  1. The binder is Gold Colored - rough surfaced. So only the raised area has something on it - greenish in color -I placed a Dollar Bill over the plastic bag (not directly on the cover) and if fits perfectly. I am doing as you advised and having someone take a look at it. The binder is similar to the binders we use today for presentations. A machine punches lots of retangular holes and puts a plastic binder comb on it. I also have some old books of my own from the 60's that are constructed this way. These books usually vary from 1 inch thick to 1/4 inch thick - you see lots of this type done for charity functions to raise money for a cause. In comparing the books I have from the late sixties - mine are old and crumbling - in need of new binders, but they have been used and read repeatedly. They have always been kept in a closed shelf away from the elements and light. The 2 books Duane put on my shelf - are in excellent condition for their age - about the same age or older than my books - this means they have been stored in a more protected enviroment for a great portion of their existence such as a safety deposit box or chest or container. Only one has water damage. Probably another wild goose chase, but it is something I have been curious about regarding Duane and his secrets. Can't scan it tonight, but will do so in a couple of days. There are two pieces of paper in the books with printing on them. I did compare them to the hand scribbling that Shaffner did on the plane. Comparing scribbling and printing is difficult - but there were some common traits (probably just the times). I found no samples of Tina's handwriting - in the FOIA. Pure Speculation below: If these items came off the plane they could have also belonged to one of the passengers and left in the aft cabin as they were moved forward. One of these books would have been of interest to Weber because of the title and he may have handled it during the flight. He took it because his prints were on it and you can't wiipe prints off of paper. These could also be something that belonged to a prior wife or his mother. His sister said they did NOT belong to the mother who died in 1958. The ex-wife said they didn't belong to her, but as we all know there were many women in Weber's life. 2. I already had it in a plastic bag, but not by itself - will do that now. It had been on the shelf for yrs but that stain was on it when he put the book in my collection. The impression is the size of a bill but I see absolutely nothing to indicate it might be the ink from a bill - I am not sure the ink they use could come off unless part of the bill stuck to the book and he scraped it off. Like I said this is probably insignificant, but I would like to have it looked at. I have crumbs of one of pages in a separate plastic bag. Probably just came out of a storage room that got wet - except the origin of both books is unique (opposite ends of the country). These 2 books maybe entirely unrelated,..just was odd that when I pulled the one out to look at with the little girl in it - he told me to take care of it - it was like a "treasure " to him. Odd for a man to have a specific attachment to that particular type of book - it did not make sense. Hard to say if it was the book or the photo or both. One of the books originated in the Northwest - Or, Wa, CA and Ut. Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber
  3. If that can be considered a profile for Cooper - it is down the line with Weber, but I am sure the FBI and the forum would say NAY, but they didn't know him.. Well-planned crime and execution, with many original elements This is how he sold insurance -plan and execute - improvise if need be. Fearless or unconcerned with high risk. A man had insulted me at a bar in CO, when I tried to get thru to the restroom - all I said was excuse me. Duane asked me why I didn't go to the bathroom - and I told him the man wouldn't let me pass and what he said. Duane got up and went outside to the car and came back with a budge in his leather jacket. Duane had spoke to the musician when he came back into the bar - he was a friend of ours (why we went there). Suddenly he started playing a song Duane requested (for the love of me I can't remember the title right now). It was about dying in a Gun fight in a bar. Duane then sat back down at the bar with me and glared across a long room at this man. Only brief moments later this young man comes up to us and says "Mame, I apologize - I had too much to drink and Sir I am sorry I insulted your wife - I don't want any trouble and I am going home." Duane put his his hand on the young man's shoulder and said "Son, I think that would be a GOOD IDEA" very firmly. After the man left - Duane pulled out this huge screwdriver he had retrieve from the car. The bar was roaring!. The musician and his wife this was their last night at this bar in I believe Greely) as they were leaving to travel the country in their motor home. Around Christmas we recieved a pakage with the return address of "AnyWhere, USA). When we opened it - inside was a screw driver (not as large) dipped in gold paint. On the handle was their names " Rick and Elaine". I still have that screw driver. Quiet, gentlemanly demeanor; but explosive outburst reported with re-fueling snafu. I guess that is the one that gave me goose bumps. He seldom responded in anger, but when he did his point was well taken. Child-like response to seeing the money. I have posted a picture of one of these child like gleeful moments. Savvy - resisted Tina’s probes. I wrote a story about that and then deleted it, because it would be an invasion and private issue regarding someone besides myself or Duane. Let's just say he could take a difficult situation and stage it in a manner that was firm and to the point. He resisted Tina's probes. Just as he resisted mine over the yrs - make a simple generic reply and change the subject...he was GOOD at