  1. Look at which political party is pushing strongest TOWARD globalization/collectivism... Both parties are. Which one is doing it that much more than the other is irrelevant to me. Coming from you, I'm assuming you're implying its the democrats. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  2. There is something those who make the "tin-foil hat" comments don't want to get: most of the world's wealth is concentrated in the hands of *very* few people. With outrageous amounts of wealth in the hands of a few people who act in concert (Bilderberg Group is just one example), small groups can have tremendous influence over government and economies. I don't believe in a Masonic conspiracy or the "Illuminati" or the "Reptilian Agenda" or "chemtrails"...I think those theories are plain silly because there really is no proof to back those ideas up. But at the same time...I've posted these quotes before (without ever hearing a response about them)...when it's out of the mouths of the ruling elite themselves, I'd like to see how one can simply dismiss these words as "conspiracy bunk." James Warburg addressing the Senate: David Rockefeller (founding member of Bilderberg, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, and dozens of other similar organizations) from his 2002 memoirs: As far as corporations and their control go, look at our government and who's been buying it out for decades. Look at who globalization benefits in the end... But of course, it's easy to just dismiss it all as conspiracy bunk, because we don't hear about any of this in the mass media. I don't think that there's an "illuminati" or "reptilian" conspiracy, nor do I think that the inordinate influence these rich folks hold over world affairs is worth ignoring. I think the truth lies somewhere in between, and that people should be more aware of what's going on and vote accordingly. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  3. How true. I mean, look at how well that worked for us in the late 20's. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  4. Exactly -- people seem to be missing this. As much bs as there may be in this movie (my biggest problem with it is that there are no cites or documentation presented in the film), the fact that it raises questions is not a bad thing at all. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  5. As opposed to England, where the food isn't bland at all...because we all know how delicious English food is. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  6. Not to mention in the pull-down tables on airlines, on lampposts outside my apartment (for the new movie Cloverfield), on top of taxis, inside taxis, in movie theatres (captive audience again)...in pop-up ads, on the steps of Penn Station, etc... And you're okay with this? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  7. from MSN Money So this fellow Robert Walberg is talking about how low JetBlue's stock is -- interesting article, until he comes up with proposed solutions to raise the stock price: What do you think of these proposed solutions? Would you want advertising on a TV screen for hours on a plane? How would you feel about contacting someone in India after waiting on hold for 30 minutes to find out where your lost baggage is? Furthermore, why are American consumers letting companies get away with dreadful customer service? I find Mr. Walberg's ideas revolting, and I think it shows how out-of-touch people in board rooms are with reality...what do you think? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  8. Cool, see ya there! Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  9. It has long been the 'in thing' to say you're "happy" in the USA. With television shows like Oprah, countless "self-help" books about how to be happier, smiling faces on billboards, in magazines, in television ads, and other media pressures to be "happy"...it's become a custom for Americans to say they're "happy," no matter how people really feel about their lives. So some random Americans get a call on the phone asking "are you happy with your life"...and of course, the majority answer "yes." Wow, what a surprise. People are people everywhere...wealth helps, but I don't think it's the key to happiness in and of itself as this article suggests. From my personal experiences, I find Canadians to be happier (and friendlier) people than Americans... I think this article is a bunch of bullshit. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  10. Have you been to Europe and Japan? I'd like to know how you can back up what you said with such certainty (other than the more property+money argument). Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  11. The Bonfire will be renamed "Romper Room." Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  12. There's nothing to apologize for there; in fact, he should be thanked. I absolutely despise the Cowboys. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  13. I used to travel overseas a lot.. and believe me.. its rough being an american almost everywhere you can travel to these days..The last couple years I have stayed closer to home till some sanity arrives after the elections....or at least I am hpoing it does. Right, but it's usually the redneck dipshits who don't travel much outside the US who have the attitude "we're fine, if they don't like us, fuck'em, if they get outta hand well then we'll turn their country into a crater..." Pathetic. Whether we like it or not, we are all world citizens, including idiotic redneck Americans. Having the attitude that we're the best and that the rest of the world should eat our shit (and electing half-witted leaders that conduct foreign policy along those lines) will bite us all in the ass again one day, as it did six years ago. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  14. Don't bother asking Lucky questions. He (she?) will ask plenty of questions and expect you to answer them, but when you ask questions to Lucky, don't hold your breath. You might fare better trying to engage someone else in real dialogue here. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  15. My "over the pond" whiskey of choice is Laphroaig. Good stuff! Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  16. Except for that time when he went absolutely ape when they were selling merchandise in the synagogue... Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  17. Hah!! I've been outdone... Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  18. I respectfully disagree. Of course those organizations can't be dismantled overnight. However, someone with such ideas will bring the balance we desperately need in our government, as both parties are completely out of control in regard to spending money we don't have. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  19. Good luck getting any serious responses to this post. For those who make the tin-foil comments, I'd like to see what they have to say about David Rockefeller's own words from his memoirs: Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  20. I believe Ron Paul is an internet meme. He is the political equivalent of the "Chuck Norris" joke. Nobody in his right mind thinks Chuck Norris would actually make a good Texas Ranger, but kids enticed by the "idea" of Chuck Norris think he's cool and the jokes are funny. And again, I think they think Ron Paul is "cool" because he IS a nutcase. He's more honest and consistent and more in touch with reality than any of the other candidates. If that makes him a nutcase, then I like this nutcase. @dan_iv Even though quade is a moderator, I doubt he's taken seriously enough here to influence others, especially in light of his completely biased, baseless and ignorant comments regarding Ron Paul's candidacy. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  21. Ron Paul's response to your issue regarding contributions. Watch from 3:10 on... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrRtZaG63o8 Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  22. As long as I know it bothers you it will continue to get worse
  23. also a Heinlein character too I actually like the name I think it's a decent name too. Naming a kid "Monday" or "Tuesday" -- that would be a bit cruel. Friday is a day that everybody likes. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  24. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  25. Isn't there a precedent for naming someone Friday? I know it's a surname (and a fictional one at that), but he was known to the world as "Friday" nonetheless. Translating to " venerdi' " doesn't have quite the same ring to it though. A bit tacky. By the way, if there are famous people with the name "Ermenegildo" or my father's cousin "Nunzi" or my aunt in Rome who is named after the country -- "Italia"...I think the law should accommodate a name like "Friday." Pardon the non-PC comment, but I think Italians are second only to American blacks when it comes to naming their kids goofy things. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
