The things our own governement has done in the name of democracy makes me sick! If they have kept these horriible things secret all of these yrs - then it is possible and believeable that - our US government knows who Cooper was. I had to stop reading some the documents because they were actually making my stomach churn...dirty politics...orders to eliminate without involving our armed forces - in other words - Covert - orders and NOT to involve CIA. I am at lost to find something I have searched for - yrs. I might as well let you guys think I have lost it, but here goes. During the early yrs I told Himmelsbach and others what I could about Duane. I mentioned anything I thought might be of value. 377 - this is one of those (like the 3 guys in parachutes in front of a prison) - and I SWEAR to GOD that picture DID exist...a lot of my memory is visual as most of you who have followed my plight must by now realized. Somewhere between 1990 and 1995 there was a documentary or at least a 15 minute segment on an assassination of a political figure in foreign country. It had been suggested to me that it might have been CHE, but I can't make anything I have researched about him to co-incide with the memories I have of this segment. Search your memories because this is important and might help me to connect Duane with someone from the past. Scenario: There was an incident where a political figure in a foreign country had been killed. This documentary was showing pictures that were NOT supposed to have been made - during the incident. Cameras where NOT supposed to be there - this was some type of secret covert thing. At any rate they show some fuzzy pictures of a house and a door way, but as the program progressed they showed a picture of a man in fatiques (camouflage outfit) holding a rifle across his chest. He is standing with his feet apart - this appeared to be a posed picture. This program mentions that this man was involved in the incident. There is a wall or building behind him - not an open field. He appears to be tall (at least 6 ft) - and of good build. Since they were showing his picture on TV I would presume this person was maybe deceased or a known soldier of fortune (in other words they implicate this man, but it is several yrs after the incident so I am presuming the man may have been living out of the country or deceased). When this segment was televised it was NOT about a RECENT incident - but, I get the impression of it being in the 70's. Duane said at that time - that he knew the man whose picture they put up on the screen (NOTE that DUANE DID NOT mention anything about any involvement regarding himself). They must have given a name, but since this was considered a political type thing I didn't pay much attention. I believe this segment aired after 1990 and of course before February of 1995. NOW, I am going to explain something else. HOW DUMB I AM! I did NOT know until today that mercenaries and soldiers of fortune are one and the same. After all of the posts I didn't GET IT until it was SPELLED out to me today. Now do you guys see what I mean by the Dumb Blonde Syndrome. I am not posting this quest for you guys to make fun of me - but hoping that someone can help me find this segment and who it was about. I am not interested in whoever the political figure was, but the PHOTO of that man and who he was. I am asking for help on this issue and may have asked before - but, for some reason the urgency of need to know is an issue right now and I am asking for YOUR help. I know you guys will come through on this - and when it does it may mean something about Duane's past or at least those he was in associations with. Thank YOU ALL. PS: Salvador was mentioned, but I have been unable to find ANY clips of any segment EVER done on this incident. I found lots on Che, but nothing that seemed related to the segment Duane and I were watching that night. I think this is why Cooper needed to get back to PDX - and why the boat was such an issue to one of the suspects. The authorities checked for abandoned cars - but how quickly did they do that and how extensive was this search. I know one car was checked out and it had been left there by a business man. How extensive did they do this particular search and how extensive did they check the backgrounds of anyone whose car was left in the area? Did they check for stolen cars? What if a woman stored a car in a warehouse - a vehicle in her name - somewhere near PDX or Sea Tac. Maybe 2 cars where in the vicinity and not in the name of any suspect. Maybe an accomplice was staying in the area waiting for him to call or use his 2 way radio he powered with the battery in the brief case? Maybe the accomplice was in the area on the pretense of visiting family - and the family had NO knowledge of the suspect. What if the car used actually belonged to someone living in the WA area who would not have been suspect - perhaps this person was military and on deployment, but the vehicle was use by a family member during the holidays? Because Cooper knew the area very well he knew that if he landed in certain areas - where he could go for cover and then to make a contact with the accomplice if there was actually one. . Say Cooper acted on his own and there was NO 2 way radio or any means of communications. How did he get out of the area. Use the storage of a vehicle by a military person on deployment senario. Now how would he do this without anyone knowing. If he had knowledge of a vehicle or vehicles stored in the area and access to the storage area - easy as pie. The victim would not