I didn't misunderstand jackshit ! You said the following.... There is no misunderstanding here at all, your statement is one of a foolish person who will get a whole load killed period! There is no debate as to what you stated, maybe you need to rethink things, sorry but you stuck your foot in your mouth and now your talking out your ass. Goodnite, I be back in the morning. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

I am well aware of your adventures. And your posts (and hers) above is why I said "she" needed to search for the Celina Ohio crash and read the reports and take a good hard look at the photos of the dead jumpers and where they landed and where the airplane is. And that is why I would (if we made it) be looking to kick the shit out of anyone who would endanger the rest of the load by acting like a fool. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

It is quite apparent to me as well as most others you don't have a fucking clue and the point is way over your head for your ability to understand, I stand by my statement and advise you learn a tad more about aircraft before you find yourself needing to know what the fuck to do without killing everyone on the load, some of us have been in this sport a very long time have been and maybe again in a crash and the reason we are here still is because we kept our cool dispite the human condition to flee. it seems to me you just don't like the fact that many posters and myself are calling you out on your Bullshit! you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Nope! But burst into flames at 500 ft is no reason for you to endanger everyone else by acting like a fool, if your behind me, your going to have go thur me first to get to the door, if your in front of me and open the door and leave and live and we all make it out of the crash site alive, you better be on a fast train to Mexico and go into hiding and I don't care if you are a chick I'll be looking to kick your ass! you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Well you did say this and guess what, that shit kills people, when someone freaks the fuck out and start moving around and opening doors and trying to climb out without a pilot command, while the pilot is fighting to fly the plane to the crash site, you need to search for the crash in Celina Ohio about 6 years ago and take a good look at the photos. I will admit bad pilot played a big roll in that one, but it is the placement of the bodys you need to see in the photos. Sucks to be you if you the one in the very back of the plane and the CG just moved all the way AFT and a bunch of drag is now not helping the pilot get the nose down to keep airspeed up, I hope you don't find out the hard way one day, but if you do you WILL BE CLEANING YOUR SHORTS and then kicking the shit out of the fools who endangered the rest. You need a little more airplane understanding! you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Maybe, maybe not..... most likely NOT, Spinning you will be pinned, and trying to crawl your self to the door will be a chore, let alone draging your studnt with you. The attachment is from a spin in 18 in 81, a lot of good people were lost. I'm sure thay all tried to get out and couldn't as well as ran out of time. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Thanks for the info. Ok, I have seen it for sale for a number of years now, and it dosen't seem to be in operation at all, just sitting waiting for a buyer, I have wondered whats up with that? One would think he would at least put some place and run it, then again it may be run down to the point of being junk now. As well as being hard to compeat with the new designs that are around now days. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Thanks for the info, I hadn't heard anything about him or the tunnel in a long time, and I saw the portables for sale on your site and wondered if one of those were it, this is why I asked. Thanks again. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

I would have thought it would be, due to the snow depth and weather, the reason I thought this.... Larry King had some more good info last night for those of us not in the know. And as far as me using the word "stupid" well to me it still seems a stupid thing to try,IMHO this time of the year, I wouldn't try it if asked to go, out of my not wanting to freeze my ass off. Their big boy's and knew what they were getting into and willing to take the risk, just like we do on every jump. Somethings I think are real stupid to do in skydiving, like trying to catch a cutaway canopy in the air(is a good example), some people will and have tried to do, and it get's them, we (some of us) learned a long time ago it was not a good idea to do those types of things, and if I see you doing some of those things I may or may not come up and tell you, your about to do something stupid. Some people see it as stupid and others don't, it all in how you look at it. Now I don't wish harm on anyone, and me talking about cutway catching is not about Nate Gilbert, he just happens to be the last one known to me to have tried and lost. And had I seen him trying it, I would have dug out some old photos from the late 70's and told him (or anyone else) that is a stupid thing to do and here is why. I'm sorry if no one explained it to him and he just didn't know all the risks, maybe he did know all the risks, maybe he didn't. No disrespect to the fallen ment by this statement, take it as you will. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

This is also some of the thinking as to why in my first post I said "stupid", however a better wording would have been "lack of better judgement". I also wouldn't think there are any good routes up this time of the year. I would think this kind of gear would be SOP for the dangerous conditions one would find this time of the year. For those who want to slam me for asking this here, sorry, but I have a DVD on everest gone wrong a few year back and was watching a show tonight on discovery about everest as well as the news, it is pretty wild what altitude sickness dose to the mind and leads to poor decisions and bodys left on the mountian. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

I see, this the type of info I was wondering about. As a non climber, my first thoughts would be weather and slides. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

This is one reason I have to wonder, if this was such a good idea and these guys I would think thought this through, it also comes to mind right now as I watch a show in discovery CH. on everest. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Heartless, ok maybe I should have stated "lack of better judgement" Yes it is, and this post is in the place where we are allowed to discuss many things besides jumping like the many post about tits and farting. You may not like the fact I find it "showing a huge lack of better judgement" to attempt that climb this time of the year, sorry if your offended. I ask here for a reason, I wanted to know what my peer group thinks, I don't climb anymore and have never climbed in that type of enviroment, we are risk takers and have a pretty good idea of what risk is. I think if I went to a climbing site and asked it could be viewed as poor taste, if you think it's rude or in poor taste, your welcome to your opinion, thanks for your input. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Just wondering, anyone else think it was pretty stupid of these guys to attempt a climb on Mt. Hood this time of the year? you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Do we have to give free photos and videos???
stratostar replied to davidpanal's topic in Photography and Video
Your preaching to the choir, for one. I don't work for free, that should be clear by now. Only people who get that treatment from me is other staff and those who I owe favors too, most other camera flyers I know trade film/stills of each other. I don't even give wuffo friends free videos/stills if they do TDM's. There's always times you can make exceptions, for example when a TM was killed last year, I went thru many hours of tape and made a tribute film of him ending with the missing man formations, I gave the DVD copies away to anyone who wanted them. Why? Because it would be low class to charge his friends or make money off of a tribute to the fallen, IMHO. (we're not national G. here) Well that's how it works in these part's, you pay your dues and prove you can do the job before you can get in the rotation and paid slots.(and I'm not talking about fun jumps as paying your dues) LOL your not all that, I've seen you. ok here, I'll give ya a nickel. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo -
