That explains why you were so articulate in making that hand gesture when I video'd your 4 way. BWAH!

I've had that choice forced on me several times now, most recently this September. In the past I always took whatever path led towards money and security. I'm fully committed to the skydiving thing now, and voice-acting. Maybe even commercial acting, if anybody needs a middle aged X gamer. This time I'm going to have fun.

Yes, Monouno, but that is you. My idea of multitasking is holdiing the steak still with the fork while cutting it with the knife.

Well, gee. You always return my PM's. Thanks for making me feel so special! What kind of whisky you got in that jelly jar?

At SDA, just park, let the car quiet down, and listen. That's Mouth. Tell her Deuce said hi.

I fly Spectres loaded at about 1.7. No problems at all. Some advice that I got, and have heeded is to have all my equipment match. So I have two Spectre 150's and PDR143's in both of them. This way I only need one set of reactions, which is good for my feeble mind. When I was jumping both the Spectre 170 and the 150 I crashed myself REAL good doing a 170 approach to final under the 150. BLAM! That bit of unsolicited advice done with, yes the Spectre is fine for Birdman.

Yep. This is a good place. You might check with manifest at Spaceland to ask about hiring somebody. Rdutch is a hardcore RW video flier out of Florida, he might be able to make some recommendations. I'm in California, so no help from me. JP

What's not to like? His wife seemes altogether daft for hitching up with him, but other than that, I don't recall him farting in my general direction on the plane. I hate full faced helmets, though.

Is that some wierd kind of French-Canadian Ebonics or something? Jessica, yeah, I can tell when its going to rain, too.
-
Oh, yeah! "Capitulate, suspect, or I shall proceed to crush you!"
-
It's real. Been there, seen a very similar case where a guy fell out of a tree onto a wrought iron fence.

Jari, reading the article is sounds like they are actually trying to get you for "failure to yield" when you pulled away. For "running from the police". A good traffic attorney is what you need. With the deliberate loss of the video tape, it seems likely that the whole thing will get dismissed. Don't skimp on the attorney! If the cops hang this on you, even if you don't get jail time (the 15 years thing is the maximum penalty, not the typical one) it'll cost more than the attorney's fees just in the increase in your auto insurance premium. Shitty deal. JP

-SHUDDER!- I learned cop car driving in diplomats. Ugh. Then we got the boxcar Willy Caprices. My crash ratio was much higher with Crown Victorias.

Dude, is that Afrikaans, or Klingon? Send me some Giraffe jerky, OK?
-
Well I'd agree, but a cop car can't be a Pony car, be it a Camaro or a Mustang. Gotta be able to carry all the guns, gear and prisoners to qualify. Otherwise it's a pursuit car. Yeah the ponies are faster, and handle better, but the Cop cars were so much fun.

ANd the issue is?.....

That's wonderful. Roll around in it until the smell gets in your fur. Look at the smiles, and kiss appropriately.

No doubt. As I've told anybody who'd listen, the best cop car EVER MADE was the94 Chevy Caprice. I may be wrong about the exact year, but that was the year they gave us a Jane version of the Impala SS. Vette drivetrain. Oh God, that car was sex on wheels. 140 easy, great brakes, very little body roll, easy to break loose in turns in a very controlled manner. (grin) I blew up a lot of cars, which probably factored into why they retired me when they could have waited. Skydivings gain....
-
Dude, that's just completely wrong. At 150 the cat is going to jump out and get killed. Shame on you.
-
You know how those camera guys are....always doing something "different"... FFF I think I'm like 21 in that picture. Legs out of the car, even while driving, wouldn't even have blipped the danger radar for me then. Every time I skydive I am grateful I didn't start until I was in my late 30's.
-
It wasn't a steadicam, it was just this support gizmo that had a cord that lifted the top of the camera to reduce the weight on the camera guys shoulder and arm. It retracted like a seatbelt and just made it easier to handle that thing. The show is "Extreme Travel Gear" and the first episode is about Birdman flying and will air in July. After us they went up to Davis to do a show on Team Jank. The producer actually had a pretty good grasp on the generalities of skydiving, and if the tone survives the editing process, the episodes should be good for the sport.

Wow. You're like the Xaviera Hollander of the internet. Sangiro should have titled you "mattress"