know their vehicle was missing until they returned or if there was obvious signs of a break-in. Since Cooper returned the vehicle prior to their return from deployment - the service man never knew it was missing. Now I know you guys will shoot holes in this - but what if that service man was in somehow involved with someone Cooper knew? Nigel 99 - Note I am taking your advise to heart - but I still say Duane was Cooper because I KNOW he was - but I will stop harping on the FBI. By contributing "senarios" such as the above it will contribute to the solution. Now Nigell99 - you asked me why I brought up the question of backing down the aft-stairs. I was basing that on nothing other than the nightmare Duane had and with his right hand extented and the scream of "I am going to die". Nigel99 - What I was wanting was feed back from Jumpers of if it was feasible to jump from that position and what would the consequence would have been. Would it have increased his survival rate? I was fielding something I have thought about since 1996 when I found out who Dan Cooper was. I think that the profile the FBI developed after all of these yrs - is influenced too much by the profilers that know absolutely nothing about the 60's and 70's. The young people are unable to know what some of the old timers know from that era - and it makes a difference. Cooper was calm on the outside, but the reasons that put him on that plane in the first place were personal. He was going to even a score or die doing it. The FBI orginally looked at ex-cons, but they were looking for someone who had experience that would have been recorded. If Cooper had experience that would have identified him - he would have worn a disquise and everything would have been more planned out. This guy was actually winging it...he didn't have a damn thing to loose. He already considered himself a looser and a well experienced jumper would have made a diffent approach. Do any of you think for one moment considering Coopers re-action to the delivery of the money that he ACTUALLY believed he was going to pull this off? After the child-like response he realizes he has to go thru with this. I wonder what was going thru his mind...I believe he was thinking "I know this can be done because I was involved with people who actually did it - if they can do it I can do it". " F---- piece of cake if I die - so what, no one is going to miss me - I have screwed-up my life and everyone who has been in it." He had not seen his brother or sister since the 50's and they did not even know where he was or if he was still alive....no one would miss him. When Cooper was looking out that window (regardless of the cloud cover) he was looking for land marks that would help him to orient himself...feeling that if he landed within his area of knowledge he at least had a chance. I can tell you that Cooper did not walk down that aft stair facing the opening - he backed down it holding onto the stairway - and then finally had to let go and when he let go he let out a scream knowing he was going to die. By going out backward that is probably what helped him to survive the jump. Now I know some of you experience divers are going to disagree with this. Consider the kind of chute he had and that he was holding on to a bundle he had secured to himself - he had to have that bundle infront of him. I believe this because of the nightmare Duane had when he grabbed upward like he was holding on to something. That kind of position would only have been likely if he backed down the stairs and was holding on - but then got torn away from his grasp. He had on leather gloves. He had on ankle snap rubbers over his zipped ankle boots (the zipper was on the inside). Mitchell the student sitting across form him who refused to move claimed to see somthing sticking out from under his pants (I have personally interviewed this withness) - so he may have had on long underwear. His build seemed to be "Compact" and that description leads me to believe he had something around his middle and upper chest under the jacket and rain coat...a back brace or an apparatus or some other device. If you will note his release photos from Canon City you will notice that even then he was wearing boots. Those boots he was released in had seen their better days. His shoe of choice was always the ankle boot with a zipper - except in later yrs. He wore loafters only for dress. The language that was used was prison language, but he was polite. Again Duane fit that - I wish there was a video of him in a meeting or making a presentation - but none exist. The only video was after his decline with the kidney disease - and he made a point to stay away from the camera and far into the background. In this video it is obvious he only got into position for pictures he was required to be in. This was a family event and yet he still tried to stay away from the camera. One thing we are chasing right now - in 1969 Duane worked for the Bourbon Orleans and they left for Atlanta in the throes of Hurricane Camile heading away from the hurricane. One of the ex-wife's older sons was with them at that time and drove one car with Duane driving the other. While in New Orleans there had been some "incidents" involving his family and our current focus is investigating the involvement of individuals who may have remained in contact with Duane and his family after they went to Atlanta. At first in Atlanta he worked for a club there except there was NO W2 - so that meant he was doing work under the John Collins name and the Duane Weber name - for 2 yrs he used BOTH