  1. Its easy to quarterback now - 50 yrs later! Tina is an easy target. People want or expect perfection. (not going to happen) Recall one camp said Tina was a 'vegetable', traumatised beyond use. Tosaw, Smith, Cook ... until that turned out to be wrong! Intentional deception? Trauma syndrome? That would require exceptional proof. Give the woman a break! Sometimes a cigar is ...................... you know how that goes. There is no evidence Tina was party to the crime.
  2. All kinds of people have said that: Cook, Smith, Tosaw, ......... These people claim to know Tina better than Tina knows herself.
  3. It's an impasse. And a quick slide into: Tina is hiding something,, with no way to prove that! Once again the identity of Cooper falls back on forensic information, which is lacking and debated. Kaye's attempt at dna information got corrupted by self contamination, which is a bit humorous. The Cooper case is cursed .......... by too many cooks and experts all clashing. The net result of that is no consensus on anything, ending in boredom and gridlock on the Ulis Channel, the foremost expert in the World on the DB Cooper case now moving to Seattle!
  4. Chaucer got hold of Dave. Dave is now aware of the problem. Give Dave time; he is traveling. Sounds like the site will be back ... take care.
  5. This will resolve in a few days; give it time. Dave has been contacted ....... this sounds like a glitch of some kind which always happens when the owners of the site make some change without notifying people. Dave has had to face that before, Just give it some time . . . I hope Dave is OK and no reason to think he isn't.
  6. Was wondering the same thing. He evidently has closed his site to members only - outsider's cant even read it! That is how it appears. ? I emailed Chaucer and Shutter, but no reply yet... ?

  8. Who knows what Brian remembers .......... or has been fed over the years by a whole assortment of people ? Back in the day (2008-10) Brian told a number of people he didnt remember anything. Bruce Smith, for example, didnt even bother to interview Brian after Kaye reported Brian saying 'he doesnt remember anything'. In 1980 standing on Tena Bar Brian was, in fact, only eight years old. The last thing in Brian's mind in 1980 was the CB Cooper case. Brian has matured and developed since then. His concerns and agenda is different today. I have never detected that Brian, as a person, has anything technical to contribute to the Cooper case - but today he does have many 'opinions' about it all, including 'opinions' he has been fed by various people who entered his life because of the Cooper saga. One Cooper player told me 'point blank' that Brian needed 'guidance in his life' and he, the Cooper icon, was giving Brian advice - sometimes daily - about what Brian should do or not do and who and whom Brian should be dealing with. Tom Kaye was on Brian's approved list, for example. Does Brian remember anything about the rubber bands' ? Who knows! Brian himself may not remember 'what he remembers' about the rubber bands, because Brian may not remember what he is going to remember and say next Tuesday until next Tuesday arrives! In the meantime there are people in Brian's life more than willing to tell Brian 'what to think and say and remember, and to whom'! That is a fact no one can deny today! In that environment, nothing is pristine or uncontaminated, as if Brian was still eight years old. Brian's eight year old mind is long gone and unreachable, even by Brian himself!
