Thanks for the link to that site. Proves what a great deal I got on a house I recently purchased near my parents in Philly. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

People who fish: what the heck is this?
masterblaster72 replied to Nightingale's topic in The Bonfire
Good guess, but I seriously doubt that a moray could survive in fresh water. It certainly looks like an eel, but those teeth are not characteristic of any freshwater eels in North America...which is why I find this so puzzling. Speaking of ugly fish, here's a video of a fossil shark, caught off the coast of Japan. Fascinating... crab or salmon shumai - dumplings stuffed with... tsukune - chicken meatballs gindara kasuzuke - broiled fish marinated in sake paste. tempura - fried stuff kabocha - steamed pumpkin in fish broth or try "bakayaro" -- I forget what exactly it is but your waiter/waitress will certainly know. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

People who fish: what the heck is this?
masterblaster72 replied to Nightingale's topic in The Bonfire
Seems to have the body of an eel. But the very sharp teeth are uncharacteristic of an eel (still might be one though). I wonder how it tastes. I've had snakehead before when I was in southeast Asia, and even though quite ugly they're very tasty. Monkfish is also one ugly bastard of a fish, but delicious. Excerpts from Ron Paul's new book The Revolution:

It's not like McCain looked a whole lot better on TV than Dr. Paul. In the end, he was quashed because of his message. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -

Should Hillary drop out for the good of the Democratic Party?
masterblaster72 replied to Muenkel's topic in Speakers Corner
No. Her entitlement is more important than the good of her party, or the good of democracy for that matter. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
question about McCain as Republican nominee

Hillary Clinton, Re: "Misspeaking" about Bosnia Visit
masterblaster72 replied to masterblaster72's topic in Speakers Corner
But you're going to vote, right? Because if you aren't going to vote ... I see little purpose in voting when the choices all suck the big one. From a practical point of view, I don't think any of the candidates are worth waiting 30 minutes in line for at the voting station. Hillary Clinton, Re: "Misspeaking" about Bosnia Visit
masterblaster72 replied to masterblaster72's topic in Speakers Corner
Yep, I may vote the independant for just that reason. If enough people do that, a real message will be sent, and the vote won't be "wasted" as some would argue. Yeah. Unfortunately, people have been saying that for the last 40 years, yet election after election, absolutely nothing changes. Makes me just not want to vote at all. Hillary Clinton, Re: "Misspeaking" about Bosnia Visit

here ya go CBS's video footage of Hillary & Chelsea landing in Bosnia My question is: if you're a Hillary Clinton supporter (I know there aren't many on here), do you still support her? And if so, why? Just curious. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
What's this mean? Houses are on sale and people are now buying them. It means you were wrong in your first post in this thread. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

When the same people post the same predictable shit again and again, what do you expect -- the forum will inevitably lose its vibe. For those who weren't part of the bonfire clique from the start, there wasn't a community here to begin with. I think the 'community' you're speaking of is your Florida/Georgia/Texas (with a few scattered others) bonfire postwhore gang -- people who knew each other from way back. Then there are others like myself who got into the sport in 2004 who never really knew anyone. I take it this forum serves as a 'community' for those I mentioned above... though I'm sure that for the majority of people who use this site it's a small part of their otherwise interesting lives -- a good place to learn and exchange ideas, and perhaps for some to meet people (as I have). And I find it hilarious that some of those who complain about condescending posts are those who make them...I've seen it on here time and time again (quite often from those members of the bonfire 'community'). Just my two -- of course, I may be wrong. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

UntamedDOG. He made trolling an art form. darnknit could be pretty funny too on the occasions that he trolled by mocking existing threads (before mods straightened him out).

BS. Most people in this country get their information from the television, not the internet. Big (television) media x'd Ron Paul out from the start. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

It must be a generational thing -- I know people in their early 20's that find Dane Cook hilarious. I watch him and also find him to be completely un-funny (though I do credit him for being a fine public speaker). I suppose humor changes over time. Makes me feel old. Another Politician with "Keep it in his pants" Issues..
masterblaster72 replied to Amazon's topic in Speakers Corner
Thanks for that link...needed a good laugh this morning. Some of my favorites: "Elliott Spritz-her" "From Stud to Stunad" "Big Bust Replaces Public Trust" "Top Shrink Says Client 9 in Deep Number 2" "Gotham or Gomorrah?" "Spitzer: I'll Get Off Easy" "SPITZ QUITS; MRS. SPITZ HAS FITS: "GIT YER MITS OFF THAT DITZ' TITZ!" edited to add this gem: Cesar: "I came, I saw, I conquered." Spitzer: "I came, I saw, I came again." Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
Wrong. Here's the solution: Hire Blackwater "security contractors" to take over all poppy farms in Afghanistan. Give a no-bid contract to Halliburton to build poppy processing plants in Baghdad to manufacture heroin. Air-drop packages containing dime bags of heroin with spoons, lighters, cotton balls and needles all over all of Israel and Palestinian territories. Get both populations hooked on junk to the point where they're too concerned with getting their next fix rather than killing each other. Repeat for generations -- another indefinite business opportunity created for our beloved military contracting companies, all in the name of peace. Mission accomplished. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

The American population is one of the most easily manipulated in the world. A big reason for that is because we're watching too much television, and taking what we see on there as gospel. This thread has a similar theme. Sad thing is, there's no change in sight. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
