Look's to me like the US doesn't care about what the UN decides. Or if Iraq is going to comply or not. http://www.msnbc.com/news/872126.asp Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Ive seen PD do this in Deland, a few time's. Its even in one of their advertising video's. Only thing is they didn't land it one of em cut away at about 2500 ft. Looked fun. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of! -

Im using 2 mac's running virtual pc, to run windows program's. And a pc running w2000 all set up as a workgroup. I dont want to convert the Macintosh drives to ntfs because Im afraid it will mess up the macintosh programs that run on the drive. I created an account called internet users, and made them members of the user's group. This makes it so that they can't save anything, or download, but for some reason the one program that can be downloaded is msn im. I tried downloading other programs just to test and it wont let me. Then just to see I made the Internet users, members of the guests group, and deleted them from the user's group. And the same thing happen's. Im wondering if microsoft does something to allow you to download microsoft products no matter what the permission's. Also I dont want to spend the money on server so I cant install active directory services. Well legally. Thanks for all the help Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Sorry, I just realised what I did. The company that makes the pro-trac and pro-dytter is a very good company. I have a both of their product's and other than the little clip that breaks too easy their dytters are awesome. Also their customer service will be hard to beat. I have sent them both of my pro dytters, and they replaced them no questions asked, free of charge. Not many companies will do that. I just think that the Neptune has more to offer, and maybe soon L&B will keep up with competition and offer the same things as the neptune. Until then I am looking forward to getting my Neptune, since my main interest in skydiving is canopy. I also own a time out, which I used for 500 jumps without a problem, And Barring the Evo2000 mishap, each company mentioned has a good record for treating its customers well, and offering a top notch product. So my answer to which Dytter you should buy? Whichever one suits your need's the best. Time out: set 2nd and 3rd warning, Adjustable for the first. Pro-dytter: Fully adjustable warnings and slightly smaller profile. Pro-trac: Fully adjustable warnings, ability to log your jumps, Total freefall time and, fastest/slowest fall rate. More expensive than the pro-dytter and Time out. Neptune: Everything that the time out, pro-dytter and pro-trac does, as well as acts as a wrist mounted alti if needed, and has a canopy mode. Also Waterproof, and as for now cheaper thn the pro-trac but more expensive than the pro-dytter, time out. I might have missed something and Im sure I did but this is just a general idea on the product's. Hope it helps Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Thank's I'll look into zonealarm. I want all the computer's in the network to access the internet. That is what they all are their for, nothing else. But I dont want anyone to save anything or delete anything or change any configuration's. That is why I made them all members of the user's group. I then changed them to the guest's group to limit their permissions more, and now they cant save or delete anything, but for some reason Msn Im gets through the crack. W2000 pro is supposed to have the ability to stop people from doing just what I wanted, but you know Microsoft its full of holes. Once again thanks for the help and I will look at zonealarm. If anyone knows how to keep w2000 from doing this using just w2000 it would be appreciated. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

I am running all the computer's on a router. Im just curious does the router you listed have options that would block download's if your not administrator? Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Disabling ports probably won't work - IIRC, MSN can use 80. As far as disabling certain programs or downloading of stuff, you'll probably want to setup a policy. You running AD? Not running active directory, Im not running server, just proffessional. By making the internet user's group a guest it's stopping them from downloading anything but msn im. It's frustrating, everytime I find a way to stop anyone from downloading msn im someone finds a way around it. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Im trying to set up a w2000 network, for use with the intenet for browsing only. I created a InternetUser's account, and made them members of the user's group. My intent was to not let them download anything. But for some reason they can still download msn im. Nothing else, does windows bypass microsoft downloads, and saving? Any Ideas on how to keep people from downloading Im, or at least disabling it. I know msn Im uses specific ports maybe disabling them will work. Any ideas let me know. Thank's. Also I cant covert the drive to Ntfs due to os conflicts in the network. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

There is a bunch of posts already out there on this subject, do a search. But just in case I have rebel2000 that has taken hundreds of really good skydiving pictures, as well as ground shot's. And you cant beat the cost, and weight. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Neither, Alti2 has a new one coming out very soon its called the Neptune, it blows away all the competition. Im sure you can do a search for it and find a site that describes it. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

