We were on our way to altitude and at about 8,000 ft. the plane started kind of pitching up and down, felt like a roller coaster ride. The skydiver next to me got this big smile and said "0 G's". People started putting on their helmets, so I put mine on even though I had no idea what was going on. Glad I did cuz the next thing I knew I was floating off the bench onto the ceiling of the plane. We stayed there for a few seconds then floated back down. Everyone was whooping and cheering and someone said "that's the best 0 G's I've had". I said "that's the first 0 G's I've had", More whooping, cheering, yelling "beer". It was totally awesome. I wish all rides to altitude could be that much fun. I don't know if the pilot did it purposly or if it was due to winds or something, but whatever the reason, it was a hell of a lot of fun! Wondering who else has had this experience. In over 300 jumps this was the first time I experienced 0 G's in the plane. Totally screwed up my protrack though. Said I exited at 7,900 and deployed at 7,400 with 0 freefall . Just got back from 2 wonderful evenings of traffic school. What do -you- think? ltdiver Lori, Can you believe I've never gotten a ticket in my Vette. Just probably mostly luck, but I do watch constantly, look at everybody who gets on on ramps, who is behind you, ahead of you. But I think it is mostly luck. I've driven a Vette for the past 10 years. My uncle, who owned 4 Vettes and was president of the so cal vette club told me he always got his vette over 100 each time he drove it, cuz it's good for the car. So I try to follow my uncle's advice and get my Vette up to over 100 each time I drive it. 135 is the fasted I've gone cuz there were other cars around and I'm a wimp. I usually average 90 going to the DZ.

I will be there August 4th, it's a port of call on a 15 day Panama Canal cruise. From what I understand, the DZ is only 15 min. from town. I want to jump while I am there, but would like more info. I went to the web site and got some info, but would like more, and would like to meet people who jump there on dz.com before I get there. If anyone can give me info I would appreciate it. June 3 - 5. Unfortunalely I didn't attend the last one but heard it was AWESOME. Lots of great info for newbies, from gear to formations to everything in between. I will be attending all weekend and will have a hotel room 2 1/2 miles from the DZ. If anyone wants to attend and crash with me just let me know. Should be a great weekend. That's so cool!! My daughter did a tandem when I did my AFF Level 1. She got to sit in the co-pilots seat and I think she was more excited about that than seeing her mom jump. She loved her tandem and loved the tunnel time I gave her and my son for Mother's Day, but I think I'm still the only skydiver in the family