that. WHY I never knew anything about his past he didn't want me to know. 4. Sluggo and 377 and Orange: I read the post you made, but what you suggest about my research - is already being done - not by or for anyone in this forum. The first steps have been taken - verifying some of what I have claimed and what they personally have come across in their own research and why it involves me. The cost of what you suggested is massive and not something I can afford - plus filtering out personal things that are part of these files - There are somethings that are meant to be private...can you even imaging reading thru - 10,000 pages and documents approx. A great deal has been going on that NO one in this forum knows about and I am NOT at liberty to divulge at this time. 377 - I do not mean to tease anyone about anything. When I put something out there such as the pic of the little girl (let me assure you it is a girl) - I am looking for the opinions of the forum - you guys are the hardest critics out there. What I need to put Duane in a chute is something the FBI will not do for me - or anyone. It is something that is not accessible to the general public. Duane was in the company of smokejumpers (but it will take the FBI to verify this). I have repeatedly asked the FBI to run 2 names and check the SS on a certain person - this person could not be in 2 places at one time - I found relatives of the man who told me point blank that the man was not their relative. I believe that from 1945 to 1949 Duane Weber worked and lived under another name and had a child with a woman under that name hence - why I can't find the daughter. His prison records seem to have wiped out this woman and she is only mentioned in letters to his mother and the family was aware of this woman and child. She did therefore exist and so did the child. Since the woman from the sounds of the letter - was aware of Duane being in prison and had to have known his real name (note this prison record gives an AKA which Carr claimed was a mispelling). The file specifically states AKA. This is the same prison where he was sent to another prison for 1 day in CA. The FBI is the only organization available to access the SS for other name I requested. Carr declined nor told his superiors of this urgent request. What would be his moitive in that action? Self-indugence. When I am gone from this earth he can claim he found Cooper. The people helping me - found more connections to another suspect than I had found. If this turns out to be true - it will be WHY Duane recieve the commutation and had priviliges NOT given to others...and why his Jefferson record is so obscured. The FBI refused to provide copies when I asked. I requested this in 1998 and the FBI had accessed it in 1996. Note that after 30 yrs the detailed records are destroyed and therefore NOW all that is available to the public are the basic recorded file...yet the FBI had the detailed file or it was NEVER available to them.
  5. I am the one who is crazy here - yet I seem to remember the story about WHY she became the ANGEL Udell - because she vanished without a trace, Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber
  6. You didn't look at that picture very well did you? This was the little girl and one of the pages of the book, but I covered up part of the text with the photo ON purpose. I had done it as a document so you could see the water damage. I had planned on making the post and then stay quiet, but that seems to be impossible. Pathetic I am not - I am gutsy and I fight the battle. I may not win, but it won't be because I didn't give it all I got. I am attaching the document again so you can see that it is NOT just the photo. Why would I make a statement about obscuring the text?. 7. I depended on the crew, but the quide was a college student who had only been in WA for 2 yrs. I didn't expect to need a camera but I should have borrowed one from one of the ladies - I just didnt think about it because my extra day in WA without the Crew was arranged on the last moment. You didn't wait for me to download the picture. Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber

  9. Not ALL new information - some old information (except getting verifications) of things I have told over and over to the FBI and others. If you wish to review my 17 ft of documents and go thur them you will find most things there - ALL dated prior to 2000. There are some very suprising new things...that fit with the old things. Want to talk about a FRENCH connection? I state this tongue in cheek because of Carrs insistence that Cooper had a "French Connection". Remember my stating Duane's background over the yrs. His grandparents - German and French descent settled in the Catskills. What he did told me was good about the grandparent. Explains why Duane used many Dutch expression...some could have been French for all I know. Orange..try to understand the point I am making - this part is me making something fit but, with the truth. This is an example of the things I have told the FBI for yrs and yrs - but this a laughable connection. PS: Frankly I think the comic book thing is ridiculous and the FBI has No way of knowing that Cooper was related in any way to these Comic or could read French. Her name was Alice E. Kenyon - Oct 20 1868 and died Oct 5 1945. If anyone really wants to know - check it out. John C. Weber - November 24, 1864 died Jan 11, 1940. Just one of those "co-incidences". What are the ODD's - pretty good since there are only
  10. Rethink this and talk to the old timers who lived there in 1971 if there are any still alive:
  11. Please - Jerry nor anyone else has been privey to the information that the FBI did or did NOT investigate regarding Duane L. Weber! I am sure I was checked out - and I can assure you they didn't even find a parking ticket. Wonder if (redacted) Thomas (a person of interest in the background of Weber) is related to one of our own?
