denied any knowledge of the information I have recently acquired.....he DID state that I might get in trouble if I made my next move....this I do NOT understand. He simply stated - "Do what you have to do." So I will do what I have to do. Jo I REALLY wish that you would for ONCE provide a straight up post with some substance. Your posts have the same effect on me as fingernails on a chalkboard! I think it is the combination of the fact that you are an elderly woman and so instinct is to protect you and treat you with respect, however your style comes across as the type of behavior that would get a young males butt kicked. I really do feel very sorry for you and wish you all the best in life and it frustrates me to see your self inflicted anguish. A very human trait is to look for people who support your viewpoint and discard the views that oppose. I see it in my line of work where people quite literally fool themselves into believing the most amazing things - and find friends and family to support them. We see it on dz.com where skydivers will hunt high and low to find someone willing to support the view to be "extreme" because they are "super talented". I see you doing the same thing. I suggest that you keep a diary and log (without skipping the people whose views you dislike) when you get to 10 weigh up the balance, if more than 5 say your wrong then drop it. Start with Larry Carr on your list, disregard EVERYONE on the internet because we are all freaks! Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

I suppose technically this is an incident but since I found it on youtube and know nothing about it here seemed more applicable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-83reY31qaM&NR=1 It looks like there were 2 separate incidents - and if the final comment is to be believed I am surprised the skydiver wasn't injured he certainly damaged the glider. thanks for all the replies. 1) Food thanks we are planning to picnic etc alot but eat at a mid-range/low cost restaurant once a day so my wife feels like she's getting a holiday as well 2) Yes the Waterpark is why we will be down at San Antonio 3) Heat is a major concern for the kids - they are "proper english" and 25C is "hot". We grew up in Africa so 40C without Aircon is "nice". The plan was to do early morning/late afternoon and then either travel or pool/swim mid-day. 4) Thanks for the feedback on SUV/minivan we want space for the kids and from the rental places a basic SUV is slightly cheaper than a minivan - but we'll probably swap based on this feedback, it'll also help reduce the fighting. Hi All, We are planning a family holiday to Texas in August and will be looking to do quite alot. We are starting off in Fort Worth and I've been to the Stockyards and Billy Bobs on business so we will be going there. The plan is to do a round trip going up to Palo Duro and then down to San Antonio. Beside any ideas for a family with 3 kids aged 10 to 14, I was wondering what we should budget for fuel and are there alot of toll roads? My guess is we will be doing about 2000 - 3000 miles over the course of a month and will be renting a "standard SUV" or similar. Secondly are there any ideas on low cost family accomodation - for business I have stayed in the holiday inn express, Best Westerns and they have always been fine but any low cost idea's welcome. Lastly any idea's on a food budget for 5 people? We are thinking about $30 a day each for the average day - is that realistic? We don't plan on eating at high end restaurants - probably a mix of tex-mex and family friendly places like Applebies, TGI etc. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

I don't know who will appreciate this the most Bonfire or Speaker Corner. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/north_east/8570398.stm I am kind of hoping that John Rich will start a thread asking if England should ban penises Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

I don't ride it but I love it! I currently ride a clapped out 2002 Fazer 600 that is starting to fall to bits. Last year I wanted a new bike but wife vetoed it! This year she just said yes (a year of nagging will do that!) so I was looking at the R6 but I am unhappy with the height - don't like being on tip-toes - although I have a full test ride on the 10 version later this week. Next up were the CBR600RR and the ZX6R which have lower seat heights (same as Fazer) but then I stumbled on this beauty so we'll have to take it for a spin

