Georger states: I was raised on a farm - our cattle did not destroy the areas around our ponds nor our fields. A bull on the rampage could be very destructive. Also I was under the opinion the cattle were only put on the shore for short periods of time - not for a season as you are suggesting. Remember they made this area open to the public for a fee so any keeping of cattle there was very very temporary. I think you are trying to take a mute point and run with it. The cattle are not mentioned because they weren't on the river for any extended period of time - There is also the problem of feed on a beach and that the area was NOT large enough to "run" more than a few cattle and actually it would be considered confinement in those day because of the small area. Also, cattle have this tendancy to venture into the water - and then they get bogged down in a pond and in a river washed off their feet and drowned...they must be herded in any water crossing. I have help my father pull many a cow out of a pond and on my grandfathers farm if the river was going to run or flood the cattle were taken to higher ground. I DO NOT believe that the cattle were confined to the "bar" for any "extended" time. Maybe for a few daylight hours or prior to taking to market or during a heavy snow for feeding and watering. I did not understand any of those posts regarding the random thoughts in this thread. I have one focus and only one focus and that is solving this case. Now to go completely off Topic or so it will seem to most of you, but it may be important. Digest This: A child was born around 1969 or 1971 to a 16 yr old girl named ----. The child was "given" to a couple in Carolinas. The couple who received the child were military and friends of Duane Weber aka John Collins and his common-law wife. We do not think a formal adoption took place. The woman who bore the child died in the last few yrs - she spoke of her child and the fact that she knew Duane Weber was Cooper. You are thinking how is this connected to Cooper? Right! The mother of this child told me she knew Duane was Cooper (by the way I can prove that even though she is deceased). She mentioned the child just before stating this. Her mother had also told me about "giving" the child to a couple in the Carolinas. Certain other subjects who have been mentioned over the yrs regarding Cooper - adopted or where given a child in this same period. This was a flash when we were studing the other "subjects". May have been unrelated, but if the child was this child - it could just be another co-incidence. We are not actively pursuing this issue, but thought you might find it interesting. Excellent. Lets talk Sunday night regular time if that's ok. All is well here. Busy but well... A statement made by one of the FAZIO brothers who was at the river in 2001 when they did the film talked about the cattle. The cattle had been run on the beach in the time prior to the find - on a regular basis. Something he said gave me the impression the cattle had been there in recent weeks prior to the find. That would have been winter so I don't know why they would have them on the river in winter...........but they must have had their reason. There was also been a recent rise in the water due to a big SNOW melt (1980). Maybe the water/pond in the fields or holding areas were frozen. There had been a recent snow melt in the high areas which caused minor flooding on the river - this was stated in Tosaw's book and at the river that day in 2001. I do not remember how they classifed it - rising water or flooding...but water had risen over the area the money was found in recent wks prior to the find (stated by Fazio). Just relaying what I heard that day on Tena's Bar. I did NOT stay with the crew all of the time...so I am sure other things where said. Since Jerry "claims" to be friends with the crew - I am sure they have notes or tapes of the conversations made. Maybe they didn't think any of it worth the storage to save. " The statement regarding the fragments is pretty forthright and maybe so obviously no other testing was done. Same logic applies to your alleged proof that Duane was Cooper. If crucial evidence you hold back disappears then POST IT NOW. In 2000 when the picture of the 3 guys was available I did send or tried to forward it to an individual. This is when I knew nothing about forums or how to post or how to do anything other than a simple search and print and do simple emails. I didn't have a clue how to attach a site or a picture. The same logic does not apply to this current situation, because it is not just ME, but others who are in possession of this material. If it disappears then it cannot just be chaulked up to the vivid imagination of one crazy old lady who was but 60 yrs old at that time. My focus has been Cooper ever since I got a computer in 2000. On rare occasions while searching on other sites for anything related to Cooper, I would find something of interest to read as a diversion