  12. New Developement: Coffelt was brought back up for a reason - I could feel it in my bones (Ole Man Authur). Recieved a very interesting phone call today and an unexpected email. We may have found the connection between Cooper and Coffelt...besides the obvious (Joplin and Lawrence). I first started in on Coffelt in 1997, but Himmelsbach dismissed him and actually Coffelt was way too old to be Cooper and physically not able to have done the jump at that time in his life. Just because he was not Cooper didn't mean he wasn't involved. Information about Coffelt that the FBI thought had gone away forever - has risen from beneath a mass of research (Not Mine) - NO one could be more shocked than I was with this information today...WE may have found the links - Coffelt, Cooper, Brown and Weber...and other crime connections involving 2 of the above. If this proofs out - I believe the truth about Cooper is forthcoming in the next few months. SLOPPY FBI work investigating the background of WEBER...maybe! Unexperience FBI agents...maybe! Insufficient background on Coffelt - maybe? Overlooked background on Weber - maybe? FBI agents not connecting the dots between other suspects and Weber. I gave the FBI several names yrs ago - Thomas, Griffin, Gunn, Wong, Harrison, Knutsen and many many more.. Passing acqaintances, business associates, prison buddies --- the FBI did not check out the list of names I provided, although since then they did acquire the files of one man (a writer) from his widow because they felt the files contained CIA informant information. Duane and this man knew each other - they were stomping the same grounds in CA in the 40's. Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber
  13. Georger, do you remember how insistent you were that Jack Sheehan wrote the Las Vegan Articles - and I told you that he only edited them and they were copywrite by Byron Brown (son of James Brown)? I think you will find this article by Sheehan very interesting. This is from a Newpaper article published in the early part of 2008. Jack Sheehan names names as the FBI tries to solve the mystery of D.B. Cooper By Jack Sheehan Tue, Jan 22, 2008 (2 a.m.) I was intrigued last month when the FBI announced it was reopening the investigation into the hijacking of a Northwest Airlines 727 jet in November 1971. Special Agent Larry Carr in Seattle is leading the investigation of the legendary and oft-romanticized D.B. Cooper skyjacking in hope of solving one of the most intriguing mysteries of the past century. Stories have been circulating recently on the Internet and across AP wires suggesting that anyone with information about the crime should come forward. Well, I’m coming forward today, but first I’d like to know, in the interests of my young children’s college educations, how much the reward is. I mean, I’m a self-employed writer with mouths to feed, so how ’bout it? • • • Who kidnapped Charles Lindbergh’s baby? What happened to Amelia Earhart? Where is Jimmy Hoffa buried? Did Lee Harvey Oswald really kill JFK? Who killed the Hollywood starlet known as the Black Dahlia? Did Marilyn Monroe die by her own hand, or was she killed? Who was the mystery lover in Carly Simon’s hit song “You’re So Vain”? And who was the man mythologized as D.B. Cooper, and did he really get off scot-free with most of the $200,000 in $20 bills he parachuted with into the stormy night somewhere between Seattle and Reno? Those unsolved mysteries have generated countless books and movies and provided fodder for thousands of hours of TV for insomniacs, who never tire of revisiting these questions. When former FBI agent and government official Mark Felt revealed himself in 2005 to be the man called “Deep Throat,” whose insider information kept Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein hot on the trail of the Watergate burglary story and led to the demise of Richard Nixon’s presidency, the airwaves ate up the story for a solid two weeks, but then quickly lost interest. Because the riddle had been solved, all the air went out of the story in the blink of an eye. That’s because it’s more fun for the American public to keep guessing and providing plausible answers to these mysteries than it is to actually be provided the solution. Carly Simon has refused to divulge her vain lover -- be it Warren Beatty or Mick Jagger or Cat Stevens -- for more than 30 years. She