The problem with the truly "super-rich" in the UK is that they can afford to spend a fair amount of money legally avoiding taxes and exploiting loop-holes. This means that at a certain point the wealthy pay virtually no tax (in the UK). I don't know of any online references for this but Robert Peston wrote a book on "Who is running Britain" that expanded on this. BUT as a person who runs a business I would say that what employees call "rich" is largely disconnected from what business owners see as rich. Most of my friends run business's with turnovers ranging from £0.5M to about £5M and with very few exceptions we would be better off being employed once you account for the risks and amount of time that is put in. It makes me laugh when I get in to work at 4am and you send an email and get a reply within 10 minutes - what the hell are we working for! The average employee doesn't take a 10th the risk that many small business owners take. I have very little experience with people getting rich through large corporates so it might be less "fair" when you get rich through someone else's business. It is all so very relative - I am pretty sure that every contributer to this thread is "rich" but global standards so would you like your 50-100k salary being taxed 90% or capped at 10k to make it fairer for someone in Uganda? Lastly if you are specifically talking about bankers who got rich through incompetence and are still taking huge bonuses after effectively being bailed out by the government then it is not a matter of taxation but in my view criminal negligence. Any other business would go bust and the directors could have faced criminal prosecution - it is wrong that the senior bankers have not been sanctioned. Ok... I'm confused. Did she have "unlimited" texts, or did she have 3000 texts? It appears she asked for unlimited, knowing she was going to text a lot, and that was a very responsible thing to do. Did you tell her the plan was unlimited? Did the company tell you the plan was unlimited? Or did the company tell you the plan was 3000 texts, and did you pass this information along to her? Or did you choose a 3000 text plan instead of the unlimited plan she asked for? If she asked for an unlimited plan and was given a 3000 text plan, it's understandable that she exceeded it, if she thought the plan was unlimited. Did you attempt any kind of negotiation with the phone company? I don't know how it works where you live, but I know if I call my phone company and say "Hey, I totally overextended my minutes/texts last month... how about we change my plan to compensate for that from now on, and hey, can you make it retroactive?" They've said yes every time and saved me hundreds in the process. It never hurts to ask. Yes part of growing up is learning to read things like Terms and Conditions - she sat and read the T&C's. Our provider has "unlimited texts" but with a fair use policy of 3000. She knew this and for a couple of months she kept the text counter set on her phone so she knew exactly how many she sent a day/month. With all due respect to the couple of posters here who send thousands of texts a month, I can't see a "valid" reason to send that many texts (3000) - whether you are 13 or 30, so I have no problem with the fair use policy restrictions. On the phone company, she knew the rules and flouted them. To accumulate that many texts she was texting till 1am on School nights - her curfew for texting was 9:30pm. She broke a number of "rules" and it does her no harm to be "punished" by someone other than her parents (i.e. the phone company). She has accepted responsibility and has agreed to work 100 hours (unpaid) to pay of the debt. Sure I am going to be called "father" rather than Dad for the next few days but I can live with that. That could be easly resolved with the Firefly phone. There are two (!) buttons on the basic model, one for mom and one for dad for emergencies, plus 50 preprogrammable numbers, no texting, no problem. Not cool enough? Well tough, then you get nothing. Most of us here grew up without cell phones and computers and turned out fine. Sheesh... http://www.fireflymobile.com/glowphone/ too true - phones are a real status symbol. She already has it "tough" in that she doesn't have an I-phone (most of her friends do). Anyway she hit puberty very young - so hopefully we are well into the growing up phase and not just punished for longer! Just another reason why we should show more respect toward animals
nigel99 replied to Lucky...'s topic in Speakers Corner
Maybe you should ask the dog, what it considers to be abuse. Keeping a Husky or any other working dog inside of a house, at 75 degrees, is abuse.... My little Austrailian Cattle Dog insists on spending the evening, with me, but come midnight, even on the coldest nights, she wants to stay outside... And she's a short haired dog. If you want to pursue the animal abuse angle, go after obese people, who have dogs so fat, that they can't move....Now, there's a worthy cause. Did you hear about the Chinese bumper sticker? "A dog is not just for christmas, with a good deep freeze it good for new years to" Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived. -
Yes she was already moved onto Pay as you go at the beginning of this month (before we got the bill). She was really put out that PAYG is more expensive per call/text and so she got less for the same cash. As to the bill UK law allows a child over 13 to work - as we have our own company she has been offered a job (properly and within the law with council permits etc) at the minimum wage. It will take her 6 months at 4 hours a week doing office work to clear the debt. She has been told she is free to find a better paying job if she wants to clear her debt quicker, but it must also be fully within the law and not include activities like delivering newspapers. I am hoping that it will help her to understand that money = work. On the bright side - it is funny to see how common this is - I was beginning to think that she was "special" Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

thanks for all the replies - some good advice all round (especially the barrell) Freakflyer we have a keylogger on the shopping list, as we don't want to ban her from the PC but she does have limits in place and besides discipline there is safety to consider. I also remember the screwed up emotions of teenage years - I remember getting really pissed with my parents for accussing me of being drunk - everyone knows you shouldn't mix drink and drugs Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

Our teenage daughter is rapidly destroying my wife and my will to live! She's 13 and recently has developed a major "power" complex where she figures that the world owes her and she is in control. It started off with us letting her have a facebook/msn account and her then refusing access to her password/account. This was closely followed by her setting herself up as admin on the home machine and everyone else as restricted user! Fortunately I am pretty computer literate and being a home machine there was nothing that a format couldn't fix Next we had problems with her on her mobile (she's had it for about 2 years for "safety" and historically has been pretty responsible. About 3 months ago she asked to use her pocket money to have "unlimited" texts. No problem and fair use policy allowed up-to 3000 texts a month which I did not think a human could exceed! She managed 7000 texts in a month - resulting in a bill of £400! She's lost phone rights and is on a PAYG now but it means we now need to passcode our phones to prevent her "stealing" texts etc. How the hell do people survive this? Any punishments we deal seem to just be like water off a ducks back... Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

There is no puzzle, only a wait until Jo's advisors let her present the evidence conclusively proving that Duane was Cooper. Galen Cook should be relieved that Jo tipped him in time to avoid publishing a book destined to be discredited. There is no body in the Death Woods Jerry. You'll need another excuse to visit those Washougal cabin widows. Duane pulled. He had Ranger training, avoided the river and did a great PLF. Nobody could fly an unmodified C9 like Duane Weber, no sir, nobody. Slips, 4 line cuts, riser turns, Duane knew all the tricks. 377 you know how many times that claim has been made in this thread By the way I was thinking if a couple of us get together there is a patent in the waiting here. Think about it some 25 000 posts to convey the simple information "Duane was Cooper" surely if we can figure out the compression algorithm behind that it would be one of the most efficient ever If that fails to fly we could always try using this approach in reverse as encryption... your point is? It looks identical to the ae911 video of the towers being demolished Seriously I believe it is quite difficult with demolition to ensure that the building implodes and falls in on itself. Surely terrorists or weird governments happy to kill people would WANT the towers to topple onto adjacent buildings to maximize the death toll? Or are the deaths fictitious and part of the cover-up?