SS numbers. Selling insurance under Duane Weber and God only knows what under the John Collins name. The FBI was NOT helpful - and to my knowledge they never investigated his employment under the John C. Collins SS number...WHY? Yet, I provide the names of 2 places he was know to work for which there were no taxes filed on in 1969 and 1970 under the name Duane L. Weber. We have been busy, but there is just so much we can do without the assistance of the FBI and their access to the SS records under both names. The FBI was not interested in his were abouts during 1945 to 1949. During the above 1945 - to 1949 and the yrs between 1962 and 1966 lies Duane's knowledge of the N.W. This man knew every road and every power line and hills and the names of clubs and did not need a map the entire time we were there. You do not learn an area like that unless you have spent a great deal of time and worked the area. The FBI has NOT been interested in this obvious back ground. My focus has been those yrs and it is paying off. I even put out the fact that he may have helped to build the pipelines and powerlines or worked in the area building airports and airstrips - since he also knew where the airstrips were located - he pointed out airstrips I couldn't even see, but i now know that these strip were indeed located there in 1971. It was the same with cemeteries. The books that seemed so important are also of co-incidental concern. Unusual books for a man to have an attachment too. Orange states: Orange and all, I only know what I am told and I am repeating what I was told. I have a copy of the notarized statement the night clerk provided to the Portland FBI office. Carr did wks later call the night clerk only after I commented he had NOT acknowledged the notarized statement nor mentioned this witness going into the Portland Office or to this forum. As for Slander - I can prove what I have said about the Night Clerk and the FBI knows this. I can also Prove another agent lied to me in 2000. You forget the times he chastized me - in this forum. Remember he promised to send me the files and claimed he thought I already had them - hence he made the criminal record (limited) available in this forum. Remember all of the other statements he made that were only his ideas or opinions and not the facts of the case? Would you just call those his impressions or that he lied about these things? What you said indicates our government can say and do whatever they want (which they do over and over). It also indicates that I as a citizen have no rights (what rights we have are slowly being taken away). To believe our government and it employees have never lied to the pubic equates with believing in Fairy Tales. Do you know how many government officials thru out the US as of these last few yrs have gone to prison for mulitple crimes involving fraud, theft, violations of rules and regulations, felony, grand theft, misuse of their government position, falsification of documents, etc? The list is endless and more and more officials are being added to the enormous list daily. The people of America are saying "No More - this has to stop" . We have to be able to trust our elected officials and government employees - but, that is not the case anymore. Dirty politics and greed dictate now. They usually go for yrs before they are caught and then their penalties are less than it would be if a regular citizen had commited the same crime in a private or non-government entity. We then proceeded to the Portland side of the bridge where he drove by some storage buildings not far from the airport and mentioned a car being left there at one time...I aways presumed this car was parked infront of the buildings. Then we drove East along the Columbia - he tells me that most of what is along the river is industrial on that side - as we get on down the road - he mentions the overpass across the river and tells me about the Marina that is behind that so I can't see if from that area. This is when he told me the story about the boat. "They" was referring to the police (so I thought) because I was imagining him doing this as a very young man. The grin on his face telling that story - I will NOT forget as long as I live. As usual I chastized him "like a Mama" with her son, but with amazement at the things he had done. Again I asked for NO explanation - I never asked why. Just "You, didn't!" It was a short time after that we turned around and headed back toward Portland to take a road toward Tahoe (it was not until that moment I knew we were going to Tahoe). I wanted to know how we could afford it - and his explanation that the office had given him a bonus while he was Seattle. At one time on that journey along the Columbia he tells me about an Island in the middle of the river. I remember this trip because WA was a state I had not been to and I had never been to Tahoe. My family had gone on a Western vacation, but my mother became ill so we didn't make it to WA and turned around just inside of the CA. state line and headed home. I was 13 or 14 yrs old. There have been over the yrs since I contacted the FBI in 1996 a lot of Cooper Wannabes and a lot of Cooper suspects and a few books written. None lived this secret life Weber lived and none left in a safe deposit box a $20. bill. What did Duane Weber leave in a safe deposit box - a Soldier of Fortune Magazine dated December 1994. Everyone in this forum knows what was in that Magazine, but what did it mean? There was nothing else in that box. Re-read the statement above - when I reference NONE - I am speaking of the