  1. Blevins, The piece of paper you posted in NOT a flight plan. This same piece of paper was discussed to death on this thread about a year or so ago. At best, they are some notations made by the flight navigator (and/or the dispatcher) on the weather expected enroute, an estimate of the flight's progress, and a notation of the crew members names including the cabin crew. It is something the navigator and/or dispatcher would use in pre-flight planning. A flight plan is a "formal" document that the flight crew and dispatcher would file with the FAA and would include such things as navigational facilities used, reporting points, altitudes requested, flight times, etc., etc.. During the actual flight, the flight navigator would use a flight log form to keep track of the aircraft's position and a number of other things that relate to navigation. But again, that is NOT a flight plan! Robert99 We covered this before - ad nauseum, as you point out. The only thing NEW - is the realisation that the only thing that matters to Mr. Blevins is 'the sounds of his own voice'. He will continue to post and use the same tired old crap until the last drop of blood has been drained from Dropzone (or anywhere else); until at length only Jo Weber, Blevins, and 377, and a few onlookers are here ... still posting the same old crap until their computers wear out or their electricity is cut off ... or they die ... long after everyone else is gone. That is just a fact. These people have a personal agenda which transcends everyone and everything else. The only thing that matters is: are these people being entertained. If they are then everything is right with the world, as they define and control it. Georger is right again (with the exception of the reference to 377). Blevins and Jo Weber's constant repeating of the same nonsense is moving the entropy meter on this thread to very near 100%. And that means the possibility of doing something worthwhile here on the Cooper hijacking is rapidly approaching zero. Robert99

  3. That's what we thought, too...his bank balances, income from the airline, etc didn't come close to jiving with what he was spending after the hijacking. As far as whether he had another form of income going, there is nothing to show on that. Not only do the records show this, but testimony from his closest friends, and his own letters home to Minnesota say the same thing. If he was really doing well, he wouldn't have been digging ditches for Geestman up in Bonney Lake the year before the hijacking.
  4. Excuse me YOU have NO knowledge of this. I have ACTUAL TAX REPORT all the way back to 1968 on Weber and his former SPOUSE. Duane was a keeper of THINGS - HE was PROUD of his accomplishment. The total income produced is off set by expenses and when one is self employed or commissioned no SS is taken out of the check. TAKE that to the BANK! I would love to use a different teminology, but I want to stay in the thread until "others" decide just how to handle things. Jo, It is surprising that Blevins is not better informed on this type of matter. Who does the tax returns for his book company and cleaning service? If not Blevins himself, then he should at least know what his tax preparers are reporting. Robert99
  5. The viewer will never learn from the movie who is actually Cooper. This movie will just be some additional white noise. But it will probably take some money from the gullible. Robert99
  6. Wrong! WRONG! WRONG! YOU just do NOT comprehend this AT all NOT AT ALL. Go to your local insurance sales man and ask him he gets paid and how much of his income has SS paid no it. Then ask him how much he paided in Federal taxes on is income. Taxes and SS are treated differently - last lesson you get - go get yourself a real job on commisions for a yr and then show us you tax report . Jo, This may come as a shock to you, but I completely agree with you. YOU ARE RIGHT! Blevins should take a look at the instructions for the standard 1040 tax return form. The easy file stuff doesn't count here. There are all kinds of income that is not reported on W-2s (now generally replaced by form 1099) and on which Social Security tax is not paid. This income does not provide any Social Security benefits. But income taxes are calculated by the IRS on all income that is taxable (see your tax professional for an explanation of that one). In the years where Duane reported (or didn't report) zero income, perhaps he had his taxes prepared by one of the famous Hollywood Motion Picture tax experts. Those people are legends for preparing returns where a movie that made five billion dollars in profits actually lost money for tax purposes. If all of the above fails, expense accounts are a really GREAT way to go. You can trust me on that. Robert99
  7. There seems to be some lack of knowledge among several "prominent Cooper researchers" (by that, I mean Blevins, Jo Weber, Sailshaw, etc.) about how real research is done in the real world. First, it is not a good idea to give your conclusions before you have done your research. Second, look at all the "facts" (check your dictionary for the meaning) before drawing conclusions. Third, don't write books about your "conclusions" before you have valid data supporting those conclusions. Fourth, don't agree to appear on national television as an "expert" on some subject until you have at least some idea of what you are talking about. Marla, please note. Finally, when valid facts emerge that prove you have been talking through your hat, it is an excerise in futility to keep repeating your BS with the hope that someone is dumb enough to give you the benefit of a doubt. I'm sure that there are other qualified people on this thread who can add to the above. Robert99
