  1. Sorry folks. McAfee, updated. Running windows Xp on a sony Vaio.
  2. Well. I don't get it. Been committed for about 20 years. Share the sausage and whatever else might be valuable to her in exchange for "milk" and her time, love, and consideration. She also bore me my children. She also bore my children. She also bore my children. I have a family. She owns the sausage. I own the cow. We own the family.
  3. BikerBabe is hardcore. Like me. I jumped with sprained knees (two do to stupid downsize maneuvers) and broken ankle (issues with Perris's "first down sets the pattern") and I started jumping before I was "healthy" Whatever. When I was in sports it was called "commitment" and when I was a cop it was called "duty". Mostly it is selfish. I wanted to get back to doing something I loved. Something I did well. You're 40 Chris. Like me. Make your decision and stick with it. Decisions should be nothing new. JP

Here. You know you want to use this one. And Deuce avatars are absolutely the coolest, bar none. You're doing that cool guy thing, huh? I remember that. It's easier to be old and rude. Next time try: "Hey Deuce, my monkey brother, I bought the God*mn picture aready, how 'bout kicking me down the full res digital copy" No problemo, Gimpster. PM me an address that can handle big, super cool files.
  6. My c:\ie46bin.exe\IE468IN.EXE is corrupted. How do I exchange it for a clean version? You guys are much faster than any tech help I might seek. Thanks. JP
  7. I just finished editing the first of Greg's tapes for the DZ.com Holiday Boogie video. There are two jumps that just totally have me in awe. The first one is an over-under with an RW 5-way! Everything in frame, perfectly constant movement and distance from the skydive. Amazing flying and framing. The second is a tracking dive where he gets out late and then gets out in front and below this huge tracking flock. Great footage. Very humbling to drop it into the timeline next to my stuff.
  8. Rats. I was hoping there was some economical solution. Who's the cheapest re or e-tailer? My 2200's inks are about $11 a pop at Staples.
  9. How do you say my name again in Afrikaans?
  10. We cover this one a lot here. Try doing a search of the site using the keywords in your subject line. I think a diamond .5 is the best overall wideangle lens, and am rethinking the whole thing since finding out that Greg Gasson doesn't use one at all.
  11. A nice renewable toy, is a box with dried beans or something other than sand to play with. The kids that age just love to scoop and measure and move stuff around. Some stuff to pour the beans into that moves is good, too. Another very inexpensive fun is boxes. Just turn them loose with some moving boxes and watch them turn them into Camelot, or tanks, or kitchens or boats. Call around to your local moving companies and you'll be able to get some donated.
  12. Thank you Paul. I'm going to start a new thread on shopping photos around. I've had stuff accepted by Skydiving magazine, and just sent some photos to Parachutist, but I think many of us newer folks would like feedback on the submittal process in general. Thanks again!
  13. http://www.herculesboogie.com/ Tried that yet?
  14. Omar made him manifest as "Palestino"
  15. Nice, Katie! "GET IN MY BELLY!"
  16. Nah. That's the Byron airport, about 20 minutes from where I live. JP BayAreaSkydiving.com
  17. That would be Mike McGowan. -and the smacketh was layethd down...
  18. No. There have been a series of Boogie videos with delivery problems. I want to do Boogie Video production, and I want to do it with the maximum of customer satisfaction. Right now, the only folks out money are me and Skydive Arizona (AKA Betsy). I will keep it that way until I have something other than a promise to exchange for anybodies money. It'll rock, my gimpy monkey brother. And when it is ready to go, there will be plenty to mail out.
  19. I was very excited about that lens, but it got very, very poor reviews. The 15 fisheye by Sigma is a great value, and with the clipping that occurs due to the 1.6 mag factor, it really doesn't distort very much. I suggest sticking with fixed lenses. I do use the 28-200 on the ground and even in the air occasionally, but fixed is better.
  20. You knucklehead. I finally get through the 1000+ photos and you're nagging about the DVD. I'm laying down clips right now, and Gasson is mailing me another tape of the end of the boogie. I''ll have a rough edit by Sunday, and I'm meeting with a Premiere friend Monday to put in titles and transitions if I want them. Then music, then to DVD and out for copies. It'll be shipping by the end of the month. Each one of the tapes you see is full, and I've got a couple more coming. You'll be watching it in February for sure. Once I cover my costs, all profit goes to DZ.com, which made the whole thing possible.
  21. Oh, no fooling, Bonnie! Climbs at 2000 fpm now! No, this one doesn't go to 11. It goes to 14! Hah!
  22. http://www.shutterfly.com/pro/JPKelly/Skydive/20040109 Connie even manages a contrail exiting the pond. See at Byron, we take the pond seriously. It's a REAL pond, with water skeeters, frogs, and mosquitos. Occasionally it attracts pond scum, but not this last weekend.
  23. There are round holes in the SkyVan door that you can hold on to with one foot either out on the step, or back on the brace. This gets you completely out of the way of the folks throwing the raft. Exit right on top of the first person out. Wear your camera wings. When the raft works, it's pretty slow.