suspects in general. Remember that Cook spoke about a safe deposit box in Canada that they were looking for. What I was trying to say is that Duane left nothing in a "safe deposit box except a magazine" and that I thought that odd. Yes, there was a 20 dollar bill folded over several time in that bank - and yes the dog was named Symba. Yes, there was a name written on it and it was written in ink. Larry CARR - Lied, but what is new! The night clerk carried his own statement which was done on a computer into the the Portland FBI office. He had simply meant to mail it before he went into the hospital the next day - but he was so close to the Portland FBI office that he decided to just "walk it in". The duty agent read the letter and asked him to wait a moment. Another agent came out and asked him some question (I don't remember all the specifics he told me). I expect that "someone" with the FBI in that office would consitute taking a statement - but the night clerk hand carried a written and notarized statement into their office. Note: that Larry Carr does NOT work out of that office. Several days or wks later Carr calls him, but only because I confronted him - or chastized him either thru this forum or by email or by phone or maybe ALL three. I had waited for a period of time after the Night Clerk went into the FBI Office to see what the FBI was going to do. Since there was NOTHING - I took action on my own to make sure you guys knew the letter was in the hands of the FBI. If you are able to do what I can't do - search the posts - you will know the exact time lapse (my memory is getting poor on newly acquired information). In 1996 thru 2001 I have repeatedly told this story about what Duane told me and showed me, but tonight after a conversation with a friend - some things were very clear to me that I wish to re-interate at this time. I told anyone who would listen about what Duane told me and what I remembered at the point he said "That's were Cooper Walked out of the Woods". I studied a map tonight and I believe I have recounted what I found on these maps before but there is something new - something I DIDN't see until tonight. In telling the story I always mentioned the things Duane talked about. and pointed out - such as powerlines and pipelines and creeks and Camp Bonnevile. Considering these things where mentioned to Mr. Thomas and to Himmelsbach and the FBI - WHY would anyone think I we went to Portland and crossed over the bridge to I-5. I consistently told Mr. Thomas that was NOT correct because we didn't go to Portland until after we LEFT Seattle going to Tahoe...at one point I think he convinced me of this - until I went out there in 2001. When Duane and I were at Lake LaCames (which I had been told had to be the Columbia) - Duane took me to a pretty steep hill - or nob. We went on a dirt or gravel road with steep sides - at the top was a fenced area and wooden gate with small bolders - looking somewhat like an old homestead and with large old sparce trees in it. It was stately and eeriey this strange place at the top of this nob. This Nob was N.W. of the tributary - the tributary was E of the J.D. Currie Youth Camp. This is the area that Duane pointed out the powerlines and where they converged. At this time he talked about a creek that came out of the Camp Bonneville area and crossed the pipelines and the powerlines. I have been studing some maps I had and some that Sluggo brought for me when he visited my home. Tonight I am seeing things I didn't see before or maybe it is this sudden urgency I am feeling to bring all of this to an end. On the maps I found the Creek that comes under the pipelines from within the Camp Bonnevile area - I mentioned this in a prior post. What I didn't see before was because the power lines had not been highlighted is of interest. Matney Creek and Little Matney Creek converge together at the power lines. Seeing as Duane made mention of the things located within the Bonneville Camp - and I am going to surmise he came out of the Little Matney Creek branch. Just below the point the creeks merge and South of the powerlines existiing in 1971 is a bend in the river and this map of 1990 shows one structure there (do not know if it was there in 1971). It also indicates a pond of sorts at this point. This is where Cooper had to make a decision and it was dark. He could see a halo of lights to the South and what had become Matney Creek after the merge was East and dark. It is my opinion that he took refuge there for the night - The next morning he had to make a decision - follow the creek or go in the direction of the light. Since he was very familiar with the area he chose to go South although there was no road or path or creek to follow - I believe he followed a ridge of sorts since I don't know the terrain in the area. About 4000 feet in this area he comes across more flowing water - this is the tributary that takes him again to the powerlines - as he knew there was another set of crossing lines south of those where the 2 creeks had merged. He was on target because this tributary took him only a few feet from the criss cross of power lines just North West of the Lake. At this point he is hungery and he ventured on down to the lake - I am going to guess that someone had left food or staples in one of the fishing Cottages at the point on Lake LaCames. Duane mentioned knowing the caretaker of the Ledbetter mansion - although I didn't know in 1979 it was anything, but a very nice home. I have tried without any success to find out who the caretaker was in 1971. I have been told that the caretaker of the area lived up away from the Mansion in a separate quarters toward the North Eastern part of the Lake. Somehow he finds food, but left whatever he had with him at a hiding place on that Knob - with all of these boulders - finding a hiding place would be easy. Later he goes back to this clearing and retrives his "stuff" and gets back under the power line - because he knows if he follows that line this will take him to another intersecting point with a power line goes South to the Columbia. Now this is something I had not found before because I had been told Cooper would have to have walked thru populated areas...that power line to the Columbia was NOT populated in 1971 and if you waited until dark or very early morning - being spotted would not be likely. The locals had told me this over the yrs. but seeing it for myself on this map - was eye opening. Remember the story he told me about that Marina in the Washougal area - guess where it is? Right there where those power lines came out to the Columbia and behind and North of the road trussels (hope I spelled that right). I have repeatedly ask for someone to check the records of 1971 for a story about a boat missing from that Marina. The story Duane told me was that "they" thought it was a bunch of boys going for a joy ride. When he said this he had this grin on this face. Bear in mind that he did NOT tell me the Marina story until we where going home and we went East on the North side of the Columbia for a spell before turning back West to take the road to Tahoe. Since the boat thing was told to me several days later on the trip to Tahoe, I did NOT associate it with things he had said on our way to Seattle. He said the motor was set in full throttle and the boat released near the airport. Believe me when I say I didn't connect that with Cooper. I am not sure I even knew what city Cooper highjacked the plane from - hence why his remarks about the airport on 2 occassions did not mean anything to me at that time...nor did his throwing something into the river or his odd time down on the Columbia by himself on that return trip. When I found these places in 2001 - I should have stayed in Portland until I could get the authorities to go see what I was talking about, but I had to get home and to my job. Since Mr Thomas nor the documentary Guide couldn't understand what I was trying to describe - I was feeling hopeless. Had it not been for the Angel Udell I would never have found the primary locations in 2001. I have told the story about my Angel before I so I won't recount it again. I have, but one regret - that I did NOT stand my ground in 2001 and should have refused to have left Wa without answers. This has been a long journey - 13 yrs and 3 months of my life used up since I found out who "Dan Cooper" was and went public to fight a battle that cannot be won. No one wants the truth. They want to forever debate or speculate who Cooper could have been. The investigative forces don't want to have to explain why they haven't been able to find out who Cooper was. They continue to state the letter of 1998 as proof that Weber was investigated and yet in 2000 the agent of record did not know Weber had been in the army in 1943 nor in McNeil Island Prison in 1944. The investigative forces produced DNA - but they have NO idea if that DNA belonged to Cooper. I have stated before and do so again that the DNA was compromised and that there was NO proof the tie belonged to Cooper - per Himmelsbach it was found on the seat next to where Cooper was sitting. I was told a story about a "tie" and Weber, but have no personal knowledge or it it was true. Missing yrs in the life of Weber are 1944-1949 and 1962 - 1966. I have heard about this or that person writing a book about his or her "Cooper" - but no one except Duane Weber ever said "I am Dan Cooper". I cannot take away the fact that I saw and held the ticket in my hands, a parking stub with Sea-Tac on it and a bank bag. I have been called delusional and I call myself crazy out of self-defense. Thru out these yrs I have had to contend with being called a LIAR and made the brunt of many untruths. I lost clients because of my involvement with the past of my husband and damaged relationships. I have spent the better part of these 13 plus yrs. defending what I did know and searching for answers to what I didn't know. Thur out these yrs many contacts have taken place - good and bad, but one was a night clerk at an Inn in 1971 who said Duane Weber spent the night before the crime at his place of employment. The FBI was informed of this in 2001, but made NO attempts to interview the man. He was out of the country for 5 yrs and returned to the states in 2008 due to illness. At that time he took a statement into the the Portland FBI office. It was not until then that the FBI took the time to contact him and then all they did was make a phone call. While he was in the states another party made a video of his statement - but this would have been more convincing if the FBI had interviewed him in 2001 prior to his having been influence by contact with me and the internet. Collins I have no legal access to because I was unable to prove I was the widow of John C. Collins. To prove that Duane L. Weber and John C. Collins were the same person I would need access to his Jefferson Prison File which the FBI never made available to me. The FBI offered no explanation of how or why a government would provided a COMMUTATION of Sentence to a man who had already spent 15 yrs in 5 other prisons. He had only served 2 yrs of his sentence. I am recapping these things because I need to move on and I need to go public with all of these things I have shared with this forum and to express my thanks to all of you for your patience and for all the information you have provided since November of 2006. In November of this yrs 2009 - the Cooper incident will be 38 yrs old. My plight will have endured almost 14 yrs with his confession and in 2010 it will have been 15 yrs since his passing on March 28 1995. I will come see you all once in a while but I have to step back a little because Life is TOO short and I am very tired. Maybe this yrs I will actually take a chance getting on a plane and go to WA in November...It is time to bury Duane L. Weber aka John C. Collins aka Dan Cooper. You Will Never Know If You Don't Know Now. Perhaps he sang that song to me for a reason. Damn him for ever telling me anything - Damn him! Why couldn't he have just kept his damn secret? Orange, you had asked why I didn't remember the name on the ticket. This is a question I have asked myself many times. I was just impressed by how old the ticket was and I was very pressed for time during that part of my life. I do not know if I noted the name - but then Dan Cooper didn't mean anything to me around Feb of 1994. I had little time to dwell on things: I worked 6 days a wk for 10 hrs plus and then come home to take care of Duane around 8PM. I had a route I had to do everyday and reports to do after I got ready for bed. On Sundays I would cook several meals and put them in the freezer for him to have while I worked. I also did most of the lawn work that last yr. On Sunday I also did the laundry and ironing (yes, I ironed then and still do). He was driving and would go visit friends and he helped his friends - Duane would do anything for anyone - all he expected was a kind word and a smile. He was very generous with his time, money and doing something for others. Note that the nature of my work required I collect money from policy holders and write new business. You might be interested to know I was the only agent who didn't have to look at my collection book to know my next stop. To this day I will see one of my own client and recognize them but not be able to recall their name. Selective memory I guess - outside of that I don't have an excuse or a reason why I do not remember the name on the ticket. Duane and achohol: When he had no more than 3 or 4 drinks - he was a well put together person - this is when he would sing in public and he was very very good - it released his inhibitions if he had any. When he drank excessively - he was a pussy cat, but somehow managed to functions with the exception of one DUI during our marriage. I never saw him loose control in anger drinking. Duane was not an achololic but I did see him pretty drunk about 4 or 5 times prior to 1990 - He had to stop drinking when he went on the machine ---but he had not been able to tolerate alcohol for about 2 yrs prior to that. Kidney disease in the end stage - is life altering. Each episode I remember him being drunk corresponds to activity involving the Cooper story. Now I know that sounds ODD and it is not something I had given much thought to until alcohol was mentioned in some posts recently. The postings made me think about Duane and alcohol...... 1962 to 1966 - I wish I could find more about these yrs on Duane - the yrs of John C. Collins. He is seen in Miami in 1962 and had known associations within the JMWave associated companies. He spoke about prior military training in VA...I never understood what or when or why he made a statement regarding this while we lived there...... There is basically nothing known about Duane from 1945 until 1950....other than the interference of family members when he was sent to McNeil in WA state and he was not there but for a very short time before being placed in a special camp nearer to his parents...(I had asked the FBI to check into this but they never did), but WE did. Note that the McNeil file shows Duane was born in 1920 - therefore why he was NOT kept within the McNeil prison for any lenght of time...not when they found out he was actually born in 1924 and that he had been in the ARMY and NAVY. Maybe they thought he was salvageable. 1962 - 1967 he spends his life as John C. Collins and then 1967 and 1968 in prison in Jefferson - WHY would anyone commute a sentence of a 5 time looser who had already spent 15 yrs in 5 other prison prior to that time? Regardless of how many Commuations where given - this made NO common sense at all. Sorry I am just recapping things in his life I make NO sense out of and putting it with recent finds. Around 1949 another suspect in the Skyjacking was in prison in Oklahoma....but don't know from what yr to what yr. This person and Weber hinted at covert action. Both made similar claims about several things - both connected to the same things and the same groups of people. Both connected to 2 specific individuals with certain connections. Yes, I have names but I cannot make those available on this forum. These 2 lives have too many parallels to ignore - but to go there is to go where you guy have gone, but to take it one step further. I never though it extraordinary - as we backed up to the woods but had a Cedar fence...he did want it deeper than she dug the hole and had her increase the depth with the post diggers. We had buried on the other side of the yard another smaller dog a few yrs prior (my teacup). Something may have dug her up and he never told me - maybe why he wanted this dog deeper. Had wanted someone hypnotize me to see