Yep saved em, Im just about to go to the park where the guy work's/lives and try and find out if he is the boss, and if not Im going to talk to his boss and let him know. And since it is a public park then he has to have a boss somewhere so I will find him and talk to him. And Im just about to call the nice Officer and let her know that there are serial #'s on all the parachutes on his wall and they might have been reported missing/stolen. Damn If I didn't have bad luck I would have no luck at all. Today I had a cutaway. Cool footage Mike miyer shot perfect video of it on a hop and pop. Then he caught my freebag (Thankyou Mike) and followed my main. I tried to follow my main but on a PDR106 it wasnt happening so I landed far away. Anyway my main lands Mike films where it went and run's to get it. Upon reaching where it should have been (big park right in front of some trailor) he sees some guy running into his van carrying it and driving off, then he ask's the homeowner about it and he says "What canopy" Luckily he filmed this cause his camera was still on, and some guy was walking his dogs, he asked him did you see a canopy, and the guy says "Yes they just said hey look a parachute and the picked it up and hauled ass with it, it was the guys that live there and they were driving a black Van". That was also recorded, Soon after my cool friends calming me down from going over and having a "PERSONAL" talk with them I called the police and luckily had a very nice Police woman, she went over to inform them of the felonius nature of their crime, and that there was witnesses and Video and that if they didn't choose to return the canopy they are responsible and would go to jail for felony theft. So I am hoping that the Losser's friend will call him and let him know that he's busted and to give me my canopy back. Oh yeah and to add to that he had his house decorated with canopies, must be nice for all us skydivers to just drop $1500 wall decorations near his house, I did let the officer know that their is Serial#'s on those and she could check on them, I hope one of them is reported stolen. Im sure they dont know, and actually its cool kinda adds to the legacy. I saw my first tornado the Monday, driving to Miami, Cool as hell but it was very shadowed, by the rain flying sideways (yep not down straight sideways) and there was Green lightning flashing in balls. I never saw anything like it. Very exciting, especially with the radio not playing due to the emergency broadcast warnings. The only bad part about it is the rubberneckers stopping in the middle of I 95, yep you guessed it, I smashed my car up good trying to stop, but the good news is the guy hauled ass, and the cops that saw it let me go free, and since technically it was my fault that rock's. I have a diamond .03 and a .05 the lenses Rock for skydiving. The only problem I have is they confuse my camera, the focus is off and you cant use infinity. Also on big ways there is a little distortion on the edge. but for Freefly it is great and I use the .03 for 4way, but you have to be on top of things literally. the .05 diamond is great and I reccomend it for beginner to intermediate cameramen, but if your tight you will loose edge. I did attempt to measure my Sony 30mm .06 with the Diamond .05 and the Kenko .43 here is the results. sony .06 #1 wide diamond .05 #2 wide Kenko .43 #3 Diamond .03 actually the best. I have no Idea why this is, numbers should be numbers, Maybe the measuring scale is questionable. Another thing is the Kenko .43 you need to zoom a little to not see the lens in the shot. But I agree with the original post and I would buy these lenses again if I had to. For what they are for Skydiving video they work great, for general video then you can spend your money on a better lens cheaper or more expensive. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Stalling a Velocity is Highly not reccomended, well unless you want a cutaway. I have talked about this with Scott Miller one of the main test jumpers of the Velocity pre release and he said that it isnt a good idea. Adding to that I dont recall a lot of cutaways when they were testing them, but if he say's it isnt a good idea its probably not and I will take his word for it. Added, I fly as full brakes as possible on my 96 and 90 after opening so I can land last and have some fun landing, but I have had a few times that I have had partial stalls (one side) and that was scary there is an edge and I dont want ot pass it. That is an issue I had, and when I talked to John Le Blanc he mentioned the same thing. The wax I recieved is supposed to dry when applied, but I still havent tried it out. But I will on small areas first, then to the whole lineset if that work's. But it is a little slippery and I am wondering if it will cause faster opening's. Vectran when from the factory is impregnated with a silicone based lubricant with a Uv inhibitor. Archery fan's that use Vectran line impregnate their lines with a (wax) made especially for Vectran. Wax is just a term, I believe it is more of a silicone based lubricant with some wax in it. I have talked to the manufacturer's (Vectran Manufacturer's) and asked their Ideas on this application for skydiving, and they stated that they feel this would benifit the life of the lines, but any ideas on it should be sent to the canopy manufacturer. I just recieved a supply of Line lube and I am going to try it soon, I just got new lines so there isnt a need, but anyone with Vectran line's knows how they dry out over time, and as soon as they do I am going to try it out and see. Call Tso-D in Deland they have the DVD/Cd-Rom. Its called the Phalinx project (Or something not so sure. But its from a guy named Wes the same guy that built Rickster Powell's helmet. Lucky girl, her canopy landed right in front of her, and her handles were found the next day in pretty much the same area. Now SKymamma has a spare set. I understand the thoughts of Tom A, and agree with him mostly, Just trying to make humour at the over moderating going on. Its his rules and we all have to live with them, but that doesn't mean we have to be happy about it. He even knew he wouldn't get overall positive response to his moderation of the post, as he mentioned. I think that some people would actually benifit from site naming sometimes, especially the legal one's. How many people do you think got introduced to ??? jumping by bridge day? Also the ones that did recieved training on gear and saftey, an asset to the sport I think. And I might not have impressive base jumping numbers but I do have number's. Ok the smart ass in me took over. After reading the excellent report from Mexico, I was surprised to see that it was modified. Site naming and the policies involved make sense but this is ridiculous. It was a Legal trip. I think that if we have to be so pampering to the idiots of the world to not name legal sites, just to keep someone that doesnt know better from going there, then maybe we need to change the name, no more B.A.S.E. jumping lets call it ?.?.?.? jumping, come on if you tell someone bridge, antennae, or span they just might be tempted to try one of them. Site naming Illegal sites is a bad idea, but the many legal places and especially events shouldn't be held back, and you can easily do a search to find somewhere to jump. Education is better than restriction. Maybe you could add a (???? jumping is a dangerous sport, attempting to do so without proper training can and most probably will result in death, if you dont die and you get caught at a popular ???? site you will get flogged by your local ???? jumping community) to every legal site post, then that would keep people from doing something stupid. But judging the complexity of organizing a trip to Mexico (Is that saying too much) I dont think some weekend yahoo is going to go there for his first ever ???? Jump. And most probably would be interested in contacting whoever is organizing the trip's and arranging training and equipment for the trip. Yes call Relative workshop, they will hook you up. Only problem is if the channel on the risers you have might not be big or long enough to accept them, you might want to measure it and let them know or even ask them.
