The scary part is Morsi now has control of the Suez Canal. I know a lot of people will not pick up on the significance of this fact, but they will if Morsi goes off the deep end..... I think this is more in line than anything else. The more you get into the details, the more you realize that unions killed Hostess. The "Bane style Ronmey Capitalist" talking point goes out the window when you look at the balance sheets and the details of the arguments. Hostess is over a billion dollars in debt and is currently bleeding $2 million a week. They have been hamstrung by 256 collective bargaining agreements from several different labor unions. Things that they were trying to negotiate out of were suck common sense items like allowing Wonder bread and Twinkies to be allowed to be delivered in the same truck. They quite literally had 6 people doing the job of one person, at union wages (which include skyrocketing health care and pensions....) Couple that with the government now trying to regulate what you eat in the new "Health Fad" sweeping the nation, and it's a loosing battle. Did I mention the $1 billion dollar debt? When filing chapter 11, the company assets are going to be liquidated and sold off to pay those debts first, and what ever is left over will be spread out. The investors that tried to make the company solvent for one more year while corporate tried to negotiate with the unions with a huge capitol infusion are going to loose their asses..... The only people that are going to still have a job or cash after this is the union bosses... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Do you think they would let you take a gun to this event? http://www.runforyourlives.com/ unfortunately, they won't even allow fake weapons on the course...messes with good costume ideas. pretty well run event though. Not a the place for a good PR though - my 55 minutes put me in the top 20% for the heat. Think of it more as 15 all out 50-150 yard sprints, with panting breaks and occasional mud in between. I haven't had a chance to run one yet. I didn't think it would be like a typical 5k with times between 20-25 min. Hopefully I will get a chance to participate if one ever comes close enough to me.

At least for such car magazines as: Motor Trends http://www.motortrend.com/oftheyear/car/1301_2013_motor_trend_car_of_the_year_tesla_model_s/ Automobile http://www.automobilemag.com/features/awards/1301_2013_automobile_of_the_year_tesla_model_s/viewall.html And Yahoo! Autos http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/tesla-model-2013-yahoo-autos-car-165907072.html Like I have said in the past, the reason the Volt failed is because you are paying $50,000 for a $16,000 car. The Tesla Model S may cost $50- $100 grand, but compared to other cars in it's price range, it is on par or maybe even better. That is why they are selling. Read the reviews. Are you claiming Bush was a straight "A" Student? Nope, just that he was a self admitted drunk who couldn't handle his booze. And Obama smoked dope, did lines of coke, and ate dog when he got the munchies. Your point? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. I'm going to go out on a limb and say not to many people read his book either.... They are still under the impression that you can go through school drunk and stoned, skipping classes and still be a straight "A" student... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Is the USA Unique and Exceptional (American Exceptionalism)
jgoose71 replied to wmw999's topic in Speakers Corner
The U.S. as a country is unique and Exceptional. We were the first country to have a peaceful transition of leadership and develop a government that was accountable to the people (though how accountable now a days is up for debate). That combination along with our military might is what has helped the stability and the ability to have free trade across the world. No other country keeps 2 bit dictators like those in Myanmar or North Korea in check. No other country has done as much to prevent Piracy from spilling out of Africa into the Indian Ocean and choking off trade through the Suez Canal. And France would not have been able to lead the charge into Libya without the U.S. to help with Command and Control. If you don't understand the importance of America in today's world, well, we'll elect BHO for 4 more years, continue to withdraw from the world and let the rest of the world fend for it's self. Good luck with the "Arab Spring." "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Well, it is funny that Obama's greatest foreign affairs achievements have come by continuing Bush policies.... Although I would have to say that the greatest failure on Obama's part has been the systematic disassembly of our intelligence apparatus. Maybe Benghazi wouldn't have happened if they were firing on all cylinders... Or has everyone forgot about Eric Holders year long witch hunt of the CIA as soon as Obama took office? The whole reason they planned the debate during Monday Night Football is so people would tune it out! The media is pissed that the debates have helped out Romney. They can't filter out the truth to make Obama look good, and Obama has to answer for his record. The obvious answer? Schedule debate at a time where they can get as many people to tune it out as possible. Got to keep the people ignorant to the truth!!!! Has anyone seen my meds? Well, we knew that this jump was going to incorporate a bunch of new stuff, after all, NASA's systems are only certified to 100,000 feet... At the end of this month there is supposed to be a 2 hour documentary on making the jump on the discovery channel. Hopefully they show off all the cool new tech...

Obama administration puts EPA regs on hold.
jgoose71 replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
they are put on hold until aftert he election when Obama will have more flexibilty. :-) You are confused. That's the reason Romney and Ryan give for not revealing details of their secret tax plan. Tax plan isn't secret, I have heard it and want it. the left needs to open eyes and see. Really? So tell us which deductions will be eliminated. Tell us why Romney said he wouldn't release the details. He has already stated all corporate deductions are on the table, personal deductions, not so much. Ryan, in a speech had said that he wanted to put a frame work in front of congress. As he got bipartisan agreement on which exemptions go, and the tax rate would get adjusted accordingly. He doesn't want to start naming specific deductions right now because what goes in one end of congress doesn't necessarily come out the other.... Bipartisanship, a novel new concept... Plus, you know that if he started naming any green energy deductions right this second, just before the election, the democrats would start parading around the "dirty air and dirty water" adds again. We already saw them run adds saying "Big bird is the man behind wall street" after the first debate..... Speaking of budgets and taxes, What's Obama's? Is he gonna ever put forth anything that won't get laughed out of both houses? Or if he gets elected, are we gonna see 3 more years without a budget and trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Mussolini, Franco, and other icons of the far right, ran great administrations, of course. Also Mussolini and Franco were socialist, advocating for more government control, which I am pretty sure places them more on the democratic side of the isle.... Unless you are suggesting that the Tea Party is advocating for MORE government and less freedoms..... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying.
