That statement is not true. I try to be truthful in everything I say and do not change the story as you put it - I try to tell what I am thinking regarding things I learn from the forum and other input - together with what I know. 13 yrs of assimilating information is a lot for someone my age - I am sure I have made lots of mistakes, but not deliberately. I do the theories and suppositions just like everyone else - that is not changing my story - after I play with an idea - and it doesn't work with what I know - I go back to what I do know. Thinking OUT LOUD gets me in trouble, but that is what it is...and nothing more. As for my being tired - IT has NOTHING to do with Jerry. Hopefully the post I just made about what I have tried to tell for yrs may explain a lot to you and to others. No one really looked or investigated anything I gave them. I hold on tight to the hope that someone will find something or let go of a piece of information that will bring an end to this or the FBI will shows me what they have that PROVES Duane was not Cooper except of a tie. I provided the FBI with the story I was told about a tie in the possession of Duane Weber...but I had no verification the story was true. I believe the story I was told is true - because the tie was NOT an issue at that time. The DNA made it an issue. The FBI never addressed the story. I am truely tired - too tired to go for milk and sodas - easier to do without them. I suspose that alternate web site is Sluggo's. I can't even get the pics to show and he micro manages the posts.... In Tosaw's book that number was recorded as one of the bills: L72 525838B 63A Next to the last page. I am guessing you are saying that is now recorded as one of the bills found. Think about this that number is approx 260 from the last recorded bill - that makes it counting to $5200 from the bottom or the top of the stack depending on which way the money was packed and recorded. This made me wonder how many bills where in a pack and did the FBI make public the OTHER numbers they found. Was there 100 $20's in each rubber band? Or was it less or more. I do not imagin banding any less than 100 in a stack, but who know - I am not normal. What I am trying to find out is how random are the numbers of the bills they found. Are they dispersed thru out the entire range of numbers given to Cooper or only on the last numbers recorded. This should be an indicator of - and if all of the bill were in the Columbia or if it was only certain packets. Does anyone understand what I am trying to say and ask - remember I do not assimilate information the way everyone else does (just call me crazy) and perhaps this has already been discussed or investigated by the FBI. Absolutely do not have a problem with anything - the least of which is Jerry or his accusations. In my ramblings recently I got to thinking real hard about the places Duane took me to - something he said but, I need to talk to someone who REALLY knows Wa and I don't mean Jerry. "My Baboon" talked about Indian burial mounds or something like that - could someone post pictures of Indian burial grounds in WA - not a scenic trip thing, but one that a hunter or developer came upon and didn't want to disturb - such as the one's it was pointed out that the timber industry would not tell about. I need to see what these looked like - could they be marked with a Rock that sort of looked out of place in the area it was in? Or are these rocks just natural in a field or orchard or wooded area around the LaCames area? If an area was cleared for farm land or an orchard would they not have cleared ALL of the rock - why leave ones that are maybe 12 x 12 and larger - and they were spread out over approx one acre - looked hauntingly similar to a cementary with large trees abounding in and around them - actually a very pretty place. I describe this place to Jerry yrs and yrs ago - only to be told it didn't exist....this is the first time I have referred to it as anything other than what may have been an old homestead (no remanents of a building) or orchard. Sort of odd that this clearing, Orchard or whatever, was at the top of this hill with a creek running down the East side of it. The perfect resting place...so peaceful. As for me - for all it matters, I think you do count - logically and illogically - reasonable and unreasonable - what is written and what is not - what is fact and what is theory and what is myth? You explore all the information and make decisions or make debates. It is people like you who will discover Cooper - some will miss it first or second or third time around and later who knows what they will find. "My Baboon" might even have stumbled across a clue or two he didn't recognize, but in the end the results will be "Who was Dan Cooper?" Who will debate this 20 yrs from now and who will they think is Cooper? It could be very possible that someone found Coopers "money" and decided to just keep it, but threw some in the river to make sure everyone thought he died. Perhaps this person (male or female) was able to take it to Puerto Rico or someplace like that a little at a time ... wash it in the Casinos and go back to the states. When was hunting season in 1971 and 1972? What kind of game do they hunt? Did they have to have a hunting license? Maybe a hunter or fisherman came upon the money, but no body and decided to keep the money - but throw some it in a river so no one would know what he had done. I toned down because I am tired. It had nothing to do with Jerry or Shelly because - I know I have done nothing wrong and that I have consistently told the same story yr after yr and with some new developments. I have had to play with different senarios and with new information and the theories (as everyone one else in this case had done) - none of those constitute purgery and none of those constitue a lie on my part. For Jerry's information - I have never taken a dime for the documentaries I did. One group paid for me to go to WA...that was their idea. Another time the producer bought me lunch. In 13 yrs I have not taken compensation nor have I attempted to do a Wanna Be Book. By the way, I keep wondering why Jerry is so upset. He has always claimed he was trying to find Cooper or his money, yet he refused to let the public know the sites I told him about do exist. That was the phone you continued and never relented on "You Lie" "Admit You Lied" "You had NO witnesses for your trip" "You lied - those places do not exist". Well, maybe so because if the story I was told about "a tie" and if it was true then we would have lots DNA from other related persons - with NONE of them being Cooper. Frankly I don't think they could have gotten DNA from the tie that would have been acceptable because it was handled by too many individuals over the last 37 yrs and they did not use plastic gloves on most things back in those days unless they thought they had prints on it. If they got several DNA''s and some were related - they have to put some stock in what I told them. Just had to put my 2 cents in. I do not understand how roots enters into this at all unless the money was on land prior to being "buried"in the river bank. I will quote you here Kaye " I figured they were either from roots or some small critters". The next quote from Kaye "Its not part of the focus of our research and hence it will not be in the paper". Would someone tell me WHY this study by the "Dream Team" was done at all if they didn't take EVERYTHING ABOUT THE MONEY INTO CONSIDERATION. S Snow I cut some of the post out just to keep it a bit more brief. Did you know that long term mole on paper and cloth becomes holes? Something that is stored in a damp place will eventually rot and that was the process going on with the money. I agree that the insect thing needs to be addressed because of this. This does not look like termite damage, but maybe something microscopic (that could be water or moisture borne). Surely the experts have already studied why and can explain the deterioration process. You MADE many claims in that horrible phone call where you called me a liar over and over and over and making threaths in an attempt to force me to say I was lieing. Make Sure that Kaye has samples from those area - especially the sample from above Winterly - east of Winterly - lots of clay there and the the busines down below there on a bardge - now that would be an unusual chemical. Also all of those bucket that the man kept in his opened garage.... they held any tthing from feed, plaster, paint, metal part,...he never threw away anything and the container held many many things. It would be a wise idea to go to the MT Hood area and get some soil samples there - very wise. Also go to the area of the tower and shed - since it has been developed the chemistry there would be changed. You guys have been busy bees lately. I can't keep up with all the technical talk and I will not try - WAY over my head. Just want to say "Thank You" everyone -including my BABOON, for not causing a lot of static lately regarding Duane Weber or my views as they may be. You have to realize I cannot make what I held in my hands or saw with my own eyes vanish from my memory. Know this - what I have told over the yrs was told in 1996 when I contacted the FBI. How can one DUMB broad come up with a story that explaines so many things and have only been to Wa twice in her life and not one of those time behind the wheel of a car. That second time was in 2001, 4 yrs after I had told the FBI the same story several times. How could I possibly correlate the story I told the FBI in several conversations within 24 hrs of finding out DAN COOPER was D.B. Cooper? There is no way - I am not a genius nor am I a story teller and I had very little knowledge of the crime at that time. The more I learned the more I was convinced Duane was Cooper...the FBI is responsible for my continued efforts. Had the agent of record have not lied to me 9 yrs ago this month with my holding evidence to the contrary in my hands - I would have let it go at that time - March of 2000. Because of this forum I have learned many things and I have shared many things. Seems like you all are back on the "butts" and in my own way I told you all after the Tie "evidence" was introduced that the FBI was using contaminated evidence and evidence they could not prove was worn by Cooper. Remember this statement I sent out below. DNA EVIDENCE I have to question the validity of DNA testing done to exclude individuals concerning the D. B. Cooper incident in 1971. In the past 36 years the evidence may have been compromised. Considering that the study of DNA did not exist until the late 1980’s, it is highly unlikely that the evidence was preserved in a manner that would have protected the DNA. I therefore, would question any DNA evidence that excluded anyone without further investigation in what items were used to extract DNA and VERIFICATION that the CHAIN OF CUSTODY was maintained throughout the last 36 yrs, when dealing with and handling this item. The only DNA evidence I consider valid would be the cigarette butts. BUT, the FBI can’t find them. There are too many questions unanswered. My own limited research and what Duane told me - leaves me with little doubt he was D.B. Cooper. October 27, 2007 Now there are individuals stating that if Cooper should come forward the likelyhood of the tie convicting him without the "butt" evidence - could be conceivable. I still stand by my theory that Duane retrieve part of the money in 1979 - what it was buried in and where it was buried is all theory on my part - I have never claimed otherwise. I have went back to the places he took me and asked myself what I would do if I had been him and why did he take me to those specific place and what did they mean to him. I never knew where he went that morning he left me at The Dalles and I figured he went down toward Mt. Hood, someone else thought he might have gone on into Washougal but I disposed of that ideal since Duane almost missed the turn. What is bugging me at this point is that ridge he pointed out and WHERE did he go that morning. Maybe to look up an old girl friend or find his daughter - but he came back soiled...where could he have gone from The Dalles and get back in about 5 hours? Looking at a map is no solution and the only time I was there was with him in 1979. It was suggested he went into Vancouver - I discarded that idea for obvious reasons - Why stay at The Dalles? Because it was accessible to someplace he had to go....alone. Anyone out there live in The Dalles area or near-by have any suggestions? How far is Mt. Hood from The Dalles -is there a place there someone could bury something and be able to find it 8 yrs later? What about the construction of that Dam - when was that built? Why did he mention the land after we crossed over to Hwy 14 on the WA side - he said something about Indians? The FBI nor anyone else seemed to want to investigate a group of guys who where known to jump in the Mt. Hood area in the late 40's. Wish I was able to make another trip out there - but driving has become something I don't like to do. Flying and then Driving a rental is impossible for me - they put all the shifts in the middle of the car and not on the steering wheel...everytime I went to put the car in reverse I was turning on the windshield wipers....that was 10 yrs ago. Is that likely to be the case in the near future? If what Jerry told me is true, I doubt it, I would hope they could find it in themselves to look at everything I have - pictures and things I have not made public before passing final judgement saying No Duane was Not Cooper. Sometimes it takes only a small thing said or visually seeing an insignifcant item to bring back a lot of lost memories. I hope that day comes - when I will be able to sit down with both of them and maybe to meet the co-pilot, as I also have a couple of things to ask him privately - even though he did not see Cooper. I want to play a tape of an very angry Duane Weber- his voice was compromised by a procedure they had done on him making his voice very raspy, but maybe the way he expresses things might help...it is so old and fragil I am afraid to try to play it - will need to be done by someone who could make a copy and patch it if necessary. My theory: You can pick up something and view the contents without reading it because it brings back old memories - because of the title he did this and it became necessary the book go with him, because his prints where on it. My Theory: What he did with the money and where he buried it - I can only go from the things that happened on that trip. Remember he disappeared for several hours in The Dalles and then again in Seattle plus his time alone on the Columbia across from the Portland Airport. How much did Cooper take with him? How many places did Cooper bury the money or store the money. Not all in one basket. If he feared the book had his prints on it - he took it with him. Maybe he buried it with the chute at that tower - the one in the woods he took me to and said he buried something there one time. Whatever that was - he had already retireved yrs prior to 1979 as the tower and shed was gone...because he thought he had turned down the wrong road. In 1995 when he was in the hospital and mention the bucket and not being able to find it - that was the