or something out front in the media - such as Jon Benet. I may even have made a comment or two, but did not stay or debate. Being a mother that one touched my heart. I do not think a "Cooper Freak" means not taking R&R. but being focused on Cooper. If someone is a regular poster regarding other crimes then then they are "Media Hounds" or "Unsolved Crime Hounds"...titles I just made up for the post. WEBER with the letter sent to me in 1998 and we all know that the investigation on Weber at that time had NOT been completed - even in March of 2000 and statements recorded by the media regarding Agent Carr since that time. She needs at the very least to update the information she gives on Weber when inquiries are made. If she wants to stand by her statement I suggest she listen to ALL recorded conversations (most importantly the conversations in early 2000) that Agent Hope had with me...I am sure the FBI must make some record of such conversations. NOTE: I cannot divulge confidences and will not do so. These findings are not mine, but the work of many others devoted to bringing this to an end. Point of interest: McNeil Island Camp (prison). Are any of you aware that in 1944 the prison was over crowded and they opened a camp - at Columbia, WA (wherever that is). Prisoners were evaluated by institution classification and prisoners (Eligible for Parole in One Day) were not placed into the McNeil population, but sent to this camp and other temporary camps. Draft dodgers (among other as listed above) where housed in these temporary camps. The camps consisted of clearing land, cultivation, orchards, dairies, forestry and fire protection. Transfers where made with "special consideration" for utilization in these camps. This consideration included being transferred to camps outside of WA. This mean nothing to any of you other than just trivial information, but remember that Duane's McNeil file read "Eligible for Parole in One Day". Of course the FBI did not know I had that information. The prison destroys all individual work detail or assignment after 30 yrs...... Jo, about this elusive picture: Jumpsuits can be ordinary coveralls. Did the picture show parachute gear? if so, how do do you know it was parachute gear and not some kind of pack used by ground fire fighters? I have found zero evidence that state prisoners were recruited, trained or used as smoke jumpers. I am keeping an open mind, but so far no evidence has been presented to me to support your claim on this issue. 377 The guys in that photo had on parachutes not just jumping attire. It mentioned jumptraining for these cons who volunteered and it even gave their names...it was a very short article. They had volunteered, but I do not know if the program ever got beyond that...it was definitely Folson or SanQuentin. I corresponded with a San Quentin Historian, but he also found nothing. Maybe God playing games with me in 2000. It was March of 2000 and was after I had my altercation with Ralph Hope the FBI agent - who told me UN-truths even as I held government paper work stating the contrary...regarding some pertinent facts about Weber. NOW it is all connected - thanks to this forum and especially to Snowmman and the hard work of so many who are not in the forum for their hard work. Attention Snowmman and 377: Night Halo's were done way before 1967 - I have this in writing in one of the reports - I have been looking for it for hours. The date I had been reading did not correspond with my notes - and I had just recently read the report. I have 4 ft of papers stacked on my dining room table right now.... been sorting for hours. They are mentioned in the JMWave and Cuba project (Mongoose) - and that started in 1962. I have a book and research on this at another location - so I will check on that this wk. I am sure that one of you with all of the electronic technology will find it before I do. I just told you were to look for it. 377: Think about this - if someone contributed to a war effort in a covert operation or CIA covert action and was promised compensation, would they not also be just as angry at the Pentagon (or whoever was making the promises), such as Wilson. The covert groups where more likely to have retaliated against the government after not receiving compensation or acknowledgement. In fact the government with all of its secrets would quickly have covered the jumpers tracks - which THEY in MY opinion did. It would have been necessary to eliminate ALL involved - the government was not going to take any chances. That paper sack (whatever was in it) and tie left the necessary messages. Although the FBI may not have known what was going on they got their directions regarding what they found on that plane from Hoover. Some have paid heavy penalties with their lives, and later encarcerated for unrelated incidents. I don't mean just the peons, but those holding office in our government offices. What comes around goes around. Recent CIA disclosures by some of these