    It's not specifically designed to make you blend into the sky, is it? No, but it is designed to make you blend into the ground. Might not be something you want should you be laying there injured, hoping your friends will find you. Or when someone above you looks down just before initiating a combat maneuver swoop and doesn't see you below them... as in there's a couple of mains that I've seen that are the old woodland camo...     I met my wife in 1969 (Jr. High School) and we dated in high school/college. After college, she went off to teach in South America. We got back together again at our 15 year reunion.     I'm all for "Personal Responsibility". That should hold true for the newb who's buying, and the experienced person who is selling. Here is the key... Personal Resposibility does not equal Personal Freedom. These are two very different animals. IMHO as always. What amazes me is, nobody has pointed blame at the manufactuers yet? I applaud that!     Hmm. Interesting senerio? Bottom line here... if you want to skydive, either tandom or AFF will get you there. Welcome to the sport. Sorry to hear that any TI's advances may have dampered (or not?) your experience. Another option here would be to go back to the same DZ to jump. You can fight off (or not?) this inappropriate behavior with a few simple words.... NO! Don't! Stop! No, don't! Stop! No, don't stop! Again, welcome to the sport.     Never appologise for posting common, good sense. @ OP... Check with your local instructors on size, but you might want to demo a couple canopies from the Manufactuers. It's a great way to try before you buy. Larger DZ's or Boogies sometimes have them available. Contact the Manufactuer of your choice.     I read that, but there is really no more info there about the actual incident itself. Doc... what is it your looking for? Clearely, your not interested in anything anyone has to say? I started this sport back in the 70's... many of the posters above have tons more experienc, knowlege, and jumps than I do!! Where do you suppose that puts you in the experience totem pole? I listen to these people, you should do the same. IMHO and stated as honestly and clearly as I can muster without losing my patience.

I think I saw it posted in the classifieds... "Used Velo, very small/cool, jumped once - never landed, slight stain". You lost this battle once! Why go down that road again?
