  1. Yea RTFM, and I have two sabre ones, and when packed the way the manual says to pack them, they don't go WACK, as many others have posted. If they did I wouldn't be jumping them with 20 some pounds of shit on my head. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  2. And what is the DZO's reason for the taking them off the system, when it can remain in place and be unattached? you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  3. Very well put Bill, I knew someone would understand what I way trying to say. I see good points in both Dave and AFFI's posts above. When I said "wash ones hands and be done" That didn't mean take no action! There are some people I just won't jump with or get on the same load with due to their repeted actions. If the need be I will warn others to look out, I will speak with the S&TA and DZO,RD and even a ND, if need be, if all else fails, I don't jump, I sit back and wait it out and get in on the pool, or go to another DZ, most the time waiting it out works, and sometimes I even win the pool. I'm willing to bet Floats18 will tell you I go way past the extra mile with helping a student/lowtimer find their way in learning this sport. So (for the record) you got to be a real fuck up and a know it all, for me to "wash my hands of you" and go on about my business. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  4. I really like number 1. Great shot. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  5. When I said "provide the info, then wash your hands of it" means, how long you you going to keep riding someones ass? Mine, it's 3 times, first time, second time, provide the info, back up info with reports and or video, ect. Third time, again provide the info and ask them to fill out their own accident report to have on file. After that fuck um, I have better things to do with my time like work with someone who wants to learn and wants the help, and who is not in a hurry to get to an accident. And skinny, you of all people should know what type and or who I'm speaking of. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  6. Nice shot, opening shots are fun. I'll play along now too, a few I had laying around. And a storm at the dz for fun. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  7. Skinny, Like I told once before not long ago, some people have said the same of you. Good your able to see it now first hand, so now you may see some who have/do rag on your ass, are standing on the side of the fence your now standing on.
  8. Hey, that's me! *** Now thats funny. wonder where he found the photo. 460 where did you come across the photo? you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  9. unless your like the guy's in the 80's who loss one in FF and it hit a two story house, let's just say it exploded in the dinning room on the first floor, and left a hell of a lot more then "just a wet spot" If I remember correct this was in KCMO 81-82 -83 time frame. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  10. Here http://www.unitedcamera.com Ritz sent them my 10d under the ESP, these are the folks who handle all ESP work for Ritz. Hope this helps. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  11. Try contacting mile-hi DZ in Longmont Co. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  12. Your welcome. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  13. I was refering to england, that you seem to be so loyal to the crown of england. Seeing how you refer to "damm yanks" a term offten used by the brits, sounds to me your a wanabee brit. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  14. I guess then we supported the wrong side then in 1941-45. Maybe we should have kept all our means to wage war here at home instead of shipping it to england and sending troops to defend your country in WW2 then maybe you would have said that in german and not english. One my family members died defending your county, asshole. Maybe you should try saying thanks to those "damm yanks" who died help keep your freedoms. As for the current village idiot, not everyone over here voted for him and or supports his way of thinking. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  15. Single operation system, ie, pulling one handle will cutaway your main canopy and also pull the pin on the reserve, look just like a regular reserve ripcord, but will do both jobs as long as you pull it all the way. No it's not the same as a RSL. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  16. I hope your not trying to imply I'm bagging on him for asking the question. Because I'm not! Way back in 1982 when the first published story came out about someone doing this on the front range Wyoming, some of us in the sport ran right out and also tried it. There is a hell of a lot more to it then just putting a canopy over ones head and running down the fucking mountain! In todays world there are way better place's and people to learn this from, some of those same people have crashed and burned and their some of the best at it. So what I'm saying is, if you want to GL go take a class and ask your questions at the school from those who would have the best up to date info! you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  17. Maybe instead of being worried about that, you could figure up what it might cost you in medical bills if you hit a tree, person, ski lift, of just get pounded into the ground by some funky winds. With 29 jumps are you really that good of a canopy pilot? Anyway take the amount you come up with to cover your possible medical bills, possible fines, ect and put it aside for nice trip to a warm part of the country to make some jumps or attend a ground launch school. If you really want to GL why not go learn how to do it the right way from those who have been there, done that, and got the t-shirt. Then again you could blow off all the good advice people have posted and go ahead try it on your own, you might get lucky and pull it off as others have done in the past, then again you might learn the hard way as others have, that you weren't ready and didn't know what the hell you were doing, sure would suck to start next season wearing a cast or rolling around the dz in a wheel chair now wouldn't. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  18. I also use wrap around shades due to the fit issues with goggles, but I don't have contacts, yet, that may change in the very near future. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  19. Yea you got to love the 70's porn star shorts. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  20. Well for one I didn't "pay out the ass" I got a very good price on my 10d, yes I spent 400 for the ESP and it was worth evey penny, unlike the 200 or so I spent on a worthless mack. Hey if your happy with the mack service good for you. I stand by my statements. And I will never have ANYTHING good to say about their service and will always tell anyone who asks to stay away from them. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  21. Hey good for both you and Katie for not getting bent over by them, however the same shit they pulled on TK (see his post a few above) they pulled on me. As far as ever wasting any of my money with them again forget it, I stand by what I said MACK SUCKS ASS! I would never tell anyone to waste their money and time with mack! You may have had it fixed twice, fine, but maybe the next time you'll get bent over and you may change your tune. I will also stand by what I said about the ESP from ritz camera, it's far beyond anything mack has to offer and one of, if not the best warranty you can buy hands down. My 10d bounced from 3.5, picked up what was left of it and put it in a plastic bag took it to store, walked out with brand new 20d with nothing out of pocket and no questions asked, let see mack do that! you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  22. 14 knots max unless the DZ has a waiver then it can be 17 knots, if I remember correct. DZ I jump at has the wind waiver. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  23. I highly recommend the Mack Warranty.*** I would tell anyone I know to RUN AWAY! Mack sucks ass! The best one on the market is the ritz camera ESP hands down. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  24. canon or sigma 15mm fixed. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
