  1. Yeah, I have no excuses for the end of that video. I made a bad judgment call - pushed a situation that wasn't ideal (my line was off) - and am lucky it didn't end badly. We don't often get chances to learn from those kinds of errors - I don't plan on ever repeating that
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJGg8T8MymQ Enjoy. Just some stuff we did this year (flocks, etc). No competition footage. And no, the last clip was NOT intentional. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. To be fair, he's never really been able to do it well in the first place
  4. Agreed. Excessive hunting is going to increase your chance of linetwists. The canopy is extremely hard to steer when the slider is stuck up at the top. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  5. Agreed, except I'd give them a call. Ask for Robin Miller, I know she'll be happy to help and point you in the right direction
  6. That opening seemed unusually long (on the velo). Do you have a stock slider? Here's my comp velo openings for comparision. The first one is a 71, the 2nd is a 79 (my 84 and 90 open the same as the 79) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwfTnCybrSo Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  7. Possible that I misinterpreted Kevins post, if so my bad. Onto the protection program - I'm still undecided. Regardless of how I feel about it personally, we didn't feel any impact, at all. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  8. Maybe they just have limited ambulance parking ? Wow, I'm staggered by the ignorance in this post. Guess we should stop doing crew too then? I know of at least 1 competitor who needed an ambulance on the crew side.....? sheesh. You'd think, out of all the disciplines out there, that the accuracy, crew, and canopy pilots (aka swoopers) would all appreciate the love, and challenge, of flying a canopy - regardless of the choice of discipline. 9. Yeah, definitely one of the more challenging comps - from the conditions, to the start and stop thanks to the weather. Lots of zero's by the top of the field on today's 2nd distance round so the pack will get leveled (for the most part) all over again. Will make for a tight, exciting comp. See you out there at 7am. 10. http://www.uspanationals.com/results/USPA%20CP-Canopy%20Piloting%20Open-TotalResults-0001.html - OPEN results so far http://www.uspanationals.com/results/USPA%20CP-Canopy%20Piloting%20Advanced-TotalResults-0001.html - ADVANCED results so far Performance Designs Factory Team
  11. So far, after 1 round of distance, 1 round of ZA completed (and 1/3 of the 2nd one done). 1) Hans Paulsen 2) Brian McNenny 3) Jessica Edgington These are UNOFFICIAL results as there as some disputes being resolved. We're on a hold, again, and will hopefully be picking up again this afternoon. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  12. I removed a bunch of stuff that was speculative and inflammatory - please keep this to swooping. If you want to discuss Lodi in another fashion please do it in Places To Jump, or Safety if appropriate. Thanks, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. So it takes you 2985ft to open and stow your slider? It takes me about 1000 feet to stow my RDS when I'm under the 79 Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. Absolutely not. Freedom of speech baby :) Didn't Larry Flint already win this one? Performance Designs Factory Team
  15. I love Onion news!!! It's hilarious. So far my favorite is their outsourcing one, and the Sony "shit" one,, although I hear the Ninja Parade is pretty good too. Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. Danny, We got to take Kaiya Page Drennan to your memorial plaque last week. I hope you enjoyed meeting her. Miss you my friend. BSBD. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  17. Our doctor put our girl in a negative percentile you heard me "negative" I tried to ask what the hell that meant and if he knew any math at that point Wow. I have to ask, how tiny was she?? Performance Designs Factory Team
  18. http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-politics/20091012/US.Stimulus.Jobs/ Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. Totally ridiculous. Kaiya is in the 25 percentile and healthy. A friend of ours kid was so small she was in the 0 percentile. She's super healthy, and is still in the lower percentiles (she's a tiny kid) It's not unreasonable to expect someone on the 'other side' of the percentile to be the same. Percentiles, in infants, are totally ridiculous things to base insurance off of. Statistically kids even out by 2 years or so. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  20. Please stop crossposting in multiple forums. Pick a thread, and stick to it. Performance Designs Factory Team
  21. That sums it up. IMO this is something that anyone, regardless of political affiliation, can embrace. We can debate "how" to not fail, but we should never, ever, cheer when we do. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. So party first, country second. Thanks - got it. Performance Designs Factory Team
  23. I suggest reading this one too then - it has NOTHING to do with the Peace Prize (although some peoples reaction was used as an example). Look past your bias, and recognize what Darius is actually asking. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  24. Wow - amazing how many are so blinded by hatred that they miss the point of the question entirely - who cares who the current administration is (Bush, Obama, Regan, or otherwise) Darius, I'm proud of this countries successes, and I share sadness for our failures too. Republican, Democrat, Independent, whatever, I don't care. We should all be proud of our successes, and strive to overcome our failures. Ironic, I wasn't even born here (but am a citizen) - I worked hard to become one too, and it's not something I take lightly. I wish some of my 'countrymen' shared that. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  25. You offering to come over and show me how Thanks to all for the b-day wishes
