  1. LOL...got to say it ----as has been noted several times before --- he sure looks like one happy, broke, short ditch digger. Just sayin...
  2. The way I read the article, it is Rataczak who provided the assessment of Kenny...... as in...."Here are a few little-known-facts Rataczak provided to his audience, often spiced with a bit of wry humor."......In other words, seems like the writer is writing what Rataczak said. Ergo, Rataczak is the source. Whenever you interview Ratczak, maybe you could ask him where he got it from. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  3. I read your account. If not something more personal, at the least it sounds like you might have malware and/or a nasty virus. Either can get into your files and your registry and wreak all kinds of havoc. I would take my computer to someone that can "deep clean" it, then make sure you have a firewall and good antivirus program. And Backup your documents on an external drive. (Spoken by someone who learned the hard way)
  4. Looks like the avian conspiracy regarding the Seahawks may have been a hoax. Falcons 27 - Hawks 7...so far. Yup. 28 - 30 Hotlanta Avian conspiracy definitely a hoax. I TOLD you I had an in. No way your Hawks were gonna win against Atlanta today.
  5. ... With the vacuum advance diaphragm on the distributor disconnected from the vacuum line. 377 Of course.
  6. LOL....Say what? Seriously? And you thought what Georger said was offensive. Actually, you are wrong yet again. The more accurate sentence structure would be: Women are a lot smarter than you. Think!
  7. Thanks Jo.. I'm putting down now to see if anyone else wants to take a crack at it. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  8. Yes, there just might. But I'm not telling you where to find it.
  9. So to receive extra pay (aka jump pay) you had to have one jump per quarter? Is this the same as certification? With the post that I referenced there was also a question asked: Was annual jump certification required back then? I didn't look further for the answer but was assuming, if yes, that would mean there would be paperwork regarding jumping? If, for example, LE wanted more proof that he was at least familiar with parachute. LOL...Okay I walked into that one. I kind of assumed that there might be training and an assignment involved
  10. You should be sensible and look up the meaning of 'misogynistic'. Thought you were a smart guy. I was standing UP for women. Not all our female military personnel are lesbians. Most are regular US babes fighting and/or serving their country. And even if some of them are gay, I don't have a problem with that. Everyone who takes the oath, picks up a weapon, or does a job in the forwarding of our continued freedom deserves our respect. I'm attaching the picture of those Air Force women one last time as a reminder. misogynistic = hatred of women. Not lesbians specifically. I'm not getting that from Georger's post and eye r 1. A woman, not a lesbian. And I can be a misogynist at times. Lots rather hang out with the boys. Regardless, ummm. I think Georger was making a joke. Joke = oh hell - you look it up. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  11. Jo why don't you make it easier on yourself and everyone else and just say whatever it is that the person told you. Sometimes context allows others to make sense of what someone is trying to tell you. Your Co could be multnomah county, oregon, sonoma county, Ca. Context might help. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  12. SkyJack: So you are saying that the guy that you were dating told you that Dan Cooper might mean DB Cooper? Why do you think he knew? If they know about the hijacking, most people don't make the association Dan Cooper = DB Cooper because they are so familiar with the DB. The reason I asked is because "DAN COOPER" (as opposed to "DB COOPER") is the one thing that has always struck me about your story. It is also one reason that I've never agreed with those that think you're lying about what you were told or think you were told. (NOTE - I didn't say I believed it or that it was true - just that I don't think you are outright lying. I also don't think that you would have used "Dan Cooper if you were making it up - you would have said DB). If truthfully you had never read about DB Cooper, and didn't have the story buried in your subconscious somewhere, then it is very interesting that you would start the story with DAN instead of DB. I would venture to guess that few would have been familiar with Dan when you started out with this. Even now, with the benefit of some media awareness, no one knows who I am talking about when i say Dan Cooper. If on the other hand I say DB, they might not know all the details, but they've heard of him somewhere. So everyone: take it a step further - if Duane was really the hijacker, would he have said Dan Cooper or DB Cooper? Put yourself in his position. You've used a bunch of aliases, you know the press run with DB. SO on your deathbed confession is it Dan or DB? but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  13. KC states that the jump was "worth $150". This presumably would be military jump pay. Does anyone know how the jump pay worked in 1946? How many jumps did he have to make to receive it? Is jump pay based on making a certain number of jumps per month? Or per quarter? And I assume