Except that the 1% is in the White House and the DOJ. Eric Holder didn't even investigate the Black Panther Party when they were intimidating voters, and he won't do shit here. That's just the kind of racist piece of shit he is.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." True, but when you compare what he said to what Douglas said..... He is the more 'liberal' when it came to blacks. Then when you look at Grant and his signing of the 1871 Klan Act effectively killed the first iteration of the KKK. It is pretty easy to make the claim that the republicans were more supportive of blacks than the other political parties at the time. The second iteration of the KKK was started again by a book and play called 'The clansmen'. The writer, Thomas Dixon, Jr., said the purpose of his book was to "revolutionize northern sentiment by a presentation of history that would transform every man in my audience into a good Democrat!" So given this, it would also be safe to say that democrats at the time were not the party that supported black rights. Kind of goes along with what I read on "stolenhistory.com" http://stolenhistory.org/category/democratic-party-history/ "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. To me it just all goes along with the Saul Alinski Style politics that the democrats have brought to the nation. The ends justify the means. Anything for power. What I can't seem to get through my thick skull is why educated middle class and upper middle class folks support this ideology. They have little to no chance in sharing the power and yet they buy in. We find them all over the postings in SC. It just blows my mind. Where is their pay off? It's because they are true believers. They think that the government will ration out equality and fairness. Take form the rich and give to the poor. Do you remember Ernesto "Che" Guevara? He was a true believer. He followed Fidel Castro into all kinds of atrocities, killing women and children and such in the name of fairness and equality for all. But, when Castro was done with him he kicked him out and he was eventually shot dead in a barn in Columbia, if memory serves. He was a "useful idiot". If a person is willing to commit such horrific acts, what makes them trust worthy? It's a story that is worth being told again because it comparable with what is going on in politics today. Look at Obama's most negative campaign in recent history. And after he is in power, do you really think that it will be equality and fairness for all? Or do you think that some are more equal that others? They have been working hard over recent years to put controls in place (get people on food stamps, welfare, etc...) so that way they can continue to ration to the the people while they party it up. And like I said, if you want your rations to continue to come to you, you better vote for the right party.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. I like what Frantz Kebreau, the maker of the video had to say on his web page: To me it just all goes along with the Saul Alinski Style politics that the democrats have brought to the nation. The Democratic party is offering a hand out, not a hand up. As long as they can keep them uneducated and at home on food stamps and welfare, they will continue to vote democrat to keep it coming. It's the new slavery.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything

What he said ^^ ^^ ^^ The problem with prostitution comes from the fact that it is illegal. Legalizing allows for regulations and regular visits from law officials. Also, with a legal alternative, guys won't turn to crack whores on the street. Could help clean up drug problems also. Not to mention the revenues generated for the government through the new found "Pussy Tax".... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. He's got slogans all right. Have you seen his superpac adds? "Vote for me, not the guy who hasn't paid taxes for the last 10 years." "Vote for me, not the guy who wants to take away women's rights" "Vote for me, not he guy who murdered that guys wife by taking away her health care" Probably the most decisive, hate filled and negative campaign ever. I wonder if he will ever showcase any of his accomplishments? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." According some of the more prominent business people out there, minimum wage actually hurts jobs. Thing is, it has driven away entry level positions in a lot of businesses. Now they are called "internships" and they don't pay anything at all. So you have a choice, full pay or nothing with nothing in between. The option of working your way to the top, some say, has been taken away. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Well, at least Obama kept his promise to change politics and bring about a more civil way to do things...... He will be know forever as the great uniter...... It's called a slippery slope. When you start walking down that path, where do you draw the line? Some on the path (cough, OWS, cough, hack...) are content to walk all the way down it..... Make a silly claim in the UK during the Olympics and get in the paper. It's a non-story. I would tend to agree if it wasn't such a sign of the times. Ends justify the means.... Got it. So who draws the line at how much damage is acceptable? Do the liberals get to inflict more damage than the conservatives? Are you going to come up with a formula that says "so much injustice allows for so much damage to a persons property?" How far down this road to you want to go? Is it OK to blow up a building as long as no one is in it Bill Ayres? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Are you talking about this last line? In case you missed it, this was Streetscooby's problem earlier. The liberal tolerance to damaging property. It's not OK, no matter how you spin it. Keying your car can be easily fixed in a day, I guess it's not much of a crime-- it's a protest. Have fun with the rest of the OWS protesters smashing in Obama's campaign office in Oakland. Windows can be replaced in a day also. it's not much of a crime -- It's a protest. And the list of "Protests" go on and on and on...... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. It's the Olymipics people. It's about competition and national pride. Got a feeling Quidditch will be an Olympic sport before skydiving.... http://newsfeed.time.com/2012/07/16/watch-should-quidditch-be-an-olympic-sport/ "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Never said that gay unions didn't exist. All I am saying is that they never have, nor ever will have the same status as an marriage between a man and a woman because they can't have children. (Though they can now a days with help, but as I said earlier, that is a whole nother argument.) "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Same sex marriages date back thousands of years. If you are going to make a statement like that, please elaborate with references please to enlighten the rest of us.... While gay couples have been around and even well documented (especially during the roman empire) I do not know much about the history of gay marriage..... Start here. Dude, I thought you were going to show me something new. Yes, I already new that same sex unions have been around forever. However, they are not the same as marraige nor have they ever had the same status. Why you ask? It all comes down to legacy. If a ruler wants to have kids, he had to have sex with a woman... in her vagina.... plane and simple. If he didn't, his legacy died with him. No way around the family. Sorry. Lots of rulers then and now have wives for show, but only sleep with them to produce heirs, and then send them back to their sad lonely neglected existence, (See Ruler of Oman, today), but that marriage is more legitimate than all his boy toys. This is also the argument to protect the sanctity of marriage. Now today, we have sperm donors, egg donors, surrogate parents, and a bunch of other crap. My position has always been that same sex unions should not be called marriage. They need to be called something else so we can establish laws to protect the children of these unions. It has been well established that when the gay "parents" of the child break up, unless there was paperwork establishing what happens next, typically the government goes after the good Samaritan that agreed to help the couple out. It's not right. the couple wanted the kid, they should be responsible. The rules need to catch up with the times. And if you continue to try to call same sex unions "marriage" and apply all the same rules, you are going to fuck over a lot of children and good samaritans, while "Parents" walk away from there kids scott free. You kind of made my point. There were laws against. This is more of a legal over site that will soon be corrected. Just that a lot of people think that marriage, as it originally was conducted over the last several thousand years should be protected in the process.... It can be done. Yes, I do see a difference between closed minded, individual bigots and legal and legitimized actions by an entire country. Your point? Or are you suggesting that there actually was laws in the U.S. to quarantine and enslave the gays because of HIV? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Which, I'm pretty sure will happen as soon as the supreme court rules, and then it will be the law of the land. Problem solved. Here, have a puppy.... You know gays have had their rights stepped on, right? I guess I was asleep in school when the taught us about how gays were brought over in slave ships and how Lincoln freed the gays with the emancipation proclamation.... Why does it have to be "anti-gay-rights forces?" Why can't it be "Pro-Sanctity-of-Marriage forces?" You do realize there is a difference, right? You do realize that all of the "rights" that are being "oppressed" are all new benefits that have evolved with our society, specifically (insurance, etc...) over about the last 70 years, and can be given without calling it marriage? Like I said, the supreme court should be ruling really soon and all of this will be behind us. I strongly suspect that there will be equal rights for all, and then the left will stop comparing the lack of insurance to slavery..... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying.
