Get whatever you feel comfortable with. Screw what other people think. My daughter had to have a truck cuz she thought it was cool. We offered her my 73 mustang, but no, that was an old car and she didn't want it. So we bought her a geo prism, which she promptly totalled, then we bought her an Explorer because we wanted her in something bigger, she got the bug for a truck so we sold the Explorer and bought her the truck she wanted. She thought it was a good idea at the time but now regrets it, only two people can ride in it, the back has drop down seats, but you've gotta be like 100 lbs. to fit in them. We bought her 3 cars and told her she has to buy the next one herself, so though she'd like another vehicle, she can't afford it. So what I'm saying is think it through and get what you want for the reasons you want it and not just cuz it seems cool at the time, cuz you could get stuck with something you may not want in the future. This may not be quite what you were talking about but thought it was a good time to say it. It really helps to have a current avatar pic if you're going to a boogie. I used to have a pic of my license plate (ev (heart)2 jump) but someone suggested I put a current pic of myself so that people would recognize me at the boogie. And I did, and it worked. Don't mean to hi jack this thread, but I just wanted to say hi, cuz I know that you are one of the people Jeanne/Gia was DDing on our Vegas trip. They said you are a really nice guy. I was feeling left out that I didn't know you and couldn't DD you. So I'm introducing myself

Our Vegas weekend rocked! I had so much fun despite missing Rosa, Darcy and Amy, and not getting to jump at Mesquite. I was really looking forward to the speed jump Jeanne was gonna take me on. Being a floaty butt that's the only way I'll ever get to experience the thrill of freefall at 200 mph. Jeanne and Gia did their best to corrupt sweet, innocent 'lil 'ol me, and while they didn't completely succeed, it was a good start. Think if I'd refilled my Thunder from Down Under refillable glass one more time I'd have gropped the Aussie hottie I was drooling over all evening when he came by our table. I did feel a little left out during the DD sessions at the end of each evening. While Jeanne and Gia were scanning their phones for people to DD all I could come up with were numbers for my husband, daughter, son and parents, so (thank God) I didn't participate. Damn, I've gotta get on the DD list. Jeanne and Gia were having way too much fun. We've gotta plan another trip. Anyone else win a free trip and need roomies? I really need to do this again. The corruption process has started, but I think it's gonna take a few more trips...and I've gotta stay current! I dream about skydiving a lot, maybe because that's what I'm usually thinking about when I'm laying in bed before I go to sleep. Sometimes I get distracted and forget to pull, but I always have good landings whether my chute is open or not. And I don't always jump from planes, sometimes it's buildings and things. Sometimes I'll be in the middle of a dream and just start flying around like I was in the wind tunnel. Dreams are so much more fun now that I skydive

Hey Michelle, Where do you go for Margarita Monday's? My daughter goes some place in Burbank, then continues on to Dimples for karokee. She's always asking me to join her, but I haven't yet. Not until July/Aug. but we had to book it now to get a special rate. Anyone else taken this cruise? It's 15 days with ports in Cozumel, Grand Caymen, Cartagena, Columbia, Costa Rica, Acapulco, Cabo. I'm gonna jump at Cabo cuz they have a DZ right off the port. I'd like to jump at other places and am looking into it. Any suggestions? Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I'm looking forward to becomming a better skydiver. The 15 day cruise we're taking in July/Aug. and looking forward to jumping in Cabo while whe're there. Hanging out with friends - Vegas Baby Vegas! Yeah, Perris is the same way, at least I think so since Perris is my home DZ. Some people think Elsinore is friendlier being a smaller DZ, but I jump at both DZ's and I think they are both very friendly. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I'm going to be in Cabo but not until August 4th. It's a stop on a 15 day Panama Canal cruise. But I will be there from 6 am to 2 pm, so figure that gives me enough time to get off the ship, get to the DZ and do at least one jump, probably only one cuz my husband will probably want to spend some time sightseeing, although we've been there before, but last time we were there I don't think there was a DZ.