  9. Why 5 hrs? Is 5 the magic number? What makes this a useful experiment?
  10. Until Brian surfaces and is willing to talk to the world, nothing is possible. Evidently Brian is talking with people at the Facebook forum, and none others. Who knows what Brian knows or does not know. When I was negotiating with Brian back in 2010 he put me in touch with his mother which lead to Pat and I have two conversations by phone, and possibly a third call between us. I found Pat a personable intelligent lady willing to talk and share what she knew/remembered. Pat and I discussed the cleaning of the money at some length. She was detailed in her recollection. She never mentioned 'fabric softener'. But, the Ingram's primary effort at the time was cleaning the money for presentation at a bank to get the money exchanged and they knew they had several thousand dollars in found money, so it was worth their time to clean the money for presentation. After a series of conversations following their discovery, initiated mainly by Harold/Dwayne/Spike? (the painter) they suddenly were made aware that their discovery was related to the DB Cooper case, and they now thought they were due a reward. Pat may still be alive somewhere. Harold passed in 2019 and his obits dont even mention his wife or ex-wife 'Patricia'. Pat told me that when the kids turned up the money Harold was off at some distance but the kids called Harold to their side ... while she and Crystal were further down the beach discussing personal matters ... and Harold called to them to come back and see what had been found. She said when she got back, Harold had extracted the money and she provided a plastic bread wrapper to put the money in. She said everyone saw remnants of old rubber bands around the bundles of money but no paper straps. I have explained all of this many times, but my posts are always ignored. Pat explained me their cleaning process on the kitchen table and in their sink. Dish soap and a small amount of Clorox were mentioned. Pat said one of the reasons she used Clorox was to kill bacteria to help preserve further deterioration of the money. [Smart lady!] Pat never mentioned fabric softener to me. I have no idea where that is coming from now. ! And of course it was Brian himself who provided me with Pat's phone number. She was living in Missouri at the time, as I recall. I asked Pat where they were when the kids found the money and she said: "mid way up from the water in the sand", which I wrote down. I didn't ask her about Crystal's version of the find because I didn't want to complicate the interview. To this day I still consider Pat a gracious intelligent lady, and I told Brian that when I reported back to him following my calls with his mother. I thanked Brian and told him I thought he was lucky to have Pat as his mother. I doubt Brian can contribute anything about the rubber bands. He may have noted them when the adults noticed them and talked to each other, but Brian was eight years old at the time. Forget Brian giving a forensic description of anything!
  11. Pat may have been on to something! Sharp lady! Benefits of fabric softener on old deteriorating paper money: The obvious reasons for using fabric softener on old money is it's an effective way to keep old deteriorating bills soft and wrinkle-free. It also helps reduce friction between fibers, which creates less static cling and helps protect your old money from wear and tear, making it last longer than if you were to go without. Maybe it was the washing that broke some of Tom's diatoms? Did Tom detect Downy on the 'toms' slip sliding away off the bills ? Or to answer Edward's question, the money have have been too slippery to take on diatoms pouring out from the Ingram tap water. Why didn;t Tom use Downy in his money experiments !? Why did Brian fail to tell Tom about his mother's use of Downy ? Will Ulis and Carr now look for twenties that have never been touched by - Downy ? Is there Downy on Cooper's tie ? Could Downy find DB Cooper ! ? This case never ceases to amaze me. Why was Nestle Chocolate, America's favorite candy, not found on Cooper's tie? Hmmmmmmmm. We may be on to something!
  12. Something is missing ? Why hasn't Darren interviewed Dorwin Schreuder? He has had plenty of time. He said he wanted to? And of course the reason to interview DS is because DS was present/involved in the 1980 excavation at Tena Bar, after the Ingram money was found. There is that sticky matter of a fragment field! Promoter-Media Guy EU made a hullabaloo about the exact 'position' of the Ingram find, EU discounted the whole fragment field subject as nonsense (frags tracked into holes by careless agents digging - as if EU was there personally!) . . . now Darren evidently has put off talking to Dorwin Schreuder about the Ingram Find and Excavation, when he previously said he wanted to, very much? Maybe Darren could talk to EU about Media Promotions and Brian Ingram about Fabric Softener and the Ingram Arkansas Family History , instead ! ?
  13. Yes. Interesting. A bear attack on a person or something out of "Fargo" ? Missing person ? Dismembered person ? Zombie attack? Were the Ingrams there looking for money ?
  14. Fabric softener! and other things? Now that celebrity Mr. Ingram has finally 'recovered his memory' over at the Ulis Cooper Forum on Facebook, maybe Mr. Ingram can finally tell us something of value? For example: where were Brian and Denise when they found the money at Tena Bar ! ? Can Mr. Ingram read a map and point to the location. ? 40 feet from the shoreline or just 20 feet 'near the water's edge', as Crystal Ingram testified to Agent Himmelsbach saying 'the Ingrams have given you, the FBI, the wrong location' ? No prompting from Mr Ulis, NickyB, Agent Carr, Tom Kaye, or Richard Tosaw etc. Pray on the matter. Thank you. Something is wrong with this whole story, or, its one of the greatest coincidences in the history of Mankind. There is something missing in the Ingram's account.
