After reading about Pep Boys firing someone due to being called to duty, I wrote them a letter informing them that if this is true they would no longer be serving me. The Norgie 4 way team has video of entire jumps with them doing block's and random's completly on their knee's. IS it all white? The canopy on his wall is all white, About the pressing charges, I just wanted it back, so the police told him that he had 2 choices return it or he was under arrest, if they arrested him he might have been inclined to destroy the evidence and I was afraid of that. Also if I did press charges they would have to keep my canopy as evidence until the court date. But now he know's that it is illegal to take these thing's, there have been other previous incedents with this guy. Hopefully no more were actually going to use the catch more bee's with honey approach by letting him know that there is usually a small reward for returned canopie's, since he is in an area that is prime for cutaway landing's. 1.74 but it flew great, and it had 35 jumps on it (DONT ASK) but the Pd 106R is a great canopy, just dont try and land it unconcious and also you should be smart enough to know that this isnt a reserve for everyone (Not you rino, general statement). I also hooked it, and that was hard with 12 inch riser's but I got a swoop out of it also, so that was a + and I packed it and opened great. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Those are the biggies. On canopies the serial number is located on the warning label (generally sewn onto the center cell at the tail). Location of the data panel on containers vary, but they are usually on or near the pocket that holds your data card - check your owner's manual if you can't find it on yours. Cypres s/n's are on the main unit inside the reserve container. A good rigger will note s/n's for the container, reserve and Cypres on the packing data card when s/he assembles the rig. Make a list of your s/n's - and don't keep that list in your gear bag! I have one in my important papers file; not a bad idea to have multiple lists "just in case" (maybe one at work or in a safety deposit box too). Pictures of each item and copies of invoices from each purchase can be very helpful in putting together either a police report or an insurance claim. Logbooks - I had a bag full of skydiving equipment stolen out of my car in the past. Luckily I found my jumpsuit and logbook (they kept everything else). My current logbook has not only have my name, address and both home and work phone numbers in mine, but also - in big letters - "LARGE REWARD OFFERED! IF FOUND PLEASE RETURN TO:" Gear is replacable; the memories in my logbooks aren't. I learned something new about this today, Performance Design's laser codes all canopies. So even if they cut the label off you can still find the SN inside the canopy. Now that the other problems are solved, I can finally say I owe Beer! First save on a reserve I packed. And best thing is the save was me! Great news!!! I just picked up my canopy from the Deland PD, they had to do a little persuasion with the guy and let him know that right now no charges are pending but if didn't turn it over, they would be forced to arrest him as the evidence was good enough. So he, after denying the fact replied oh is that one of those things with the strings on it? Oh I found one of those in the woods the other day. So the F-er gave it back and its unharmed, except he took it off the risers and untangled it, I asume he was prepping it to add to his collection of wall trophies. I did get to tell the police that the other canopies have serial #'s and the USPA web site has an list of all stolen/lost canopies reported.