if I would remember the numbers - but - Carr screwed that up by posting the boarding pass which the stewardess retrieved. You and many others do not understand Kidney disease and Duane's stamina. He was bad the day of and after dialysis, but had good days between sessions. His bones had become fragil, but he still had endurance and mental capabililties. Some one with end stage kidney disease can be doing something one day and in the hospital the next. The dog was dead, but not stiff when he was buried. He weighed about 10 lbs (toy poodle). We are NOT talking about a big dog. I had prepared his bed - Duane wrapped him in the plastic - I did not see this until we exhumed the body - until that time I am not sure I knew about the heavy duty plastic bag he was in and I certainly didn't know what to expect. Right - 3 ft cover over a 12 inch deep box. She started with a shovel and the post hold digger out of the garage. He had gone out to look at the hole and he didn't think it was deep enough. There was a pretty big pile of dirt. The people who dug it up and that film might show how deep he was buried, but it was too deep for the metal detectors my friends used at the beach. The second time they came out they brought the best someone had in this area and lots of other people. The body of the dog was dug up in 2001 so I was only 5 yrs into my search. It was the late fall of 1994 that we buried the dog and Duane was wearing his big puffy coat. He had come out of the bedroom and he had a pill bottle in his hand. I asked what it was and he said the papers on the dog (note I later found these papers so that was an out and out llie). He went iinto the garage where the dog was and asked to be left alone - the helper was already digging the grave site. I did not see the dog after Duane had his private time with him - he may have had second thoughts about buring whatever it was with the dog. When we dug the dog up - we expected this gold pill bottle to fall loose - we did not expect to find a soupy body - NO ONE was prepared for this. It was stated to me that I needed to have some one do an autopsy on the body - but I could ill afford to have that done...I did make some phone calls because now I knew where the dog was buried. Before I was several feet off and none of the equipment a local treasure hunter group had detected this grave site because it was 4 feet deep??????? It took special equipment to find the grave site... Who would bury a dog that deep - I knew when the helper dug the grave it was deep, but didn't realize how deep. Duane may have had second thoughts about whatever was in that pill bottle and maybe he put it in the book that wasn't a book...which was in the stuff from the closing of the shop stored in the garage. The garage sale happened after we buried the dog...and Duane's concern about the book thing which I never saw. I have explained this before and the sequences of the book that wasn't a book. Duane was very ill at this time and within 2 months he went to the hospital for the last time. The ticket was a carbon of the original - they used carbon paper between the copies. I looked at the date and said it out LOUD to Duane with the to and from. I remarked it was a very old ticket and he said - it used to mean something but it doesn't mean anything anymore. This is why he surmised I threw it in the throw away pile, but didn't want to create any attention to it. As I have told you guys - he was a genius at re-directing a conversation or maybe because I have Dumb Blonde Syndrome. I have took my mind back to that time and often thought maybe someone could hypnotize me and I would be able to read the numbers off and give the name on the ticket - then CARR made the boarding pass availble in the forum which meant that any testing of me would have been conpromised. Carr did a very bad thing on the forum at that time, because it nullified any possible information that might have been extracted from my memory by hypnotism. I was willing for someone to attempt the hynotism - if I had come out with the numbers and the name - this would be over (CARR was aware of this). Now that information is useless. I was concerned if someone would be able to hynotize me because it had been tried when I was a very young woman and I always believed that it was just an act. Jerry if I had known exactly where the dog was buried then I would not have needed all of that equipment they brought with them. I had some local volunteers prior who had been out with their equipment several time to try and find the grave with no luck. I have the name and card of the equipment people - do you want to contact them? They found the dog NOT me. It took that team a while to find him. You are well aware that they do stage some of the filming. I only watched the film one time and it was so gross - there were lots of things I did not agree with. I had never smelled a body in that stage of decomp. I was horrible - horrible - gross. No one wanted to pull him apart to see if there was anything tucked under or in the arm pit or in his mouth. They turned him over and poked at him - the body was intact, but soupy. They thought maybe Duane had tucked it up under him and one of them suggested it might be inside of him - in other words orfice may not be the right word - it could have been in a cavity and it could have be tucked up high enough under the arms to be absorbed into the body soup. They did not expect to find the body in that type of decomp - expected it to be - dried up and bones and hair. No one realized how well Duane had packed him for his