Congrats!! So cool when your kids are tall enought to ride the good rides. I couldn't wait. I put my daughter in high tops with napkin padded heels and hair up on her head with a cap to give more height. Sometimes it worked. Glad you're having fun! I won't be competing, but would love to be involved. I've heard they are looking for volunteers to work and in exchange will give 5 jump tickets each day you work. Sounds good to me. Who has done this? What did you do? Was it fun? What were the hours? Did you get time off to jump? I'd love to do this but thought I'd check it out before I volunteer

I'l be at Perris Saturday. I usually jump with one of the LO's and we hang out in the packing area across from Square One. Stop by and say hi, and jump with us! Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I just got an e-mail from a friend today - she sent an e-mail cuz she couldn't deal with talking about it. She wanted to let all her friends know that her cancer had come back and was now in her lymph nodes. More surgery and chemo for her. She had just grown her hair from the last chemo. It totally sucks but she is handeling it well, I don't know how. Thoughts and prayers to my friend and anyone else in that situation. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller -

Yay Jef...Another thing we have in common

First jump was a tandem, was supposed to be a one time thing, but I got hooked, went throuhg AFF, etc. I wish I had discovered skydiving sooner than my 50th birthday, but better late than never

So it's not like the kind of bingo they play on cruise ships, which BTW I won $80 at

Thanks! I will really try to take your advice
-
Thanks for the advice. I finished up the cough suppresent the Dr. gave me and didn't think about getting more. I'll try that. And maybe I'll take your advice about not jumping until I'm well, but probably not, but thanks anyway . Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I agree with you. I think baseball and football and especially golf are extremely boring. I think skydiving, snowboarding and motor cross are not so boring.

Not too exciting - just Ev or Evie. But I have great initials - EFS (old skydiving term - eat, fuck, skydive). Have my initials embroidered on my rig. Sometimes people say to me "EFS, huh?" and I can either wink and say "yep", or act all innocent and say "yeah, that's my initials". Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

It was something I had always wanted to do for as long as I can remember, Whenever I was at high places I always had this urge to jump. I was one of these kids who made makeshift parachutes out of bedsheets and stuff and jumped out of trees. When I was in my early 20's we got a group together to go skydiving, got a group rate. Then people started to flake out and we didn't have enough people for the group rate, so decided to wait, and it never happened. Then when I turned 50 I decided to celebrate by doing the one thing I'd always wanted to do - skydive. Thought it would be a one time thing, but I got hooked. I regret not trying skydiving sooner. Yeah, I know it was dumb. I usually don't jump if I'm sick, but I hadn't jumped in 3 weeks due to vacation and I couldn't wait to get back in the sky. And I was almost over it, just a little bit congested. And I only did 5 jumps. And I took sudafed, which I always take when jumping even when I'm not sick (since I'm prone to sinus infections). But now I'm even more congested than I was yesterday before jumping. I started on Zithromax 9 days ago (you take it for 5 days but it's supposed to keep working for an additional 5 days). So just wondering if anyone else has had this experience and if you got well without more antibiotics or if you had to get another dose of antibiotics to clear it up. I have to be well by next weekend (so that I can jump again), Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Awww, sorry to hear that Jeanne. Well, keep a positive attitude and look forward to the fun. I hope to see you at Chicks Rock and the Eloy Holiday Boogie
-
Hi Jeanne, I've decided that all future vacations will be boogies. I'd love to see you again, so let me know what boogies you'll be attending. For sure, Chicks Rock! Ev Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Can you believe I was bored off my ass on a 15 day Panama Canal cruise? Half way through the cruise I was counting the days until I'd be home and could jump again. We got home from the cruise yesterday and I jumped today, now I'm happy

Well, my favorite part was supposed to be jumpin in Cabo . But since that didn't happen I guess my favorite part was all the great people we met and the food was pretty good. I was sick with bronchitis most of the cruise, but if I hadn't been sick it would have been a lot more fun. Before I got sick kayaking and snorkeling in Cozumel was pretty cool. Yeah Laurel, I can't beleive we never hooked up, but that was a huge ship. I think our next cruise will be Alaska. Hope you and William are doing well. I love reading about William's progress. You are such an aewsome person. I would love to meet you and William some day

I tried to have fun, but came down with bronchitis the 6th day, am finally feeling better today, the last day. And what I was really looking forward to was skydiving in Cabo, and they cancelled docking in Cabo so I was really bummed out about that so between being sick and not being able to jump in Cabo I haven't been real excited about the cruise. Just waiting to get home so I can jump again
