The buckling is from deflection on the tailing edge, caused by brake lines that are too short. It was said earlier in the thread, and is accurate. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Recovery Arcs on intermediate canopies.

I would suggest you tone your posts down, and remove the chip from your shoulder. 1) Not everyone is 'out to get you' 2) You're borderline trolling at this point - if you keep trying to inflame other posters, I'll let you cool your jets out of this forum for a while. Recovery Arcs on intermediate canopies.

Disappointing, but typical, response. My guess is, based on past experience dealing with attitudes like this, is that the posters are spot on with their assessment. Note: This is not a comment supporting, or condemning the canopy choice, but rather that attitude that is displayed by the OP. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team -
I put 20 jumps, in 3 days, on a Sabre2 150 2 weeks ago. Every single opening was super soft, with no more than a 45 degree heading shift on about 3 of the openings. Rest were dead on heading. I agree that you should demo, because it's important that you make a choice you'll be happy with. I doubt you won't be though. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

General Hook turn Alititude?

I hope you are kidding. I hope you are not trying to advise people to follow your formula. You should push yourself up higher. 300 feet is far too low. It may seem hard to do at first, but it's the right thing to do. A few years back I showed up at Perris Valley to do my first swoop coaching using a Crossfire2 119 with Jim Slaton and I was turning kind of low like you (around 400 feet for me on the xFire2). He pushed me up 200 feet after scolding me in a good way, like any good coach can do. 300 feet is too low. Seemed pretty obvious the formula was a joke. I thought it was funny -
Rushing to catch flights for the most of us. Wonder who forgot their rig! Nice getting to see new faces, look forward to flying with you all again soon. Performance Designs Factory Team

The first one since it matches Wuzi's description. The 2nd one is definitely not right -

Yep - still 10 points. Performance Designs Factory Team

Close but not quite. They essentially did what should have been done in the first place, and that's increase gate 4's score, and decrease gate 2's score. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

I hope they fixed the speed scoring, I know they had it on the agenda but I see no mention of it.....hopefully just an omission since it was unanimously approved by the competitors. Performance Designs Factory Team

Yeah - when Nationals run, it'll be under the latest set of rules. Whatever they may be. Performance Designs Factory Team

Yes. The IPC just voted in 2 changes that I know about. 1 relating to speed, and the other to ZA. I'm sure details will be forthcoming soon. Performance Designs Factory Team

Call and ask for Donna Wagner, at the very least she'll put you in touch with the right person. I know Robin Miller used to handle the reline stuff, but she very recently moved to Europe (I believe). Hope this helps, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

I disagree. I've left a DZ that had a King Air because the pilot would keep climbing and not throttle back. I would have to ball up on exit and even then would come much closer than I'd like to the tail. I'm pretty damn sure if I had done a regular exit (not jumping up) I'd have hit the tail. There's some pretty OLD information on that site :) Mike, not sure on USPA or potential Nationals changes. As the rules stand, the top 8 from 09's Nationals will be eligible. However, if this years Nationals were to be moved and be completed (30 days I think??) prior to the date of the WPC, then the 2010 top 8 would be eligible. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Jumptown was my home DZ for a few years, and Gary was an instrumental part of it. I'm truly saddened by the loss. Gary, I still think of 'freefly crickets' whenever you pop into my head. So long, and thanks for all the fish. RIP. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Utter rubbish. This is VERY VERY accurate, and critical to High Performance success. Agree with you 100% here. Disagree. Just cause you can stand up, doesn't mean you're ready to downsize. Again, disagree. To the OP: Get GOOD coaching. Period. Take it slow and be thorough with each step. It's not a race, and you'll always be your own worst enemy.