  15. fabric softener ? ok so now its fabric softener. no dish soap. no clorox. Only FJ and Brian know! They were there. Georger never talked to Pat brokered by Brian. My old posts on the matter never happened. Brian was riding a horse on that day at Tena Bar. They cleaned the horse in the sink with ........... fabric softener. Ulis was there. Next piece of Facebook contumely!
  16. Robert H. Edwards's Blog: Great 20th century mysteries December 30, 2022 D. B. Cooper and Flight 305: diatoms "This raises the possibility that if the $20 bill, after its discovery, had ever been washed or rinsed in river water or even tap water, it could have acquired the diatoms that were found in 2020. In my Chapter 12, I wrote that I had needed to assume that the bill and the diatoms had not met up in this way. " "In my mind, therefore, there is no reason to exclude the arrival of the money in some Northwestern waterway on the night of the hijacking." I read Edwards saying he does not support conclusions TK has made regarding diatoms found on Cooper money. I read Edwards as saying TK's diatom research is not comprehensive or correct in that it does not consider all of the options available in the diatoms-money matter. Edwards asks if diatoms on the money could not have come from tap water in the Ingram apartment washing scenario, vs exposure to Columbia river water at Tena Bar ! In other words TK's controls are lacking and do not warrant the conclusions TK made. *In other words: when is a diatom a tap water diatom vs. a Columbia River diatom ? And precisely where was Cooper money exposed to - diatoms ! TK has failed to identify the source of Cooper money diatoms and when TK says 'the money was buried in the Spring based on diatoms' - TK's research does not prove that conclusion !
  17. Question: In an emergency, can Cooper enter the stairwell and close and LOCK the door behind him, to isolate himself from the cabin? Then bail off the stairs at his pleasure?
  18. There was a Moon that evening. ...................... why dont we just default to R99s mandate whatever that currently is. BTW, the battery in his bomb supplies standard voltage to lanterns of the day if he had one, in addition to any flares he has. Sounds like he might have 6+ flares in addition to battery power ?
  19. I agree with your analysis. "no funny stuff or I'll do the job" just sounds like movie lingo. Its comical. Cooper said he wanted things ready when he got to Seattle. Sluggo estimated normal turn-around time was 30-45 minutes on the ground. He might have had a deadline to meet, an accomplice waiting, and wanted some twilight left ?
  20. This is all very important if not crucial imho. The very first account I got back in the day, was from a military person who told me: " Some HIPPIE has hijacked a plane in Washington and is going to parachute into the wilderness with $200k" -- coupled with laughter. I replied: "Maybe he's from Madison (Wisconsin)".
  21. Its somewhat amazing to me that nobody caught on to the fact a hijacking was happening ? Some said later they knew something was wrong. One passenger said he knew it was a hijacking? But Gregory right next to Cooper did not connect the dots? Cooper could have waited until they landed and passengers were off, then announce a hijacking? But Cooper had a different timeline for some reason, that required announcing early. He evidently was ready to accept the risk. Ive never been impressed with Cooper's 'tactical;' savvy, or lack of same. A number of military people Ive known pointed that out. Cooper was depending on his bomb to keep people off his back after announcing a hijacking early, even as he expressed great concern over 'sky marshals' being on the flight ? I believe this is one of the reasons Carr profiles Cooper as an 'amateur' ? It may mean Cooper did not have a military background because his actions were not tactically sound - he left openings you could drive a truck through. His concern about 'sky marshals' was irrelevant because of his own actions and plan! It questions Cooper's management skills.

  23. Robert H. Edwards's Blog: Great 20th century mysteries December 22, 2022 D. B. Cooper and Flight 305: the "Air Force map" revisited The "D. B. Cooper" files in the FBI Vault contain at least six references to a map of the flight path, in five cases explicitly attributed to the US Air Force. These references make it clear that the map was created no later than November 26, 1971 (two days after the hijacking). The references read: December 23, 2022 D. B. Cooper and Flight 305: the "sled test" revisited In the "sled test" flight of January 6, 1972, the FBI, with the assistance of Northwest Airlines and the US Air Force, attempted to replicate the aerodynamic effects of the hijacker's jump from Flight 305.