prior officials and others has resulted in the government declassifing information that has inadvertantly pointed out who Cooper may have been. Perhaps Cooper was doing what could well be a death mission and by happen chance survived. I saw NOTHING in his bio that qualifies him to make judgement on that money and where it has been. I am sure from the way he spoke to me in reply to one of few PM's I sent him (offering unfilter information about where the money could have been) - that he is going to try to slaughter the truth. He does NOT have an OPEN mind and/or he has been manipulated to keep the lid on Cooper. More than likely the later since he is not CIA or FBI or an investigator of crimes. These super intelligent individuals with all of the degrees and credits are very easy to manipulate when it comes down to digesting common sense information. I should know 1st hand - I come for a family of these well educated, mulit-degreed, scientific, structured and politically correct individuals. I expect this film is the " Lid Lock" in the Cooper Case so the FBI and our government get the focus off of Cooper and their inadequate investigation, then they can get about business as usual - screwing up. I hope the documentary surprises me and is going to be factual and open, but until then I remain a skeptic...and a pessimist or AS THE FBI AND OTHERS VIEW ME - a limited brain cell PEST. (Dumb blonde). PS: The filtered information about the money, the water and possible areas comes from the source - man on the ground. My experience with the source is first hand and it has NOT been pleasant. You may not think so, but come and see what I have and talk to me - you will realilzed there is something there. Duane had a well versed secretive man able to control others and what was going on around him. This may simply be a survival skill acquired from his many imprisonments. I took a nap today and had the weirdest dream I have ever had (note I normally DO not nap - so this was a very unusual). There was a small community - shopping and restuarant like those built near the beach. There is a policeman in this dream - I guess he might have been an off duty security. I had started to go to the park area but decided to explore the shops - NOW, I said this was an unusual dream. Duane walks up to me - and I remark" You are alive - where have you been?" The man I am looking at is not really as old as Duane was when he died, but a younger gray haired version of what Duane might have looked like as he aged but with out the kidney disease - there was no extended abdomen, but his height had shrunk as it does with age. He was wearing a medium blue jump suit (the dinky kind). He answers he me "Around, mostly in the park area." I comment that I have been there and never saw him, but that many times I would see someone in a passing car and think he looked like him. I believe I am thinking he is homeless. I seem to be calm in all of this and think he might be hungery and asked him if he would like to get something to eat. We go in to what appears to have been like the old narrow hole in wall restuarants, but we go thur a gate (note this is a dream). For some reason I am distracted either by the management or something, but it happens very quickly. Duane is not there nor is my purse. Immediately I head toward the entrance telling management that the man with me stole my person. Just after I past the gate I look back and there is my purse hanging on the gate. Opening the purse I find that my check book and wallet are gone. Note: this kind of theft was one that Duane was noted for in his many crimes - forger of checks and use of credit cards...until they are maxed out. I am thinking I can't tell the police a DEAD man took my purse. I didn't get a chance to ask him about Cooper and what all had been going on since he "died". I head for my car because I can't find the keys - dream ends. When I woke up I wanted to talk to someone about the dream, but I reviewed it over and over in my mind. Since the park I associated with the homeless and I had this one particular man on my mind - wondering what I could do to help him. Duane was WARNING me, reminding me how quickly a good con can take you to the cleaners - to BEWARE - that I am making myself too visible. Since I was going to write down the dream before I forgot it - I am doing it here. Thought you guys might need a little diversion from all of this serious investigative work you are doing. Please do not try to analyze that dream - it was JUST a dream...I have been told stories about how he used other women in his life and at one time he did run a couple of my cards up - but he paid them off and I closed one of the accounts immediately. Guys, I am trying my best to bite the bullet and keep quiet, but I want everyone in this forum to think back to when I posted the pic from Page 49 of a SOLDIER of FORTUNE Magazine dated Dec. 1994. This magazine was the ONLY item in a safety deposit box owned by Duane L. Weber (one, I as his wife did not know he had). I found the receipt in his belonging and went to the bank with the will. Since the box did not have my name on it the bank did not allow me to view the box, but brought this magazine out and told me" this is all that was in it". He had to have placed this magazine in the box in Dec. 1994 or by Feb of 1995 just before he became too ill to drive on his own. A yr later when I found out who Dan Cooper was - the magazine didn't seem important and I had placed it with ALL of the tax returns he had kept from 1968. It was always something I pushed into the back of my mind. Months ago a post in the thread caused me to pulled it out and read it from cover to cover again trying to figure out why this magazine was in that box. I don't really remember the re-actions of the thread, but it is out in front of me again, because of the recent posts. Yrs ago I was contacted by a man who told me that John Collins was removed from Jefferson Federal Prison and place in to a "program". I didn't believe the man. but the FBI never provided me with the Jefferson records and all I got was what this forum guided me to obtain which is detailed in the thread. I tried to obtain the detail work logs and reports which I could never get because after a period of time those no longer exist (30 yrs). Prior to the expiration of that 30 yr period, I had made several exchanges with the prison - and got 3 different stories regarding John C. Collins and others. The story in the magazine centers around BuDop March 1967 (supposedly Duane was in prison). The picture of the BuDop encampment taken from the air resembles a painting Tony Wong had done of a "place" he and Duane obviously spent some time at. (this conclusion was reached by conversation I over heard between the two of them). Names mentioned in this article are: Lieutenant John "Jack" Throckmorton, son of Colonel Throckmorton NOT General Throckmorton. Chief Warrant Officer Jerry Johnson, "China Boys" Staff Sargeant Roger Haliberg, Sergeant First Class J.W. Edgell Captain Stewart (they never give a 1st name). Master Sergeant Charles Hosking, HALO jumps with the dummy device (barrel), The Green Berets knew the SADM (small atomic demolitions munition), Captain Stewarts first name is never given. The reason I am reminding you of this is because this thread has gone back to Vietnam. I don't know what the damn magazine means, but you JUST do not put a magazine in a Safe Deposit box. Considering the subject matter and the atttached photos and the mention of HALO's done at night...WHAT was Duane's connection to this? I find it difficult to even think of Duane in terms of actually being in Vietnam - but maybe having been associated with someone mentioned or pictured. The group picture states that only 2 Americans survived the ambush and 1 of those is named. So what I am getting at - did Duane know someone mentioned in that article or the writer John Mullins? He was TOO connected to that Magazine. It was 1994 when I saw that airline ticket. The house was broke into after I sold the VAN. What was with that Wallet the new owner found? Why did the man tell 2 different stories about where he found the wallet. Did Duane leave a note with the wallet telling me where something was hidden in the house. When the house was broke into NOTHING was taken that I was aware of, but the handles to the fire irons where all loose (I noted this because I went to set them up straight). Duane always said Hide it in Plain Site. Did he leave a note directing me to a treasure and someone else thought it was money - could it have been the airline ticket or one of the $20's? I will always have these question in my mind - till the day I die. Why did he tell me anything? Why did he hide his past? If I told you about another thing I found I would be called a liar or delusional. I was too stupid to see what was right in front of me and something I had in my possession - I didn't know the value of it because I didn't know who Dan Cooper was. Stupid Naive Dumb me. Always taking things and people at face value and never asking too many questions. All that is left now is unanswered questions and I am afraid to trust anyone with everything - I am tired of being called delusional - I am tired of trying to tell people what I held in my own hands and saw with my own eyes. Our economy is in the gutter, our people living on the streets while one illegal uses up 2 millon dollars in medical expense because they can't deport him. Americans born in this country who go and beg for work everyday - so they might have something to eat before they go to bed (in abandon trailers, tents, under the pavilion). I have taken sheets to the homeless and mosquito spray - this is horrible - this is not the America I ever thought I would live to see. The jobs are given to illegals whose child was born in America (they get an address because they got a kid) - so they get to stay and these other men and women who depended on these jobs