teases interrogators with unhelpful clues such as “His name has both an A and an E in it.” And she says, “If I name him, people will quit asking me about it, and that wouldn’t be any fun.” Knowing the answer is a quick fix. Pondering the unknown is a lifetime addiction. • • • To do my American duty, and perhaps add to the fun of chasing down a mystery that more than likely will never be solved, I give this name to FBI agent Larry Carr: Bryant “Jack” Coffelt. That’s who I believe to be the real D.B. Cooper. Here’s why I think Coffelt is their man: In the early 1980s a handsome young writer in his mid-30s named Byron Brown -- a “separated at birth” clone of actor Dennis Quaid -- approached me with what he said was definitive proof that a man he knew, a former prison buddy of his father’s named Jack Coffelt, was indeed the hijacker. Brown didn’t just present a hunch; he provided me with more than 200 pages of careful research he had compiled over the previous eight years. After dissecting Brown’s findings for several weeks and grilling him repeatedly in an attempt to shoot holes in his findings, I eventually became convinced that his conclusions were valid. We condensed his book-length findings into a 12,000-word, two-part article that ran in October and November 1983 in a magazine I edited called Las Vegan. Subsequently, the Associated Press interviewed Brown and me and ran an international wire story on Brown’s findings, which opened the media floodgates. Over the ensuing several weeks, Brown and I must have done 30 to 50 newspaper, TV and radio interviews from coast to coast. We were even screened by producers of the popular “Phil Donahue Show,” wondering whether we’d be willing to fly to Chicago for an appearance. But as the days passed our information got so much media exposure that Donahue eventually thought our story had “gone stale.” I was included in all these interviews as the editor who bought the story and was willing to stand behind its conclusions, but of course Brown was the one who had to answer all the difficult questions. Brown never once buckled on his findings, was never shown to be careless or unprofessional in his reporting, and made believers of nearly all who interrogated him. Though I’d need all the pages of today’s Sun to include every piece of Brown’s compelling evidence, here are a few of the morsels he presented in his articles: • In 1974, Brown and his father made a trip with Coffelt to the skyjacker’s likely landing spot in the Northwest to look for the backpack with money that Coffelt claimed had been blown from his shoulder grip when he left the aircraft. A beacon light, parts of an old Jeep and residue of parachute cord, all of which Coffelt had described to Brown, were found in the exact locations he had pinpointed on a map before their expedition. • Northwest Airlines stewardess Florence Schaffner, who was handed the ransom note from D.B. Cooper and spent most of the flight seated next to him, had rejected dozens of photos and composite drawings of potential suspects that had been presented to her by the FBI. But when Brown tracked down Schaffner in Hawaii years later and showed her Coffelt’s photos, she gasped and said, “Oh my God! Where did you get those? I never thought I would see that face again! It’s him! My God, it’s him!” • Seattle attorney George LeBissoniere, who sat three seats from Cooper on that fateful night, also positively identified him as the skyjacker from those photos. LeBissoniere then added a curious comment. “I identified those same pictures for the FBI six weeks after the skyjacking,” he said. It was known that Coffelt had been a government informant on several high-profile cases in the years before 1971, and some speculate that, to avoid compromising the work he did for the CIA, his identity as the man known as D.B. Cooper has been kept hidden by the government. So there you have it. Jack Coffelt is your boy. Send my reward money care of the Las Vegas Sun. I do not have the link to this article, but it was published in the Las Vegas Sun. And while I’m debunking, I’ll give you 5-1 odds that Warren Beatty is the subject of Simon’s hit song. (The only other person who knows for certain is TV producer Dick Ebersol, who bought exclusive rights to the information at a Martha’s Vineyard charity auction in 2003. But he had to sign a confidentiality agreement, so he’s not talking.)
