I think if it was given to you as a gift then you have no obligation to give it back. If you don't use it anymore or don't need it then give it back just to maintain friendship...but then why would you want to remain friends with someone like that? So sorry to hear about your loss. It really sucks when it hits close to home. Last year we had 3 friends die, two of cancer, one of a heart attack. All our age. One was kind of expected, but the other two were not. Since I am a skydiver and my husband is not, people sometimes ask him if he is worried about his wife engaging in a dangerous sport and he tells them "yes, of course I'm worried, but it's what she loves and if she dies doing it at least I'll know she died doing what she loved". We've already decided that when we die we will be cremated and our ashes mixed together and distributed on an ash dive over a golf course. With a huge wake to follow (yes, we are irish too). Thoughts and prayers for Andrea. She will probably suffer more from the drive home than the broken wrists (this coming from a mom who taught two kids to drive - very nervewracking). Hopefully she is on good drugs , Snowboarding was my favorite sport until I discovered skydiving, and while I never broke anything I had some major bruises. I get much less beat up with skydiving. I drive a Corvette so have to use the premium gas. Last time I filled it cost me over 40$. These gas prices suck. I usaually take my husband's Jeep to the DZ to save milage on my Vette. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Jeanne, I'm gonna come visit you, but have to get the dates. My husband is gonna go golfing with his buddies and I'm gonna come, but stay with friends who won't be golfing, and the friend who I am staying with is a fellow skydiver, at least he used to be when he was is the service, he did demo jumps. Sorry to hear about your job. Have you looked into student grants? When my son was in college (he just graduated) he was able to find a lot of grants to supplement his income while in college. Good Luck! Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I had the same kind of day. Something went wrong and although it had nothing to do with my job I was expected to fix it. I had pretty much had it and told the person politely to FO. Now I'm home and having a glass of wine. Suggest you do the same. And hopefully tomorrow will be better for both of us

If you don't want to wear glasses you could get contacts. I wear one contact for close up and one for distance and it works great, except for driving at night, so I just wear my glasses then. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I learned how to take out the cables on my rig and clean them and put them back together (thanks to Gia and Frenchy). Also learned that I should listen to my friends rather than my conscious when my friends say come party with us instead of having dinner with your parents . Think I would have have way more fun with my friends

LOL. I normally don't pack myself but decided I'd pack for myself since my reserve was due for a repack, but then didn't get to do it due to weather. So I'll try the packing thing when my reserve comes due for a repack in June. In the meantime I'd love to jump with you sometime, but I'm mostly RW, just learning to FF. Great story! I know a guy who is an instructor and jumps on a regular basis with a quadraparaligic(sp). They do all kinds of stuff, including formation skydives. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller
