What is it about McCain that disqualifies him from your vote should he get the nomination? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Much easier to do that than ask questions or read. After all, if you hear enough "common thought" on the television, it must be true. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Okay. I still have yet to see any valid explanation of how McCain is so far left as you and other "conservatives" say he is. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

As I was reading this post, I was thinking this, and then you said it yourself. Says a lot about you as a voter...you'll vote based on your hatred of liberals rather than make a compromise for someone who has a clear conservative record with some issues that you may disagree with. I see many posters here calling McCain a liberal, with nothing to back it up. Other than some of his bipartisan initiatives, what makes him so liberal? I have yet to see or hear a valid explanation. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Words of utter ignorance. As someone above already said, autism is very real. It seems to me you don't know anyone with the condition, otherwise you wouldn't be trivializing the increase in diagnoses. Your list of "symptoms"... ...are hardly descriptive of any autistic spectrum disorders. It's obvious you (and/or the author of the article) are making light of something you know little to nothing about. My nephew has a mild case, and his symptoms include abnormally repetitive behaviors, a *very* particular diet (extremely difficult to introduce him to any new foods), trouble socializing with anyone (doesn't greet), among many other symptoms. And this is a mild case. These are not simple peculiarities you find in just anyone. If you're interested in learning more about this condition, you can use google to point you to some helpful resources on the web. If you're interested in making light of something you know next to nothing about, you should educate yourself before making posts from a standpoint of obvious ignorance. Reminds me of a movie (rough quote, not verbatim) -- "This team's goin places mate, and we can't guarantee ya a spot on the team anymore" "Goin places? It's just a cackaboot, a focken CACKABOOT!!" Can ya name that movie? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Well said; my sentiments exactly. I thought much of the movie was hogwash, but it did make me think and ask questions. That's what I got out of it, and I don't see that as a bad thing as some do. I made that point in previous threads and immediately heard the obligatory, predictable and oh-so-stale "tin-foil hat" remarks. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Me. I find her repulsive, and not only because she's a hate-filled opportunist bitch. She's also a horseface with big meaty man-hands who tries way too hard to make herself prettier than she really is. Her face is fundamentally busted beyond repair, no matter how many modeling-type shoots she poses or or how much the tv cosmeticians try to hussy her up. But thanks for sharing your twisted fantasy with us, that made for some rather entertaining reading. Not only that, but I think that Coulter's and Limbaugh's work would be tougher considering they wouldn't have a polarizing figure to cheer on for at least four years if McCain were to win the presidency. It would get them sick to see a Republican in office that has appeal to more than just the extreme neocon wing. That would explain why Coulter said she would vote for Hillary before McCain -- at least she'd have a Clinton to dump her venom on for another term. For Whom will you Vote in the Presidential Election
masterblaster72 replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
For one, it shows that he is a man of honor. Another -- he knows war firsthand, and for that reason he will understand and empathize with the troops and will make sound decisions when the time comes to be commander in chief. I think the fact that someone put his life on the line for his country commands respect and for that reason he would be a good leader. I disagree with a lot of things McCain stands for (anti-abortion, pro-Iraq war), but he is someone I can respect, even if he's sold out a bit lately. I think our current president isn't worthy of any respect at all. Of course, if it were an option I'd be voting for Ron Paul, but since the media has buried him into obscurity he's no longer a possibility. I'd love to see him run as VP alongside McCain. Yeah, fighting for your country in combat isn't worth anything, is it. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
US Food Supply - Abuse at Slaughterhouse

If it were up to me I'd feed the corporate execs and the FDA officials that allow this nothing but carpaccio and beef tartar made from those sickly cows for six months. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
Why do you think McCain is ill-suited? Being the mega-patriot that you are, don't you think it's pretty cool that someone who actually served his country in combat is getting a shot at the presidency? Edwards is out. Who will he support?
masterblaster72 replied to shropshire's topic in Speakers Corner
Dem vs. Dem Lite....yay! So tell me, how is anti-abortion, pro-2nd amendment, pro-Iraq war McCain a "dem"? Because there are people to the left of Strom Thurmond who support him? For a republican candidate to be considered a republican, is it a requirement that he be a polarizing figure? How do ya figure? Here in USA most of us don't hear the details of foreign politics, but it seems to me that he did a decent job -- look at the strength of your economy right now, for example. If someone gets uptight about putting cloned meat into their mouths just because it's not natural, and it might kill them, but wouldn't have a problem recieving a lab manufactured liver or heart created by stem cells, needs to look at their whole thinking process. There could be a necessity for a cloned organ -- someone's life could depend on it. On the other hand, I see absolutely no need for cloned meat for consumption. I see no hypocrisy in those viewpoints. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

I don't think anyone is in a conspiracy to "hide the truth." However, I don't trust the government -- especially the FDA -- to do its due diligence when it comes to ensuring things are safe for the population, especially when there is heaps of money to be made on the technologies they test. To me, due diligence = long-term testing. 14 weeks, to me, does not qualify as long-term. 14 years seems more like long-term testing to me. As far as the FDA not representing our interests -- look how many drugs have been recalled because they found out *later* that they were harmful. For such occurrences, I blame both the big pharm companies and the FDA for not doing its due diligence. For that reason among others, I don't trust what the FDA says. Again, I'll be comfortable with new food technologies after some long-term testing on products. You can call me a paranoid communist nut if you like. It won't change my opinion that the FDA's word cannot be taken at face value. And thanks for the links, will check them out later. And for calling me a paranoid conspiracy nut, I highly recommend that you eat cloned meat once it hits the market. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

How will you know if you're eating GM/cloned produce? I'll avoid supermarkets and buy from small stores where produce is certified organic, as I already do now. I pay more for it, and it's a matter of trust, I know, but I don't mind. It gives me peace of mind. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

I'll likely become a vegetarian once cloned meat hits the markets -- that's how I'll know. Been a vegetarian before, so it wouldn't be a difficult thing for me. As far as your 'gene banks' go, I see potential for a complete fiasco. I don't see recreating diversity from 'gene banks' as the solution for recreating the diversity that millions of years of evolution brought about. Corporations can make production of my televisions, computers, etc as efficient as they like. When they're fucking with my food, that's where they cross the line in my book. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Whatever you say dude. I'll just be sure not to eat cloned meat -- food is something that I take very seriously. Whether you choose to eat cloned meat or not isn't my concern. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
