  1. I get this "fringe" feeling from the lib.org website in general. The website gives me the impression of nostalgia for history that comes from disenfranchisement and lack of understanding of the why's things are what they are today. EVERYBODY wants less govt and less taxes. But, Thomas Jefferson was from another time period where manufacturing, production and business models were different and Isolationism and pure independence of other countrys' imports were possible. "Intrusive" foreign policy is not a form of policy; it's the only way. Only the most poorest of third world countries aren't stakeholders of the rest of the world. I swear that some of the ideas from that site came out of the group meeting of a veranda of a 1800's plantation. Philosophically and economically speaking, the Lib.org's remind me of the Amish. Lib.org is Escapism Politics. This is why they are ignored. He shoots... OH!!! Airball. 2. They could have avoided all of this headache by simply naming their kid "Dweezil" or "MoonUnit." Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  3. Because history tells me that people that reveal themselves to be nutcases BEFORE the election rarely get elected. "Nutcase "is a strong characterization. Mind elaborating on why you think he's a nutcase, or are you completely ignorant of Ron Paul and what his ideas are? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  4. He is on a roll. See his spelling in these last few posts? Yay rush. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  5. Is it at all possible for you to not make a post with a misspelling in it? This post was only four words for fucks sake. SPELLCHECKER...it's your friend. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  6. Here in suburban Philadelphia I keep seeing decorative lighting in the theme of Santa, sleighs, reindeer and such in front of houses...but I ask myself, where in bloody hell is the theme of what Christmas is really all about -- Jesus? So in the spirit of things Christian, I was thinking of having a nativity scene on one side of our property, and a custom made, illuminated 12-foot crucifix on the other side, with the caption "BORN TO DIE" in flashing lights, to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the purpose of his life, which was to die for our sins. Think this would go over well, especially in a predominately Jewish neighborhood? Anyone else have some non-pagan, Jesus-praising house decorating ideas for the holidays? 7. Not to mention needlessly obnoxious. I fucking hate reading shit in all caps. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  8. I'll bet you they would stay in business. Only difference is that their CEO's bonus/salary would not be quite as high. A lot of big business decisions are made to benefit the guys at the top. Especially manufacturing abroad: pay *way* less for labor, sell the same goods for a price that's only slightly cheaper than the price would be if the goods were manufactured here at home, more profit margin and more money for the CEOs and VP's. Oftentimes, it's that simple. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

  10. I don't mean it as an insult. So have you ever considered proofreading/spell-checking, or do you think that decent spelling/grammar are in the domain of "elitist liberals?" Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  11. Ever consider that your busted spelling/grammar screws your credibility? Proofreading, spell-checking...look into them. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

  15. ...remember that typing in all caps is the stuff of obnoxious drunk people. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  16. I know how to look someone in the eyes and give a firm handshake, but you would never hire someone like me -- I absolutely suck at interviewing. I do make a good employee though. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  17. So true. What gets me is the way proponents of our world-policing policies beat their chests with pride in what we do...while so many of them at the same time admit that their government lies to them. A serious contradiction in ideas. Some of the things the founding fathers said back in the day, like this, ring prophetic today. And yet, here we are... Good luck with that. While I admire the writer's optimism, I think he's a bit out of touch. Given most Americans' apathy and lack of social/political consciousness, I don't see this happening in the near future. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  18. Bill, do you have a rebuttal to all this? You gonna let these heathens know what time it is or what? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  19. Booked my tickets yesterday. Will be staying in West Palm Beach from 25th-2nd and will show up at the DZ as many times as my non-jumping significant other can tolerate ...here's to hoping I can convince her to do a tandem. Is there online registration or do I pay when I get there? Will there be packers for the lazy, packing-impaired like myself? How many and what kind of aircraft? Are there amenities for non-jumpers who might get bored, like a pool or something like that? Pardon all the questions, just curious! Did Z-Hills 2 years ago, Eloy last year, this time Sebastian...I'm psyched!

  22. By the way, We agree there. We call his bluff and don't give him so much significance by ignoring his rhetoric. and No, he isn't. Ever hear of the Bering Strait? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  23. Thanks for answering my questions. But I think we have differing ideas of 'common sense.' Common sense tells me that we can't go meddling in the affairs of every part of the world when we're already running ourselves into a massive debt that's going to take generations to pay off. Meddling in affairs elsewhere may result in military action, and more debt. I don't want more war. And I don't think we need to lose any more friends than we've already lost. In that sense, I am a bit of an "isolationist." Further to that, I don't think that we'll gain any support in South America by trying to convince other governments there that Mr. Chavez is the bad guy, when the pendulum is already swinging left in that part of the world (Morales in Bolivia, Correa in Ecuador, and I think Brazil has a leader that leans left as well). If you blame those countries' election results on Chavez's hot air and bluster, I think you're giving the man too much credit. Common sense tells me that we should ignore his talk and maybe address his actions. What he's doing in his own country is their business; the Venezuelan people need to fix it, even if it means some of them dying. If he's seeking nukes or trying to invade other countries, then maybe we should address the situation. If he's eroding democracy in his own country, then that's their problem, not ours. We should be busy questioning our own government rather than questioning others. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  24. So diplomacy *first.* If that doesn't work, then what? It probably won't work, since Chavez has leverage with large supplies of oil and doesn't necessarily need us as a client. So what comes next, outright invasion? If so, would you volunteer to take part in that invasion, since Mr. Chavez is such a thorn in your side (you've posted about him many times before)? Tell us. And like I said earlier, this same phenomenon is taking place in Russia with Putin. So should we do something about him too? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  25. How can you ask that question while overlooking the hyrax and axolotl? How very myopic of you. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