are starving in our streets and when they are offered a meal they must sit through 1 hr of preaching while the food get cold. Can anyone of you imagine what it must be like to not be able to take a bath and not have clean clothes - in AMERICA? Can you imagine going to the bins behind the fast food places looking for food? I have met intelligent people in these circumstance - some humiliated and some so very thin. Some have not turned to acohol or drugs (yet). they are still hoping and trying. With no address you can't get assistance - without a job or money you can't get an address. No address = no assistance or foodstamps. they want to just die, but they don't turn to alcohol or drugs - they just keep on and so help me I don't know how they can face another night or day. If I am delusional then the rest of the world is delusional if they can turn their backs on what is happening in this country. Off topic, but it needed to be said. Go out and feed a homeless person today - and I don't mean by giving a CHARITY money these people never see. Go get your own hands dirty and put yourself in their place just one time...take a sheet and try to go to sleep on the concrete or on a bench (if you are lucky) - or even worse a nasty dark mildewed abandon trail with a rotten floor infested with bugs. BRAC 2005 Secretary of Defense Recommendations: In its 2005 BRAC Recommendations, DoD recommended to realign Fort Bragg by relocating the 7th Special Forces Group (SFG) to Eglin AFB, FL, and by activating the 4th Brigade Combat Team (BCT), 82d Airborne Division and relocating European-based forces to Fort Bragg, NC. The total estimated one-time cost to the Department of Defense to implement this recommendation would be $334.8M. The net of all costs and savings to the Department during the implementation period would be a savings of $446.1M. Annual recurring costs to the DoD after implementation would be $23.8M, with no payback expected. The net present value of the costs and savings to the Department over 20 years would be a cost of $639.2M. DoD estimated that this recommendation would not result in any job reductions over the 2006-2011 period. Environmentally, this recommendation might result in operational restrictions to protect cultural or archeological resources at Fort Bragg. Tribal consultations might also be required. Further analysis may be necessary to determine the extent of new noise impacts at Bragg. Increased water demand at Fort Bragg might lead to further controls and restrictions and water infrastructure might need upgrades due to incoming population. An evaluation of operational restrictions for jurisdictional wetlands would likely have to be conducted at Fort Bragg. Added operations might impact threatened and endangered species at Fort Bragg and would result in further operational and training restrictions. This recommendation would require spending approximately $1.0M for environmental compliance costs. In another recommendation, DoD would realign Yeager Airport AGS, WV, by realigning eight C-130H aircraft to Pope/Fort Bragg to form a 16 aircraft Air Force Reserve/active duty associate unit. DoD also recommended to close Pittsburgh International Airport (IAP) Air Reserve Station (ARS), PA, and relocate 911th Airlift Wing’s (AFRC) eight C-130H aircraft to Pope/Fort Bragg to form a 16 aircraft Air Force Reserve/active duty associate unit. It would also Relocate AFRC operations and maintenance manpower to Pope/Fort Bragg. DoD also recommended to close General Mitchell Air Reserve Station (ARS). In another recommendation, DoD would realign Ft Eustis, VA, Ft Jackson, SC, and Ft Lee, VA, by relocating all mobilization processing functions to Ft Bragg, NC, designating it as Joint Pre-Deployment/Mobilization Site Bragg/Pope. Secretary of Defense Justification: The first recommendation would co-locate Army Special Operation Forces with Air Force Special Operations Forces at Eglin AFB, activate the 4th BCT of the 82nd Airborne Division and relocate Combat Service Support units to Fort Bragg from Europe to support the Army modular force transformation. DoD claimed that this realignment and activation of forces would enhance military value and training capabilities by locating Special Operations Forces (SOF) in locations that best support Joint specialized training needs, and by creating needed space for the additional brigade at Fort Bragg. DoD acknowledged that this recommendation would never pay back. However, it claimed that the benefits of enhancing Joint training opportunities coupled with the positive impact of freeing up needed training space and reducing cost of the new BCT by approximately $54-$148M (with family housing) at Fort Bragg for the Army's Modular Force transformation, would justify the additional costs to the Department. The C-130 unit would remain as an Army tenant on an expanded Fort Bragg. Careful analysis of mission capability indicated that it would be more appropriate to robust the proposed airlift