Hi all, When I try to convert my (large, high-quality) .dv file downloaded from my cameria into iMovieHD (on MacBook Pro) to a more portable format like .avi, it inevitably loses quality and the video becomes jagged or pixellated. I saw the film "The Secret." I want my two hours back. It was one of the most pathetic, unfocused and incoherent films I've ever seen. They put no stress on the idea of "action." They only stress the "power of positive thinking." Basically, their point is -- think it and it will come. Bullshit. Thinking is the catalyst. ACTION and WORK are what will bring results. Then all of the focus on cars, houses, and money. The film is a reflection on an ultra-materialistic society where convenience is god. How convenient it would be to just "think" and "get" as a result -- no work involved! Just sit on your couch and think about what you want and you'll be a millionaire -- how very convenient. And how very out of touch with reality. Watch it again -- I'm convinced you will see that 95% of that film is bullshit. That said, there were a couple of things in the movie that I liked, such as the encouragement of an "attitude of gratitude." I think it's important to not take things for granted, and I liked their point about that. Other than that, I thought it was a complete waste of time.