day after his confession which I failed to understand and his anger at my not understanding what he was talking about. They started to put dope into him to calm him down after the raging statement "Oh F---, Let it Die with Me!" The statement about putting money in a bucket was made approximately 28 hrs after they started the drugs. His whole demeanor changed with the drugs - he was talking to dead people and seemed happy - that is what drugs do to you...so I have read. The Duane I knew, would never put all his eggs in one basket. I do know that book must have spent yrs in a safe deposit box under the name John Collins - along with the bag, the stub, and the ticket until 1990...when this "stuff" came into being in my life. The airline ticket I did not see until the yr. before he died. The stub and bank bag in 1990. The books sometime after 1990 and before the end of 1993. That Question I will not answer until I sit down with the witnesses Tina and Florence..behind closed doors. Since one of the individuals is supposedly upset with me per - Jerry Thomas - I may never get that opportunity. I NEVER revealed to anyone how to contact Tina and supposedly someone contacted her thru information only I had - I did NOT provide or make available that information to anyone in all of these yrs. Perhaps that was part of Jerry's break Jo down tactics - like telling me I was lieing with every answer I gave him or told him. Jerry claimed that I was the one who said the pic of the little girl was Tina - and that is why she was upset with me. I didn't say that - Sluggo did. If the raincoat was the kind I think it was - yes, some of the pockets would have been large enough in those days to put these books in - also they are flexible, but do not appear have been bent much at any given time. ========================= Your answer lies within the question. No this is not a riddle. I only saw Duane READ one book while I knew him (the Norjak book). He possessed these books and at one time he may have been interested in them to pass the time while on the plane. Before I mentioned this - the title on one specific book would have been reason enough for Duane Weber to have put the book in his hands and gone thru it. The title was associated with a strong memory of his childhood. ======================= There are NO copyright dates in these. Yes, they are printed material and the most important one is the smaller book with a gold cover and black binding comb - this one had the picture in it and with the water damage. This one book seems to be much older than the larger book. The thicker book appears to be a 1960's book...due to some references in it. Silly Baboon - you know who he is, and I have no idea who Bruce Lee is. Who is Bruce Lee? This is the recounting of the DUANE WEBER trip in 1979 Perhaps a container near the river EAST of where Winterly park is currently located. That chemical marker could be leaching from the container or the trees growning there or from residue the container once held. There is one other possible place the money was buried and that would have been where Duane went that morning he dissapeared from the The Dalles for 5 1/2 hrs returing soiled. This means it was more than likely buried inland - perhaps toward Mt. Hood. I have had others speculate he could have drove all the way to Vancouver, but that didn't make sense because why would he push for us to make The Dalles - because where he had to go was not too far from there - the Dalles was probably the closest. If he had gone onto Vancouver that day he would not have been able to take me on that sentiment trail he wanted to "live over one more time". I do not know where he could have gone from The Dalles that morning - but it definitely was not into Washougal were we went later that day - because he almost missed his turn since the intersection had changed on Hwy 14 to get to Washougal...that is a red flag he had not been there earlier that morning. I will go to a part of that trip I didn't think too important but now in retrospect I think it might be very important: ATTENTION MR. KAYE He mentioned Mt. Hood and the Hood River - but actually I think he had already been there earlier that day - the other option is on Highway 14 on the Washington side - He mentioned how rugged the country was there - and pointed out a ridge - telling me there was a cave of sorts there ....it was at this point he said there is nothing but forest for a few miles. For your information Georger - I do not rely on their Gossip - I refute things that are told to me, but I do try to consider them. I know you know who one these guys is. It is my giving one particular person lots of information and then to find that he lied to me about his involvement in this WA trip and told me he was going on a trip out of the country. The other man is worse - he comes to me with a weird story - I listen and some of it makes sense but after I take in what he has said - it seems too far out and then I find he is working with the FBI. More of the diffusion - anything to stall me and keep me quiet. You are not a a Monkey - you are a mean old Baboon.