mission at Fort Bragg to an optimal 16 aircraft C-130 squadron, which would provide greater military value and offers unique opportunities for Jointness. Assuming no economic recovery, this recommendation could result in a maximum potential reduction of 7,840 jobs (4,700 direct jobs and 3,140 indirect jobs) over the 2006-2011 period in the Fayetteville, NC, Metropolitan Statistical economic area (4.0 percent). The third recommendation would realign the 440th Airlift Wing’s operations, maintenance and Expeditionary Combat Support (ECS) manpower to Fort Bragg. The fourth recommendation would realign eight lower threshold mobilization sites to four existing large capacity sites and transforms them into Joint Pre-Deployment/ Mobilization Platforms. This action would be expected to have the long-term effect of creating pre- deployment/mobilization centers of excellence, leverage economies of scale, reduce costs, and improve service to mobilized service members. These joint platforms would not effect any of the services units that a have specific unit personnel/equipment requirements necessitating their mobilization from a specified installation. This recommendation specifically targeted four of the larger capacity mobilization centers located in higher density Reserve Component (RC) personnel areas. These platforms had the added military value of strategic location, Power Projection Platform (PPP) and deployment capabilities. The gaining bases all had an adjoining installation from another service(s), thereby gaining the opportunity to increase partnership and enhance existing joint service facilities and capabilities. These new joint regional predeployment/redeployment mobilization processing sites, Fort Dix, Fort Lewis, Fort Bliss and Fort Bragg had the capability to adequately prepare, train and deploy members from all services while reducing overall mobilization processing site manpower and facilities requirements. Numerous other intangible savings would be expected to result from transformation opportunities by consolidating all services’ mobilization operations and optimizing existing and future personnel requirements. Additional opportunities for savings would also be expecte from the establishment of a single space mobilization site capable of supporting pre-deployment/mobilization operations from centralized facilities and infrastructure. Community Concerns: There were no formal expressions from the community. Commission Findings: The Commission found that this recommendation was consistent with DoD’s justification. Specifically, the Commission views that the relocation of the 7th Special Forces Group to Eglin AFB, FL, provides this unit an opportunity to achieve outstanding joint training through its collocation with the Air Force Special Operations Command. Also, the Commission found that this relocation enables the activation of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82D Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, and it is consistent with the Army’s transformation efforts and the Force Structure Plan. The Commission found that though the Mission Compatibility Index (MCI) tool did not accurately capture all aspects of the base’s military value and may appear to have favored larger bases, it appears to have been applied consistently. Regarding Mitchell’s Airlift MCI score, the Commission verified that there was in fact a calculation error for the formula assessing the quality of an installation’s pavement. Even after correcting the error, however, the base still ranked as one of two of the lowest scoring Air Force Reserve bases, according to the Air Force. The Commission found this recommendation supportable. The Commission established C-130 wings at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia and Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. This recommendation is consistent with the Commission’s Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Laydown plan. I have an old large pocket knife that looks like it has been buried with a piece of cord in it. Sluggo saw this when he was here and dismissed it because it was dirty dirty - and it was not pink. I seriously doubt that if buried with the money for many yrs and having been wet it would still be pink. It looks like the core threads of the chute cord in a photo one of you posted. Also when a man is cutting a cord he forms a loop and then pulls the knife thru the loop to make the cut. Did the FBI take DNA from the cord and did they protect that cord from being handled over the yrs. Snowmman: In Tosaw's interview with Tina - or one of her interviews there was a mention of a green bag - sticking out from a compartment of the briefcase. This was only mentioned over the yrs in one source? I wonder if it was army green or bright green...and what was the fabric? I have verified that Duane's 2 stepsons where in the service - in 1968 - one was stationed at Breming and the other in (Special Forces)...and also stationed in WA.