That's what I meant. 30 or 40 is a rather Low guestimate. Smaller than 90 is becoming rather common. One can only guess that larger sizes will come about fairly soon. (soon being a season or 2) Maybe he meant 30 ro 40 people that would want to buy an A-Max under 90 square feet. This type of canopy has a lot of competition. *** I just pointed out what it was designed for. I don't think it is likely that you will break a riser during a horseshoe, thus making the Collins Lanyard a non-issue. In a horseshoe, you will pull your cutaway handle and release BOTH risers (unless you are an underachiever and don't pull the handle that last inch). A cutaway from a horseshoe will not always release both riser's. Have you ever seen the Breakway video? Billy Webber had to manually release both riser's, one at a time. That was what I was referring to. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Who knows the official change in the rules that came down at the IPC meeting? I heard that from now on the womens team has to have a girl videographer, and has to be from their country. Also I heard a lot of rules came about for competition videographer's. Anyone out there know what the rules are? Thank's. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

*** He had it figured out. You must know something no one else know's. Bill Booth claims in previous post's that he didn't abandon it, he was waiting to perfect it, and design a way to implement it with a spring loaded pilot chute. And I dont see any reason to question that. *** The Collins lanyard was invented to ensure a clean breakaway in the event of a premature release of an RSL equipped riser on tandem systems, preventing the reseve from becoming entangled with the main canopy that is still attached by the other riser. What point are you trying to make here? I know fully what a collins lanyard is, and what it does, you were asking how neccessary it is in a sport rig, and I was just stating it is a backup for sport rigs equiped with a skyhook.Quote Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

One day I broke down driving to Ohio (still dont know why I was going to Ohio) in Kentucky. It took 3 day's for my car to be fixed and across the street from my hotel was this old, really old cemetary. It was snowing and being from Florida I went for a walk to see the snow ect. So I went to the cemetary and walked around. It was weird as hell. Everyone in the cemetary was from 1875-1905, and the oldest anyone lived to was 12 years old. Me and my Mom walked around and looked at all the tombestones just to check. But on the biggest stone, and also the oldest person (a girl) I saw a poem that I still remember today. Here it is: Remember friends as you pass by. You are now as once was I As I am you soon shall be prepare my friends to follow me. That was on stone from 1905. Weird I cant remember the year I learned to drive, but I remember that perfectly, kinda gave me the creep's. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

All I saw at the Bonehead exibit was mostly military, but they did have a new camerahelmet, top mount I liked a lot. I also didn't look too much because it was packed with people and I didn't want to wait. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

*** Bill, I don't know exactly when you started on this system, but Mark had already jumped his system at Z-Hills several months (at least) BEFORE he and Marta were employed at RWS in 1990 (you can check your employee records). The only difference I can see between this system and the one you "abandoned" about 10 years ago (I never got a close look at it) is the addition of the Collins Lanyard. It is a notable improvement, but I don't see a rash of solo jumpers with broken risers. So that begs the question, why is it such a breakthrough now? I think it does have merit for use on Tandems and some very specialized applications, but I don't see it as a "save all" for every jumper. One other question- how do you pin check the system? I don't think there is any way to make sure the system is hooked up properly after it is packed. FWIW, I have a lot of respect for Bill and his accomplishments, but this isn't as revolutionary as everyone thinks it is. Quote Take a good look at the system, you will see a lot of difference, as Bill already mentioned exactly, how a sorcerer and the skyhook is different. Think about how many people this system could have saved in the past, And also he didn't abandon it like you said, he was trying to figure out a way to implement the skyhook with use of a spring loaded Pc, which couldn't be used with the sorcerer design. Also the collins lanyard isn't totally neccessary but it does help in the event of a horseshoe with a cutaway, where the riser's dont release at exactly the same time. Also it is another safe guard. And if you look at the V3 with the skyhook it is very easy to check to see if everything is ok. Revolutionary? Dunno. Great idea? I think so, and everyone that this system saves will agree. Also If marta and mark have an issue with who designed it first Im sure they will let us know. Blue ones. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Im learning how to pack reserves, and the first two attempts was without packing weights (too eager to wait so I practiced at home a few times). All I ended up with was an extremely sloppy, ugly pack job. So the next day I go over it a few time's with help and weight's and after a few time's I finally produced an impressively neat pack job (took forever). But I wanted some more practice and all I could find to take home with me was a set of packing clamps. Its a lot harder to pack with clamps or so it seem's. Im sure it cant be that much different, Am I doing something wrong? How do you prefer to pack? Weight's or clamp's? Any hint's tip's will also be much appreciated. I quess this can also be answered for Base pack jobs also. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Anyone else watching this? Some of it sound's scary but some of it sounds far fetched. I dont think it is possible for anyone to use a food proccessing center for food, and then swithch it to a biological/chemical production facility, then at the drop of a dime switch it back. These things leave a nasty residue. Clean up must take a lot longer than that. If it was happening you would think that the inspectors could definitely find some trace of it. But on the other hand the sattelite pictures do have something to add. What do you think? Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
