  1. So those of us who suck ass should be in the "fun" category I suppose?
  2. It's easy to see how you and your 200+ jumps would know about this. ________________________________________________ Whatever dude. You are the one who started it. Your problem is, you keep reading things into posts that simply don't exist. Perhaps you should read the text, and respond to that. Even someone with 5 jumps can do that. Can you?
  3. not wipe mud off your ass.... ___________________________ Who the fuck said anything about wiping mud off of my ass? If some uppity packer won't stow the brakes, he sure as shit ought to tell the person that's PAYING for the pack job. This shit is dangerous enough without some ASSHOLE deciding to endanger someone elses life because he feels like teaching someone a lesson.
  4. After a jump I forgot to stow my brakes, The packer who packed it did not stow them to teach me a lesson. ________________________________________________ Teach you a lesson? Isn't stowing the brakes part of the pack job? Since when do packers decide what part of the pack job they will or won't do? If that happened to me, I'd be PISSED!
  5. Are ya gonna put the noodle things out again?? They would if you'd stop eating 'em.
  6. Since there are no more former slaves around, though, there's really no one to pay. ___________________________________________ Can't we just give it to Jesse Jackson?
  7. "eats twinkies for dinner" You say this like there's something wrong with it.
  8. I've got 267 jumps, most on a Spectre 170 loaded at about 1:1. Works for me!
  9. Yikes. No flare landings suck. I popped my left shoulder on a no wind day in Eloy and landed hard about 1/2 mile from the DZ. I must've bounced 10 feet, and I'm only loaded 1:1! Nice job getting the canopy out in that situation.
  10. There are several recent threads covering this very subject, but here's my story in a nutshell: I dislocated my left shoulder (1st time dislocation) exiting a Skyvan on Dec. 26th. I decided to try and rehab it rather than surgery. Went to 14 PT visits, and worked out regularly trying to build it back up. Bought a shoulder stabilizing brace, and started jumping again about 2-1/2 months after the injury. I started out slow (belly only, arms close to body), and worked back up to freeflying. My sitfly is now better than it ever was, and I've had no problems at all (knock on wood). I've got over 50 jumps on it so far, and I will continue to wear the brace into the forseeable future. Please note: THIS IS MY STORY ONLY, ANYTHING I SAY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU! Good luck with it.
  11. Can I get a free finger with that?
  12. No fuckin' way. Cheaters are pieces of shit _______________________________________________ Dude I'm with you. There is no possible way I could even enjoy it knowing I was wrecking my life from that moment on.
  13. But the best exit i have seen by far was hanging from the bar on the edge of the lowered door (assuming your skyvan has one) and trailing behind the plane and the just dropping away. Look very cool and although ive not done it is suppose to be very cool to do ________________________________________________ I thought this was cool too, until I dislocated my shoulder while doing it. Definitely seek out someone with experience before trying this.
  14. Hey I dislocated mine about 4 months ago (left shoulder), and I waited almost 3 months before jumping. Even now it's not quite 100%. I have 36 jumps on it since the injury (including about 20 sitfly jumps), and I have not had any problems so far. I am wearing a brace, but the one I've got also has an extra strap on it so I can restrict movement as much as I choose to. HOWEVER, mine took a serious trauma to dislocate the 1st time. If yours came out in freefall I'd be a little more suspicious of it. I would SERIOUSLY consider giving it more time to heal, especially since it's the right shoulder. Good luck with it, shoulder injuries definately suck!
  15. Houston isn't daring enough....go ahead and follow I-10 all the way through Beaumont - Vidor - Orange ..... Now that would be fun to watch. A pink volvo with gay pride stickers tooling around Vidor. Yikes.
  16. It's Retarted with a T. And no, we sucked. We used to play at Fitzgeralds all the time, and at the Vatican before that, and some other places whose names escape me.
  17. Psh, hang out in the Montrose area of Houston with those bumper stickers and no one will even notice you, you'll blend in so well... It's a very diverse place, Houston. _________________________________________________ Oh yeah, don't I know. My old band Retarted Elf used to play down there sometimes. Gets pretty rowdy in that area.
  18. You've got it all wrong. If they just stop and stay in Austin, they will be celebrated as heroes.
  19. Be aware also that a very light wing loading makes it difficult to get any penetration in windy conditions. I'm not saying go jump in high winds, but you could find yourself in a bad situation if the winds pickup and you find yourself flying backwards. If you are used to .5 WL, you will definately notice a difference at .9 or so. I'm still loading at about .97, and it's quick enough for me at 240 jumps. However, if the winds are about 18 mph, I get very little penetration into the wind.

    MRI?

I got an MRI on my shoulder. The hardest part was staying still. I got the open sided one. I'm not really claustrophobic but I figured since I had the choice... It'll tell you what's wrong with your shoulder. If there is rotator cuff damage it'll show up on there.
  21. I've got a Spectre and really like it. Both the Spectre and Triathlon are 7 cells, but I think the Tri is a square whereas the Spectre is tapered. Don't know about the Tri, but Spectres have really nice soft openings.
  22. So now it's no longer enough to distinguish by discipline (e.g. RW, freefly, CRW, accuracy, etc etc.), now we even have to bring faith into play for further divisiveness? The conservative, US-Christian fundamendalists are seriously bothering me (and most of the rest of the world). Not even skydiving is immune any longer: for the love of beer!!!! _________________________________________________ Damn, dude. Nobody's forcing you to read or post here. If you've got an axe to grind you should take it to speakers corner, not inject it into a thread that seeks to include people.
  23. I was going to try making one by your spec, but I figured it probably wouldn't fit right, so I ordered a Sully shoulder stabilizer. I looked at everything I could find on the internet, plus this one was recommended by my Dr. for sports use. Hope it works!