it was paid at a fixed rate each month. Robert99 7Hell Jump pay was only $55 a month or so in the 1970's you had to have 1 jump per quarter... that is why I got so many on our rotation.. MANY of the guys I was stationed with only did their money jump.. and I would take as many of their jumps as I could.. I loved launching myself out over a Huey skid at 1200 feet over water. Just kick back and watch the C-9 inflate over your head. So to receive extra pay (aka jump pay) you had to have one jump per quarter? Is this the same as certification? With the post that I referenced there was also a question asked: Was annual jump certification required back then? 14. LOL Because we like to leave no stone unturned?? It's not about proving it anyway - it doesn't have to be about you one-upping everyone. Yeah, Kenny's got some gaping holes, so does virtually everyone else we've discussed. See here's what I think you don't get about the whole discussion thing. It doesn't have to be about one upping everyone and trying to prove this or that. It's not a competition for most of us. We just want to dig into the case. When it gets to be about Blevins and Cook and whoever, then it's not fun anymore. Plus you don't get to decide whether we talk about Kenny or not. You are not the sole exclusive arbiter of all that is Kenny Christiansen. Hell someone on here might find something that actually helps your case. The thread has already helped you find the way to the truth more than once - in fact, the thread is primarily responsible for you having to write a "second Edition". Friendly advice -- take it or leave it -- sometimes you suck all the air out of the thread and don't leave any room for compromise. Lighten up.
  15. These were head coaches - but that might mean that they were over the entire program and not football. I'd have to look further to get individual coaches. I don't understand why that is important? 1973-1980 L. Moddlemog 1980-2003 T. Monty but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  16. I still don't recall it ever being proven KC WAS trained as a Paratrooper. I asked for this several pages back, I don't recall ever seeing it addressed. I know It is not your job to prove it, but maybe you saw it if it was posted? Matt you are correct, to the best of my knowledge I haven't seen any military records of KC.......quick search time quick search: Kenith Christiansen Display Partial Records File unit: Electronic Army Serial Number Merged File, ca. 1938 - 1946 (Enlistment Records) No Records Found......Hmmmm You might not have found it because of the spelling. I think it's Kenneth Christiansen. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  17. Think so. LOL...I just watched Signs so I'm not much on coincidence right now.
  18. Yes - Kenny was in the military - remember we went through the discussion about him going in directly from High school - they had a special program for that type of enlistment. You can search on Kenny Army in the thread and get some posts you can look at. Blevins was wrong about some of the historical reference (or didn't understand), but as to Kenny's service, I've looked up his military stuff when I was researching his genealogy so I can vouch for that. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  19. I still don't recall it ever being proven KC WAS trained as a Paratrooper. I asked for this several pages back, I don't recall ever seeing it addressed. Matt Dont KC's letters home from service attest to him doing jumps? Blevins presented several of those and other records/background earlier. ? I think that's correct. Here is one post out of many that came up on the search (I just picked one - so I have no idea of the context): According to Skipp Porteus, the story of Kenny jumping comes from a single letter dated August 4, 1946 from Sendai ......... From Skipp: "“Dear Folks,” Kenny wrote home in one letter dated August 4, 1946, from Sendai. “I went to church this morning. I went last Sunday also. I had more reason to go last Sunday, as after ten months of hibernation, I once again donned a chute and reserve and entered a C-46. I cringed a good deal, but I managed once again to pitch myself into the blast. That jump was worth $150. The nicest thing about the whole affair was that I never had time to worry about it … Don’t get the idea that I didn’t get that certain stomackless [sic] feeling, because I did.”" Mr. Blevins quotes this letter in his book, and provides no other Japan letters. Are there any others? Kenny was deployed, after his initial training on August 16, 1945. [Ed. note: Japan surrendered on August 12, 1945. Nagasaki was August 9, 1945] Looking at the ten month "hibernation" ..maybe this was his first jump after training............ but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  20. Sure you aren't talking about Scholls, Oregon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scholls,_Oregon I'm with Matt -- a little confused by your post and not sure what you are asking?? but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  21. Skyjack, I have a question for you. When did you realize who Dan Cooper was? In other words - what was it about the random utterances of a very sick man that made you say ummmm... who is this Dan Cooper? I mean what if he had said I'm Jonathan Dyer or Sam Brown? Or Mac McKinley? What id he said I'm John Collllllllins. I can understand if you knew who Dan Cooper was that you would investigate but without knowing who he was why would you have investigated this versus if he had just said a random name from a television show he saw? Why did it even register with you that it was anything to question? I'm sure you've told this before but please don't make me search. Just curious but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  22. Here is what I can PROVE on KC: Pay stubs? bank statements? W2's? If you have those I'll give you this one. Prove it. (Not through your hearsay going by what someone told you - how can you PROVE it) Can you prove all of this? The only thing I've seen proof for is the house deed, right. Do you have cancelled checks for the loan? Notarized documents, any documents? If you do, then you get one point for each document No reason to disbelieve this one, but do you have something tangible to back up this statement with? Picture, guest book? So THAT obviously means that he NEVER jumped after he got out of the army. Hard to prove a negative. And you haven't
  23. Ummm. Nah. That would be you that brought up Christiansen. Jeez. LOL...And then you did it again...but I'm not copying all that. Got to wrest control of the remote from my son so I can change the channel...The Big Lebowski is on. My son says you either get it or you don't. I said I get it - I'm not that old. It's just not one of those that I have to see every frickin time it comes on. Puhlease. How is the interview coming along? You never answered my question about the co-pilot. Did you ever post that interview with "Rat" that you were asking for questions to use? I'm sure I just missed it but I used search and can't find it. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  24. Hearsay evidence is when a witness testifies to what ANOTHER person may have said, or did say. Direct testimony is where a witness testifies to what they have seen or known on their own, without quoting a second party. Most of the witnesses on KC's life and actions are direct witnesses, not hearsay witnesses. Didn't McCoy wear a jumpsuit and boots? Didn't he threaten the hell out of people with that fake grenade and pistol? Looks like Mr Military came prepared. The idea of Gossett, a jumper with recent experience and twenty-five years in the military at the time of the hijacking, doing the Cooper Thing is still tough to swallow. Suit, dress shoes, a briefcase with a bomb, no visible weapon, no boots, polite to a fault, and absolutely nothing in conversation or actions that would lead any of the witnesses to think he was active-duty military. 305 does not sound like the work of a lifelong military man, but either an amateur who got lucky or someone with just enough experience jumping to be dangerous. Sorry, but I just can't envision Gossett coming to the biggest party of his life so unprepared. Edit: It could be a trick of the light, maybe...but in the attached pic of Gossett, looks like half of his left eyebrow is missing. And your point is...... moot. I hate to point it out to you ad nauseum that Gossett, based on his entire life, fits the personality profile much more than KC. The rest of Gossett's life does not fit the profile of a lifelong military man. The mere fact that you have McCoy undertaking this is out of character. I hate to tell you but DB Cooper was not above threatening people with instant death. And you know we don't really know how experienced or prepared Cooper was do we? If he made it seems like he was as experienced and prepared as he needed to be. If he didn't, well shucks, I guess he wasn't. Your logic doesn't make sense anyway - IF he was an experienced jumper, then he should be wearing a paramilitary outfit waving around grenades and guns?? As opposed to saying - look miss, I have a bomb, then calmly putting on a chute and jumping out???? I'd say cool under pressure accounts for a lot, but that's just me. Maybe, just maybe whoever pulled it off was smart enough to know that he needed to act out of character. Oh well - we could be here forever trying to solve the case based on known personality traits. Ain't gonna happen. Mona Lisa Vito: What? Vinny Gambini: Nothing. You stick out like a sore thumb around here. Mona Lisa Vito: Me? What about you? Vinny Gambini: I fit in better than you. At least I'm wearing cowboy boots. Mona Lisa Vito: Oh yeah, you blend. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
  25. Thanks for the law lesson but None - count em Z-E-R-O of your "witnessess" have any direct knowledge of kenny Christiansen as a hijacker. That's zilch, nada. None of your witnesses lived full time with KC or was direct witness to anything other than they were at a dinner where he didn't show up and the fact that he loaned them money. None of them have any direct knowledge of where his money came from. None of them know what KC did on his layovers. Much, actually, of your testimony is hearsay. Most of the rest is just circumstantial and uncorroborated. Which makes it about as good as hearsay. Let's see someone said that Kenny installed cabinets - why that means he must have made the secret hideaway. No one saw him build it. Did you talk to someone that actually found buried money on his property? I thought not. Someone says logs are missing - why that must mean that Bernie stole them. I could go on and on - but I won't. You're welcome.