  8. Blevins, I do specifically recall having made some comments over the years about D.B. Cooper. But no comments about "the suspect", whatever you mean by that. You and Jo Weber apparently have zero retention about matters that don't support you candidates. On the matter of Tom Kaye. I will defer to Tom Kaye and Georger on anything that involves a microscope or telescope. Otherwise, I will accept at face value anything Tom and Georger do until I have reasons not to. However, I will not defer to Tom Kaye, Georger, Farflung, RobertMBlevins, or anyone else, on matters related to aircraft performance and flight dynamics. And for the record, I am not aware of any disagreements between Tom, Georger, and myself on anything of substance. Robert99
  9. Jo, I don't HATE you, but I do think you are NUTS (sorry JC). Blevins is an easy study. But you are different. The REAL mystery of the Cooper thread is Jo Weber. Despite your protests to the contrary, you are here for some reason and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with finding the "truth" about Duane Weber. Level with us Jo, what are you doing here? There has got to be something in it for you and it sure isn't Duane. Robert99
  10. Blevins, The above also applies to you. What are you doing here? You even admit that you don't know if your "suspect" is what you have claimed he is in books, internet articles, and your famous posts here on DZ.com. As far as I can see, you haven't done anything to advance the search for Cooper. Your initial posts on this thread appeared to be solely to sell your book. And don't forget that you said about five times that you were leaving the thread. Nevertheless, in all but one case you were back the very next day and in two or three days in the other case. Were you just looking for love? Sending the FBI and media a pile of rehashed baloney can best be viewed as a lame attempt to establish yourself as "a prominent Cooper researcher", a label you apparently covet. Laugh on. Georger has got your number. Robert99
  11. NOT over BLOWN at all! All of you guys who make claims the FBI should do this or that - needs to ACTUALLY talk to the FBI! I am more calm than I have been in a LONG LONG time, because I know more than those who toot their horn in the thread. Especially U Robert99! Especially U. Pick UP the DAMN PHONE! Present ALL of the subjects you wish - just be sure you have one of the 20's or some other evidence that WILL PUT your subject on the PLANE! Jo, If you bothered reading this thread, you would know that I don't think any viable suspect has been named here. In fact, I doubt very much if anyone has the slightest idea who Cooper was. And that includes you, Blevins, Sailshaw, Marla, and everyone else. Robert99
  12. An excellent illustrationof the above happened just yesterday in CA in the matter of LILO. She wanted a NY lawyer, with no CA connections, to represent her in her ongoing saga. The NY lawyer needed to work under the supervision of a CA lawyer. So he joined forces with a CA lawyer that he apparently knew who had not been active for the last 17 years. The lapsed CA lawyer got her license reactivated, the judge approved the arrangement, and the trial will go on. Robert99
  13. Excellent! Maybe Felix didn't jump at all and just slid down the giraffe's neck and back.
  14. Jo, Your pronouncements about the case being closed and what the FBI is going to do and not going to do are a bit overblown. Just come back down to earth and calm down since you actually don't have the slightest idea of what is going on. Robert99
  15. I will explain this ONE last time: Duane and I were watching a program on TV. This program showed the 727 or a forerunner being jump and Duane made a unforgettable comment. His specfic words are lost to me now. He did talk about JM Wave to me and that they used the 727's or another plane that could be jumped in this way. I now forget exactly what he said. I have had a really bad day - health wise. At another time earlier in our marriage on a trip to FL. he talked about the 2 planes that JMWave used. He even showed me the building JMWave housed their operation out of. I just thought it was history, but he used the word WE in this discussion. Right now I do not even remember the location, but it was the same trip he made the stop at that night club where he disappeared for a while and knew the owner - asking for him by name. I was NOT introduced to the man. You will need to find some of my earlier posts about this. The medication has me all messed up right now. Jo, Check out the information on Wikipedia about JM Wave. It was set up in the early 1960s to support operations related to Cuba. And it got outed in the mid-1960s and was closed about 1968. It is unlikely, in my humble opinion, that 727s would be overflying Cuba to drop equipment. Other aircraft would be more suitable for doing something like that, if indeed aircraft were necessary at all. For putting personnel ashore, a small boat would easily get the job done. Just keep in mind that Cuba is a relatively small island and not SE Asia. I believe you have stated that you married Duane in the late 1970s long after JM Wave was closed and had considerable media attention. Maybe Duane just read the newspapers. Robert99
  16. Tosaw's book has the story, straight from Tina, starting on page 32, of how Cooper checked the packing card, checked the ripcord pins on the back, and put the parachute on. I used to use an NB-6 routinely and I agree that you have to watch what you are doing when putting it on. Just getting the leg straps straightened out required attention. The chest straps remind me of the later Security 150 and 250 model parachutes which I never liked for that reason. I much prefer the relatively high mounted chest strap type harness. I imagine that the packing card for your NB-8 was on the container and several inches down from the top and between the container and back pad. Robert99
