Well said, sir. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Buying cheaper food that is of the same price and same quality, to me, is capitalism. Buying cheaper food that is of potentially questionable, potentially pathological quality for the same price: I call that stupidity...gullibility...malleability on the part of the consumer. As far as trusting private corporations to take on the task of ensuring genetic diversity -- a task that has been under the control of nature for millions of years -- no thank you. I'd rather nature continue to take care of that part for me. I don't have such trust in private industry. Personally, I find both both offensive. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

It won't. It'll just raise the price of your non-cloned ribeye. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

What is their reason, you think? You can mass produce meat now, rather than having to wait for it to gestate naturally and grow. The only people this would benefit are those at the top of the big food corporations (and perhaps their stockholders). Thank you for reading that for me. I found the headline so revolting that I didn't bother reading the article. I'll be sure to either give up beef and lamb (I already don't eat pork), or make sure that the meat I consume is imported from countries that aren't yet cloning their meats. Let me guess now...cloned meats are going to sell for the same price as regular meats do now (maximizing corporate profits), and the price of meats labeled as "farm-raised, non-cloned" are going to shoot through the roof, following the path of non-GMO, "organic" produce. American consumers are so bleedin' stupid... Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

"FDA Says Clones Are Safe For Food" ...well, what a surprise. The FDA is a tool for the big food and pharm companies, so what would anyone expect? The FDA's word cannot be trusted, so I don't care how long their report is (even the most educated of consumers would probably not read through it anyhow). Cloned meat and genetically modified foods serve a single purpose: to maximize corporate profits. I won't trust any GMO's or cloned meats until I know whether there are any long term effects that result from their consumption. I hope that labels will be required for these cloned meats. Call me paranoid (I prefer this to be characterized as 'healthy skepticism), but I sure as hell will not be eating them and I will make sure that the restaurants I eat at do not serve them. Not long until we start seeing cloned people walking around... Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Don't you think it's more understandable that someone is enthusiastic about their child and is treating their kid like a human being (as opposed to treating their dog like a human being)? Extreme dog people are *far* more pervasive than extreme cat people, especially in NYC. I also noticed a certain militance in extreme dog people that I don't see in even the most extreme cat lovers -- the majority of the EDP (extreme dog people ) that I've met have an inordinate disdain for cats. I remember a date with a EDP woman that said she "doesn't trust cat people"...call me a jerk, but I made it a point to go dutch on that meal, something I rarely do. That's because I didn't plan on seeing her again. Most cat people I know don't have a strong disdain for dogs. They just prefer the company of cats. How very true. One dog I used to know (owned by an extreme dog person) would bark its head off whenever it would see other dogs. It would also bark its brains out at children, which I thought was rather creepy, not to mention a bad reflection on its owner. Because you have to be some sort of socially depraved moron to be that anthropomorphic with your animal. I'll admit to shedding a tear or two after loosing pets I've had for several years, but what kind of twisted dysfunctional existence must a person be leading to put a dog in a wedding dress? Makes me wonder what else they dress them as and what else they do with them? That ought to keep it in SC. Thanks, couldn't have said it better myself. I posted it here because I think it's a sociological issue. Freaking brilliant post. Try a Polar heart rate monitor and kill two birds with one stone. The HRM will allow you to gauge your fitness and progress, while the wrist piece also has a built-in timer.

Coincidentally, 'marzipan' sounds similar to 'marmoset' when uttered with a mouth full of marzipan. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -

Elitist -- what a joke. My impression is that guns are very important to Texans, which is why I said it's typical of a Texan. If you want to take that as condescending, that's your problem, not mine. I show great scorn toward this administration. In your book, is a Republican supposed to defend this administration? Does it not make me a Republican if I'm registered Republican and support Paul or McCain? Is there some kind of mold I have to fit in? Okay pal, I'm done with this your team/my team game, it's really stupid. This is a thread about conspiracy theories. If you want to play rough with me, why don't you just tell me to put my tinfoil hat on? That last word is all yours, go to town! As opposed to you, who never once ranted about republicans and almost invariably invokes the ol' CDIT whenever someone expresses disgust with the current administration. That's one of the most important issues to you? How typical of a Texan. With all of the money being made on guns in this country, coupled with a mammoth gun lobby, do you really think that the second amendment could ever get repealed? Not a chance, in my opinion. The anti-gun and pepper spray lobbies don't have nearly the $$$ behind them as the arms industry. I think you can rest assured that no one is going to take your guns from you or prevent you from buying new ones in your lifetime. Refer to Lucky's Warren Buffet thread if you're interested in seeing me rant about democrats. Nonetheless, I don't think binary. And I think it's a bit silly that you imply I lean democratic when my candidates of choice are Republicans. They're both pushing us to hell in a handbasket in different ways. It's more like 145mph vs. 150. To quote you, "your bias is showing." Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -

Look at which political party is pushing strongest TOWARD globalization/collectivism... Both parties are. Which one is doing it that much more than the other is irrelevant to me. I don't deny they both are, which is why I worded it as I did. One's just been at it longer. I'm not implying anything, I've outright stated it several times. Well, I personally haven't seen you state anything about the democrats and globalization before, which is why I figured you're implying something. I've seen you attack the democrats countless times on other issues though. I don't have your "my team vs. their team" mentality, so pardon if I'm completely missing your point about democrats -- I don't see how it fits into this discussion when both parties are guilty as hell of selling the people of this country out to multinational corporate interests.
