Thats a good name for a terrain following suit.

Sheeesh, so a guy goes to a few boogies and gets an unjustified label. Well it paid off you were more current than I was.

You did a great job representing the SoCal, thank you Sara.

now i have one question. since you guys are obviously are all top-notch pilots n'everything, how is it possible that a mate ordered a WS with the manufacturer directly, that didnt even have my #'s at the time? he still doesnt! besides the point, its NOT a prodigy. but a phantom! Six or seven years ago a whole dropezone of "mates" ordered wingsuits at the same time. I think it was the buddy deal, buy one suit half price on the second so how can you refuse. The manufacturer fully knowing that these new customers were fresh nuggets. The intention was that they would seek mentoring from a handfull of jumpers that had gotten the opportunity the year before at a nearby DZ. To the best of my knowledge I was the only one that did. Manufacturers have zero policy enforcement after a product leaves their hands. Its up to you to follow their guidlines.

Those foam aerosol cans have a warning label, read it! Use in well ventilated areas and don't breathe the fumes on purpose.

Ha I bet you are............ sorry no pictures. And you know Patterson is just going to lie about it, or what he remembers of it. Yay, I'm first to post about it . I'm winning!

WS Altitude change after high speed pass

Or what wikipedia refers to as mental masturbation with reference to nylon. BTW not a sport. -
I bet Gene scores better. Besides, he's rocket- fueled. Gene alone maybe but those boots and extra heavy bass guitar keep him squarely on the ground. He is not that good a driver he would blow in a flock.

Define difficult to pull: Was the suit inflating when you relaxed to pull and you could not reach the BOC because the entire rig was pushed off your body? If this was the case all you need was to keep the legstraps tight. The s-fly expert does not a have a wing that covers your hacky. More than 50% of the newer suits do indeed have much more wing material to interfere with direct hacky contact, not the expert. For the record the phantom with back vents pose a danger if a base pouch is installed as the mouth for the back leg inlet is directly in line with the opening for the pouch.

BTW, I'm going to copy wright those terms so BTFU! I love the way it sounds, kinda like the name of a ukrainian porn star. Furnarimonauti,..... say it with flair!

Big deal! But what was your best lap time at willow? now thats what I want to know!!!!!! Just kidding, sounds like a very nice come back. You can still tell us your lap times if you like.

I heard he is bringing a "bunch" of donuts.

Diablo cares a lot he invented the atmonauti and the wingsuit instructor years before and both were stolen by some army dudes and the italians. I swear he should have copywrited all documentation when he had the chance.. I'm never going to do another Atmonauti, I will still do it but I will call it Funarimonuati!!!! Just trying to keep any missplaced fun in its place.

I don't death grip and pull hard on my arm wings. I just hold the out there. The strain isn't from holding them taunt or down but from holding them forward into the on coming air. I mind the curvature of my spine. I keep my knees straight and point my toes. The pitch down you must maintain is more pronounced than on any other suit I remember.

It would, unfortunately, equate to a whole lot of real expensive furniture.

Paul for what its worth I don't do anything tiring with my upper body its actually kind of relaxed, but I have to focus on my lower body.

Before I dumped my S3, couple of em, I made sure that the vampire outperformed it. I compared against several V-1s across many months to make sure it wasn't just hype. Now Ira on the other hand isn't getting the results I'm getting with his vampire, like you he is struggling and he flys better in his S3 but once he figures it out he is going to kill me like when we're both in the S3.

A $1200 suit. Not to mention time. Wingsuits are hell to sew on which is why few riggers touch them if a major alteration is required. Start with a $300 suit or splash a pattern of what you want and try and build one from the ground up ( and you will still have the expensive suit untouched )- but I warned you about time. You, Paul, could probably build a log cabin quicker.

I agree. But I was only replying to a question about which suits had measurably bigger surface area than the V2 - not about the relative flight characteristics of every damn suit out there No worries, Mine was a general reply. Somebody else may get the concept that surface area alone does not define flight envelope. And that the early vampire pilots were not all stooges although some were.

Which one? When you jump with them, its usualy the canopy thats on a direct (deliberate) collision course, heading for your canopy directly after opening... You can recognise him by the pullup cords hanging out of the back of his rig I know which rig it is foo! The question is which crew canopy: Lightning, tri , crew-tri, hybrid-tri ( set up for cRw or set up for FF?), AR-7 etc? And a for the collision course comment thats just CReW.

The Mach1, SuperMach1, PF Stealth, Sugarglider and GS1? Even S3s, phantoms can be flown slower (forward) than the vampire unless the vampire pilot is an ultra lightweight. It has a sharp stall that lets you know it if you slide off the slow side of its flight envelope. The loss of stability and sinking out on the formation got the earlier V-1 pilots a bad rep as not being experienced to fly such a suit. But the truth was if you put that individual in a floatier suit he got "better" and didn't wash out. Who do you blame the suit, the pilot or the flock for not flying fast enough?
-
Paul please don't do it. Making a V-2 a convertible ( slow flight ) is a bad Idea. You may end up ruining the vamp. All of those other suits have thicker airfoils for better slow speed lift than the vamp. You might get a ton of extra drag without the lift you were hoping for. You may just have to have more than one suit. I love my vampire the best its just not the best for everything.

You didn't get laid much in high school did you?