  14. Larry Carrs profile is ridiculous:
  15. I am saying Cooper was a low end errand boy if he was involved in any type of covert or CIA operations. He did what he was told to do - no questions asked. Be it the cause or the money - only he would be able to answer that. During those yrs I documented Weber's many unusual leaves of absence from his wife...leaving her with plenty of money and returning with much more. The strangest of all of these "leaves" was one when he was supposedly in prison and he takes her to Washington DC with him. Originally I thought this was alcohol consumption on the part of the teller, but I have now heard the same story from a very reliable source. As for the Skyjacking it is my own personal opinion Cooper was acting on his own, but what do I know? The wallet? No one knows that but Cooper and the FBI....neither are talking - obviously since Cooper is dead But the stewardess would know how he paid for the drinks unless they were on the house due to the circumstances. Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber
  16. I have made a choice not to even read the posts - when I need to say some thing I will go to the last post and reply with TO ALL. No one will ever find Cooper's bones, or his black nylon rain coat, or any of the buttons or his shoes.
  17. Let me use your expression B'shit. I have told you that I never met Jerry, I was in WA in 2001 with the crew. I met Himmelsbach and one of the Fazio brothers - that is it . I cannot possilbly know what Tina and the others went thru and do NOT compare my journey to theirs. I will say this again as nice as I can. The way you and some others take my words and twist them so as to not resemble in anyway what I was trying to say - is why I do not think anyone would want to come forward regarding a suspect or with new evidence. This is an example of how they can expect to be treated. This whole conversation came about from (My voicing an opinion) about statements made by Bruce regarding Tina that others and I did not feel were appropriate and then suddenly it is about me again. Go figure! Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber
  18. "I myself know why Tina stays out of this - the twisting and turning of the facts and statements. There is no peace - everyone wants to make their own statement and give their opinion of the person or persons making any claims. It would destroy her life - been there done that!"
  19. Astounding! You talk like you are Tina Mucklow, were one of the principals on board flight #305, and have been struggling for years because YOU were hijacked on 11-24-71! Georger that is not fair. My life has been altered by his confession and what I have been thru the last few yrs. NO, I wasn't on that plane and I cannot even imagine the fear they must have felt. I am only talking about the media aftermath and how if affects lives. Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber
  20. Tina Mucklow and the investigation: The media today and yesterday and yrs ago - these guys are looking for a story. None of them have the time to give one story their complete devotion...they have to make a living. This goes for writers of any kind and the investigative forces involved. I myself know why Tina stays out of this - the twisting and turning of the facts and statements. There is no peace - everyone wants to make their own statement and give their opinion of the person or persons making any claims. It would destroy her life - been there done that! If a private enitity had access to all the files and all the evidence (not a public entity - but a private investigative force with unlimited financial backing, but small enough to provide any witness with complete privacy) this "event" would no longer be unsolved. Since NO one was ever reported MISSING that might have been Cooper and there were lots of suspects then and now....somehow someplace somewhere - someone missed a very important piece of evidence or clues. Since the FBI has been so secretive regarding details in the past - that is enough to lead the public to think - Covert or Cover-up (please note - covert and cover-up do not mean the same thing). The passing over of information made available to the current FBI force within the last 13 yrs - also indicates - agents with the technology of today available to them either - are too dependent on the technology and were NOT alotted the time and budget to investigate the details of the suspects...that means interviewing individuals who should have been interviewed and also check the background of those persons. When a person of interest claimed a suspect was with them on the day of the crime - those agents did NOTHING and spoke with NO ONE else to verify this...other than maybe someone else within the household with NO CHOICE and dependent (emotionally, physically or financially) upon the person making the statement. A family event that occured 26 yrs prior - and clear across the US was NEVER verified. It would have been a simple matter to have had a couple of other "witnesses" to that event who lived in the vicinity of the "event" to swear or produce evidence that this person was indeed present at that event in 1971. Now it has been 38 yrs - a life time for some people - and the FBI did NOT verify the statement.
  21. One irony of Jo's concern for the Raleigh cigarette butts, since Jo says Duane smoked Raleigh, is it may very well have been swabs from the butts or the butts themselves and genetic evidence from these, that ruled Duane out! So
