Dangling from the Skyvan bar, that is. Did my first exit like that in Eloy a week or so ago, and dislocated my shoulder while exiting the plane. I survived the landing without further damage, but will be out for a while with the shoulder. Just something to consider if you are trying this exit for the first time.

Can we ride with you?

The rich snobby people are horrible though because you know they have the money, but they will try to get something free everytime they come in. __________________________________________ This is so true. I used to work at a grocery store in a nice area, and they were regularly catching pink haired well-to-do old ladies jacking cosmetics. It was pretty funny watching the big burly off duty cops hustling the frail old ladies off to jail.

After taking the Brian Germain course, I started stowing my slider and loosening my chest strap, and it made a huge difference (Spectre 170 loaded at .97). I had been collapsing it before, but was not pulling it down over the risers. My canopy flies faster now and has much more flare power.

Container question....new container if switching from 150 to 170?
meltdown replied to Greaseball's topic in Gear and Rigging
I have a Spectre 170 in my J2. It's fairly tight but it fits ok. -
You can eat healthy at McDonalds, or unhealthy at Whole Foods. It just depends on what you order. As for the fries, they may last forever, but they get limp and disgusting in like 2 minutes.

Thanks for the quick answer Mr. President!!!!

Boy, talk about right wing conspiracies. You and Hillary ought to get together for coffee sometime. -
I absolutely agree with you. Particularly the part about ignoring data, which cannot be defended. What I am railing against are people who think that endless discussion is tantamount to making a decision. I used to work at a company where they had endless meetings and did everything by committee, and in the end, practically nothing got done, and when it finally did it was so watered down that it was practically useless. Kind of reminds me of the UN.

Shades of gray! Eeeek! Make it stop! How can you accomplish anything unless you have only allies and enemies, with no gray areas? What are you trying to do, make people think? People get resentful when you do that. __________________________________________________ Or we could think through every possible permutation of every issue, then analyze the results, then hire consultants, do it all again, micromanage every detail ad nauseum, create a task force, think until our little brains are numb, think some more, hire more consultants, do a poll, and wind up spending so much time on the thinking part that we missed our chance to do the doing part. And no, I'm not resentful. I don't mind thinking. At all. What I mind is this idea that endless debate solves problems. What it does is it keeps people from the difficult part, which is making a decision and following through. Debate is fine, then you make your decision based on the information you have, and move forward. I know I'm a conservative, and therefore I'm obviously an idiotic simpleton, but I've dealt with people of both types, and the successful ones are the ones who are willing to make a decision and accept the consequences.

Disaffected Americans look north to 'better government'
meltdown replied to PhillyKev's topic in Speakers Corner
Ummm, because he suggested that I be used as target practice. Try reading what I responded to. ______________________________________________ I think you just need to try harder to understand him, that's all. He might need a hug. -

Tell you what, instead of hateful, angry, violent, and threatening posts, try an overdose of valium. ________________________________________________ Ok, I've got to bite here. In another thread, you called me "disgusting" because I thought it funny that a rich guy unloads millions on a losing political cause. So then, what might one label you for suggesting someone kill himself with prescription drugs? -
who probably thinks there nothing his wealth can't buy him ----------------------------------------------------------Where does that come from? _____________________________________________ He obviously thought he could buy this election. Very few things don't have a price tag.
-
Do you see me taking glee in other people's failures? That's just disgusting. ___________________________________________ Call me disgusting then. You said yourself it's only a fraction of his total wealth. He's not hurt a bit (maybe a little embarrassed), and like Lawrocket said, he put loads of people to work. It's just funny to me to see some rich guy who probably thinks there nothing his wealth can't buy him, find the thing it won't buy, but still pay through the nose trying to buy it. Priceless.

Hey, worked for the Bush clan. _______________________________________________ Please elaborate.
-
Like I said, you guys get off on the strangest things... ___________________________________________ It's no stranger than a person who gets his jollys by starting a seemingly endless plethora of threads aimed at bashing a particular politician.

Isn't it usually you libs who are droning on endlessly about money in politics, blah blah blah, campaign finance reform ------------------------------------------------------- Not unless McCain suddenly changed parties _____________________________________________ I said libs, not Democrats.
-
Hey, it's a free country. Seeing some dumbass waste millions trying to put an automaton into political office is, well, funny!! Isn't it usually you libs who are droning on endlessly about money in politics, blah blah blah, campaign finance reform, blah blah blah, ad nauseum? Well, here's your poster boy - a super rich asshole trying to buy an election, who falls flat on his face. This is great in so many ways!!
-
You realize that was less than 0.2% of his net worth, right? Don't feel to bad for him. _______________________________________________ Who gives a shit how rich the dude is. He spent millions trying to buy an election, and he FAILED BIG TIME! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!

Why stop at Canada? All the way to France I say! -
Those gear bundles don't contain a cypres, do they? I would seriously consider adding a used cypres, or buying a used rig with a cypres. Although the all new route seems pretty enticing.

My pies were made with some sort of nasty spoiled milk product. It took a hosing off and 2 showers to get rid of the stench.
-
Just goes to show not even a super rich asshole like him can buy an election.

But that's not the issue *today*. Today it's about the unilateral policies of the US and a preemptive war on a country that posed no clear and present danger to the US at the time. ____________________________________________ Why do people continue to use phrases like "unilateral" or "go it alone"? If it were the US only, that would be unilateral. It's not the US only, therefore it's not unilateral. In fact, if so many European countries weren't suckling the oil for food nipple, we probably would have had more countries with us. And I don't know about you, but I remember a UN resolution that clearly stated that Iraq possessed WMD, and the best intelligence of the civilized world backed that up. Unfortunately, when the time came for the UN to walk the walk instead of just talk the talk, they showed what they are really made of - and it's pretty pathetic. And so we have the coalition of the willing. Which is far from "unilateral" I might add.
