  1. Well I have seen attempts: 1. To get jumpers fired from their job as well as the wife of jumper. 2. People traveling many miles (over 100) to "have a chat" with jumpers. It didn't look to me much like any "chat" I would like to have. 3. Rigs tampered with, main and reserves. 4. Cars and airplanes damaged. 5. People backballed by a number of DZ's 6. USPA turn their backs on those who spoke up and basicly called them liers to there face at the FSDO, even with a pile of proof sitting on the FAA's table. 7. When most of that shit didn't go as they would have liked, then they went after the new DZO's where jumpers went to. That is the short list, if I really put some more thought into it I could think of other things. I can't tell you what to do other then try asking Sparky if you know him. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  2. No they don't check to see if a DZO has the proper tickets, but they do have you sign a paper saying you promiss to be a good boy/girl and play by the rules, yet no one really holds them to the fire. Perhaps 'good ole boys' need to rethink some thoughts... The only rethinking done in that camp is how to CYA. Well the good old boy network has been in play for over 30 years now and many of the players are still on the field, so I don't think it will go away anytime soon. You sound like an outstanding citizen and we could use more honest people in the sport like yourself you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  3. Yea right, sure they would. This isn't my first rodeo. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  4. No big surprise there. You asked to see it or looked it up? Again no big surprise there. Well that would depend on you. What do you think is right. 1. If you snitch to the FAA or USPA your a rat and will be baclkballed at many area DZ's and maybe worse things may be tried to shut you up or teach you a lesson for snitching. 2. If you tell the USPA, you only piss off "friends" of the DZO, they more then likely already know he has been doing this for years. The DZO may be a longtime "member of good standing in the good old boy network". 3. You can keep your mouth shut and go on doing your thing at that dz or keep your trap shut and move on to another dz and not look back. 4. After you move on, you can tell others you know why you left, this is when you find out who are your real friends. 5. Now that you have posted this on the net, even if you don't do anything and someone else dose, everyone who knows you will think you got the dzo busted and they will be pissed off at you for turning in their dope dealer. Now sit back and ask yourself, how many jumpers are at that dz, that have been jumping there for years, you really think your the first person to find this out? You really think the FAA don't know this DZO? if he has been in the biz for any amount of time, then the FAA has been there at some point to ramp checks and other FAA biz. I find it hard to believe they (the FAA) don't know he only has a PPL and has been flying jumpers. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  5. They do now. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  6. No it is amied at those who are so quick to jump all over someone else who posted their dealing with a "talking to a FAA rep" and labeling them as a rat/snitch. I don't personally know Tom B. but for him to post that and say this should be turned in to the FAA takes BALLS. At my best guess upon reading many of his post/info, me thinks he is a standup guy. But I'm still waiting for the "he's a snitch" crowd to show up to bash him as they did Mr. Peek. Yes. I'm sure the folks who took off in a 182 in beaver PA? that crashed didn't think anything of flying with a old jump pilot who lost his license due to medical, till they crashed. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  7. Not aimed at you Tom. But WOW, skydivers talking about and encourging other jumpers to go to the FAA and Snitch/Rat out someone in the sport? WTF! So we have a bunch of folks who jump all over Mr. Peeks shit for "just talking to a FAA rep" (rantol 06 bandit base) so where are all those people who got all in Peeks shit? What you guys aren't going to get all up Tom's ass for wanting to rat out and snitch on a pilot. Oh I guess it is ok to rat out a pilot but not a jumper... I happen to agree with going to the FAA on this BTW, and I also think Mr. Peek did the right thing as well. If more jumpers who are "really in the know" (A&P's pilots,FBO's, riggers) would grab their nut sacks and tell the truth we would see many who couldn't pass the mustard. But as we have seen in the treatment of Mr. Peek, cutting corners in skydiving is SOP and many many people will turn a blind eye for many reasons, we have been doing so for years and if you speak out or deal with the FED's your a fucking RAT and don't belong in the brother/sisterhood.... you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  8. Not quite right. That is a good start and more then most people. Yea I remember when I was invinciable too. Well you may or may not "know nothing" as far as life goes, but as far as skydiving gose you only know enough to cover the basics and survive it if your lucky. I would say you should go ahead and take your bat and ball and go the fuck home till you grow up a little more. Please come on back when you can act like an adult, learn something. Maybe you get treated the way you do at the DZ because you act like a 100 jump wonder who knows it all, just like a 16 year old who just got a driver license and drives like one too, at least that is how your posts in this thread have come off. You and others may feel "more experianced" don't want to hang or jump with you. Well people who have been at this for a long time have seen guys like you come and go, sadly a lot leave in body bags because they throw the rules out or never followed them in the first place, becuase they knew better then everyone else. So it is easier to offer the good advice, sit back and watch as it is totally disrgarded and they become one of the broken or dead. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  9. Can't say as I blame Ya, all those people barrel rolling on break off and all...... you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  10. Well we're not really allowed to tell people this, but "we"(all the really cool kids) use the "joe cool" bicycle clip on rearviews on our goggles, just don't let anyone know I told ya, or they take my union card. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  11. I don't know about Mexico City or TJ, but in east LA it's HOMIE...... at least the last time I was there. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

  15. I was able to pick out the russians too, they did two barrel rolls, friken show offs, I tell ya..... you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  16. Not like that makes you an expert or anything, but I was wondering, how many jumpers on those bigways at brake off turn 180 and track off then BR just before dumping. For that matter I recall seeing a video from the 400 way, you have to look close to see it, but every single skydiver on that jump did a BR during the break off, I heard it was a manditory in order to be on that jump, one must be a good at tracking barrel rolls or no invite. You must suck real bad at TBR's, isn't that why you didn't get slot on the 400 way?. And people wonder why I might pull so low. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  17. imovie, were not making star wars here, just a simple tandem video, I'm a big fan of K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  18. Both. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  19. I find it fast for a 10 to 12 minute tandem video, for longer projects I store it on a EHD. To also make the Tandem videos faster we don't record DVD's with the idvd, we export to a dvd recorder, how ever long your video is, thats how long it takes to burn. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

  23. Also found one two years ago, the rigger who owns it now, washed it and retested it, now it's fine and in his belly wart. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