  17. While Farflung's famous video does appear to have the 727's rear stairs removed, if that was the usual case how did Cooper know that the rear stairs could be lowered in flight and that the aircraft could take off with the stairs unlocked? Maybe Cooper observed such operations. Presumably, the 727 could be pressurized by just closing the door at the rear of the pressure hull even if the rear stairs were not on the aircraft. And then the aircraft could climb to a higher altitude for better range, etc.. Also, give some thought as to how and why the 727 aircraft got involved in such operations in the first place? There were plenty of military aircraft that could perform any mission that was assigned to the 727. Except, of course, look like a 727 civilian airliner. And I'll bet it wasn't Boeing that paid for the redesign of the rear stairs or for the flight tests to check everything out. Robert99
  18. Cooper could indeed have been anybody from the general population with some unique exceptions: 1. Where did Cooper get his information about the 727 flap, landing gear, and speed conditions he specified to the flight crew? It is "unlikely" that this information came from 727 commercial airline documents. 2. Cooper apparently did have experience in routinely putting on and wearing emergency parachutes. And that means he had aircraft experience in one capacity or another. 3. Cooper knew that the 727 could take off with the rear stairs unlocked, but he apparently had not seen that specific rear stair control panel before. This knowledge could not have come from 727 commercial airline operations or handbooks. And that means . . . . .. If Cooper's body is ever located, check for dog tags. Robert99
  19. (emphasis added) The KY referred to Jo's home state, not any personal lubrication products. I didnt see the double entendre when I wrote it, but Guru and Jo did. Jo, you really have mastered the art of the tease. Although I know better, you have me wondering... "what if Jo really has found some evidence that will solve the case. Might I actually have to eat a CROW?" Then I come to my senses... 377 The crows don't have anything to worry about. They are safe. Robert99
  20. BULL! ALL U POST IS GARBAGE! U make me sick! U take things OUT of CONTEXT and any idiot woud know exactly how it was meant to be taken. U just twist! I have asked before that U make NO responses to my post! TOO leave ME alone! Jo, As long as you call me names and make false allegations about me, I am going to reply to your posts. So if you don't want to hear from me, just clean up your own act. Robert99
  21. Jo writes: I do NOT see U Robert99 making any productive posts about any suspect or the case. Do you just hang out in the DZ and make negative comments about suspects or any investigation anyone attempts to do. R99 replies: Of the "suspects" being put forward by various "investigators" for commerical or egostistical reasons, there is no realistic chance in hell that any of them could be D.B. Cooper. While there are additional reasons as well, the main reason is that they were all still breathing on Thanksgiving Day in 1971. Jo writes: WHAT do you DO OUTSIDE of the thread to find the truth? R99 replies: Can you name anything that is being done in this thread at the present time to find the truth? Jo writes: I am trying to figure out how I can financially make another trip to WA. This time with specific goals and confront the FBI with actual paper work and files they seem to deny. There is NO reason the FBI should conceal any arrest records Weber had - especially when they have to do with WA, OR and ID. Perhaps they did NOT know what they were looking for. R99 replies: Be sure to include bail money in your financial planning. Jo writes: You are the one who takes words and things individual post and then YOU read into it what you want. Then YOU make an issue out of it. You repeat things until you convince others I made the statement - but the original post stands and cleary states I was telling a story told to by another individual. I do NOT believe everything I hear! R99 replies: I must confess that in at least one instance, you were able to go back and change your original post to remove what I was talking about. Nevertheless, your original post was quoted accurately in my response.
  22. You're right. Except for Weber, whom they investigated and officially dismissed years ago. Kind of makes you wonder what they're doing up there in Seattle lately on the case. I think they got burned pretty hard on the Marla Fable and don't know which way to turn anymore. One thing's for sure, they haven't gone public on anything much since that time.
  23. Jo, You twist your own words. I simply point that out to you. I would never be able to dream up some of the stories you put out. Robert99
  24. Blevins, The newsletter writer is not trying to make a legal case. He is just passing along information in what is, at best, a casual and informal manner. Did the writer need to cite references for the statements about Tina or for Anderson's conversations with the ground refueling people? It is YOUR assumption that the newsletter writer is making an assumption. Robert99
  25. After a fast visit to the NWA History Centre, it appears that a $20 membership is necessary to view the NWA Reflections newsletter and to buy items from the Centre. Is the above correct Georger? Robert99 I had no problem viewing them? http://www.nwahistory.org/newsletter.htm I don't have any trouble getting to the newsletter page, but I still can't open individual newsletters. And I did install the Adobe reader on that page just to make sure I had the right version. Maybe I need to send my e-mail address to the NWA e-mail address shown on that page. Robert99
