BS Hyperbole? If you're not alarmed by an outright attack on our constitutional liberties while griping about goings on in South America, you're part of the problem. Americans should be outraged by our government's implementation and renewal of the Patriot Act and vote out every politician who voted in favor of it. So what are you going to do about Chavez? Invade Venezuela? Should we do this before we invade Iran or North Korea? At the same time, why don't we invade Russia? Putin has near absolute power there and plans on keeping it for a while, even past next year's elections. I'll be sure to offload my spot in Manhattan before this happens and cash in. I recently bought property in Philly too...Imagine how property values are going to skyrocket in Philly once people have no place to live or work in DC or NY...I'll be a millionaire in just a couple years' time. And perhaps Philly might even win a championship since there will be less competition from DC and NY! I see nothing but good news in this. Thanks for the update! PS I know you're not very keen on sharing the methodology of your gifted insights, but how do you see NY and DC in the bible? Can you at least provide that hint? For those of you who like Ron Paul . . .
masterblaster72 replied to Shotgun's topic in Speakers Corner
His words are consistent with his voting record. He answers questions clearly and logically. He is honest, and acts and speaks with conviction. He has the ability to bring people together. He respects the Constitution and he represents 'we the people.' If you depend on the television to be informed, you will learn next to nothing about him. You can watch this for starters, if you have the time -- might answer your question. " The worm has and is turning" peeps, get yr houses in order.... peace : DD Mind elaborating on the prophecy being fulfilled? Curious to hear more. Fox News->The Verdict->A Nation Of Sheep
masterblaster72 replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Fox News is probably paving the way for their attacks on a democratic white house + democratic congress, who of course will be entirely responsible for the 'sheep' phenomenon he is speaking of... Did you see the show Stewart where he tore Chris Matthews a new one and told him he thought his book was dumb? . Interesting contrast you present there. Jon Stewart actually gave the author the courtesy of reading his book. That's more than can be said about the jackass filling in for O'Reilly in the subject interview. *REPUBLICANS* Who is YOUR 2008 Presidential Candidate?
masterblaster72 replied to SkyChimp's topic in Speakers Corner
Why would you say that? He's smart -- he graduated magna cum laude from Ouachita Baptist University,. OBU - is that Ivy League? Even Dubya managed to attend Yale AND Harvard (although I'm sure the big donation from Grampa Prescott helped grease his "legacy" admission).. Did all that turkey somehow dull your sense of sarcasm? Good point. That's why I embrace his words with some skepticism (in other words, I don't take everything he says at face value). Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

You can have the best campaign in the world. You can have a good internet following. You can promise a "fresh change". But if your platform is described as this. . . . . .your credibility is destroyed. You may not need to have any knowledge of the Bretton-woods act but you have to understand that the gold standard can't be challenged without more of a cursory glance at what it means. Abolishing any organization because it is a beaurocracy, or you dont understand why it exists is a recipe for disaster. It will mean a big mess to clean up after he's fired. I don't know if he actually thinks he can get any of this stuff passed or if he is only saying it to attract a small group of voters, but sometimes changing something up doesn't always means its a good thing. This one has yet to learn where he can use the philosophies "change is good" or "a new fresh start" in the right places of his campaign to gather major support. so far, his campaign has a "true believer" feel to it. Not a good thing to collect voters. I don't think his credibility is destroyed. I do think some of Dr. Paul's ideas are a bit far-fetched, especially regarding dissolution of the Fed and a return to the gold standard. However, having a president with such ideas will bring the kind of balance we need in our government right now. Someone with his ideas (hopefully) will work to adjust the gross imbalance in our government we have now with both parties, neither of whom are representing the interest of the people who elect them. Because Americans watch too much television and don't read enough. As long as Americans are lazy and apathetic, presidential candidates will always suck. As long as Ellen Degeneris' dog, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Anna Nicole and Kanye West's mother are more important to Americans than things that actually matter, nothing will change. We get what we deserve. I know right! See attachments below, might make you feel better. I don't believe that the twin towers collapsed as a result of planned, controlled demolition for reasons you stated. Nor am I saying that everything in Loose Change was necessarily true. But they did go out of their way to support some of their points with documentation and video -- that I admire, and it's a sharp contrast to Zeitgeist, where basically no documentation was provided. That was the point I was making in bringing Loose Change up. Whether you believe the claims or not that were made in Loose Change is up to you; I'm not here to push their ideas. @mnealtx: Some of the claims in Loose Change do have me thinking, and unlike you, I am not completely convinced by all of the 'debunking' that I've read. The folks who made the movie backed their claims up with documentation and video evidence. That's what I meant by 'did their homework.' By that I did not mean that I am convinced by all of it. Some of it did leave me asking questions, however. If you believe that all questions left from the events of 911 have been answered as convincingly as possible (or that there aren't any questions to be addressed to begin with), well, that's fine; I don't care. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

My claim that they "did their homework" is not ludicrous at all. You're the one who didn't see the movie, not me. I've seen the History Channel's documentary on 911 Conspiracy Theories. My conclusion is that they did a good job of answering some questions, and a poor job of conclusively answering some questions that are raised in the Loose Change movie -- even though they claim to directly address all evidence presented in Loose Change (they didn't). I've seen both sides, and I still have questions. I think it's okay to be inquisitive and I don't mock others for asking questions. You haven't seen the movie, yet you're claiming that you're right. I don't know what to believe, but I know for damn sure that after having read/viewed both sides of the argument that some questions raised in Loose Change are definitely worth addressing. There are some questions that certainly haven't been answered conclusively. You haven't seen the movie, yet you read reviews on it and read sites that debunk its claims. And you're claiming I'm biased -- nice. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

I see. So you are in fact posting from a standpoint of complete ignorance. Bullshit. By your logic, every time you make a post about something in the news, you're "posting from a standpoint of complete ignorance" since you didn't actually witness it yourself. My claim about Loose Change is that there is evidence and documentation to support the points being made in the movie. You responded with dozens of laughing smileys. I'm not trying to change your opinion of 911. If you're confident in your opinions about what happened on 9/11/2001, that's fine. But to laugh at the idea that there is documentation behind a movie that raises questions about things we take at face value, when you haven't watched any part of the movie is... ...posting from a standpoint of complete ignorance. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

You're just one or two laughing smileys from making a point. So did you watch loose change, or are you posting from a point of view of complete "that's just conspiracy bunk" ignorance? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Watched it twice... I think it's worth watching, even if much of it is bunk. My major problems with it are: 1. The religion part -- much of it is a stretch. While they raise some interesting points, they don't go in-depth enough to provide concrete proof that all western religions are a take on astrology. Everything is mentioned in passing, though the claims that are made in the film require more than just passing mention if the faithful are going to even consider the points made. 2. No documentation provided in the movie. This was my biggest problem with it. If anyone wants to take this seriously, there should be evidence. There was very little evidence presented, other than Aaron Russo's testimony about Nelson Rockefeller's "chip" idea. If anyone is looking for a 911 movie with real evidence behind it, look into "Loose Change." The people who made that movie really did their homework. 3. The ending was strange. The open eyes thing at the end didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Nonetheless, the ideas in the movie are thought-provoking, and I think any person with a humble and open mind should watch it, even if some of it may be agenda-driven bullshit. The good thing about this movie is that it questions things that are often taken for granted, which I think is always a healthy thing. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

So it was a crap decision any which way you look at it, therefore it was a good decision. Now I know not to take your posts seriously anymore. By the way -- paragraphs. Look into them.