burial. His blanket, his duck, in a large thick plastic bag taped and sealed and the in a large Hi-impact plastic container. I don't the know the technical lanuage, but you get the drift. Yes I thought he had buried something with the dog but it was so gross when we found him no one wanted to examine the orfices - he was almost soup, because he had been buried in a big plastic bag and then put in a plastic container. I NEVER SAID WE went across the I-5 bridge - YOU TOLD me that was where we had to have went. YOU kept insisting we went in to Portland and we did NOT until the return trip home. You are doing the same thing you did on the phone and have done before in this forum - ENOUGH is ENOUGH!. From yours and the experience of others you are aware the documentaries only use about 1 minute out of 5 hours of filming. If someone only does well on a one on one basis they do not do well in front of a camera..it can be more confusing. YOU are the one who had me confused about where I was by by insisting I went to Portland and insisting we crossed the I-5 bridge. Who was I to argue this until I went to WA in 2001. I contacted you and told you I found the places - even then you insisted you were right and that LaCames Lake was NOT possible. What you are doing on this forum and did to me on the phone prior to 2001 and the conversation you had with me where you called me Liar Liar over and over - are tactics used on prisoners of war. Where we crossed - there were lots of Boats on our right and it didn't look like a river. After we crossed the Columbia at that is point we went down a road for several miles thru forest and he told me about Indina grounds on the WA sided till we came to an area were the highway had been widened - and I went look at the atlas because he thought he had missed his turn - but before I could find the area we turned into this town and then I tell you about the camp and the Washougal and the point and the area across this body of water. This is the point you claimed he took me back to the Columbia when that is not what he did - it was the only way you could explain away the the quiet wide body of water - you NOT one time mentioned Lake LaCames. The map I had did not show a lake as it was too small and I did acquire a larger map at a later date that showed the Lake, but that was AFTER I had returned to FL. Had I have had that map prior to my trip - that documentary would have been informative and not what it was. PS: For the record one last time. The filming company is who decided not to use Jerry - NOT me. I asked where he was and they told me he WAS NOT AVAILABLE. . I have never met Jerry. Breakfast on the day we stayed at the Dalles was our snacks we took with us and so was lunch. Dinner was in Seattle - and it was late. We ate near the Men's club at some cafe on that street within walking distance....same side as The Mens Club. I'm just wondering about the limits of memory here, and what things got remembered and which didn't. the first day in Salt Lake and before we got to Seattle I had on white tennis shoes and shorts and flowery top (I remember this because of pictures, but also that Duane had told me it would be a warm day and I could start out in shorts). The morning at the Dalles - I don't remember because I didn't take any pictures that day. Gotcha! Ask my kids how I remember what they were wearing when I am doing 105 miles per hour in a Bel Air with one child bleeding to death in the seat next to me. The Highway patrol was behind me with sirens as I went thru a school zone. I refused to stop and he then passed me (I was reading 105) and escorted me with his sirens - I had kept shaking my head as he had come along side pointing to something in the seat and he saw the other child STANDING up in the seat - I am say no no and Shaking my head. REFUSING to pull over. The yr was 1964. At the intersection near Castleberry and Maitland, I turned instead of going straight as he thought I was headed to the Hospital. I was going to my Drs. Office - His name was Dr. Overstreet. He then doubled back thinking I had hoodwinked him and spoke with the nurse who told him had carried in a child who had a serious injury and had lost a lot of blood and that things where under control. I never did get to meet that patrolman. How different it is today - I would have been arrested and charged with child endangerment. She would probably have lost her toe and part of her foot if had I gone to the hospital...... Sharon was wearing a pink checkered top with rickrack and shorts. I don't remember what the injured daughter was wearing - all I remember is all of the blood and the bottom part of foot hanging off...I had grabbed a dish towel since I was in the kitchen when it happened. They had been watching one of the cartoons on TV and dancing around just as I told them to be careful of their cereal bowls - then it happened. We had terazzo floors and the bowls where glass. Does this help...I might not remember mundane everyday incidents - but, ask me about the trips I took with my parents as a child --- no don't ask unless you want more of the above. How many birthday cakes I have had - I can count them on one hand. How many birthday parties I had - also on one hand. Who attended both birthday parties. One was all adults and I was only 5 yrs old. The other was my 16th birthday. Ask me what was served on my 5th birthday - of course my favorite food and on fine china and with crystal. As for the WA trip - no I didn't know where I was but I know what I saw. I could not make Jerry understand me. He had me where I was not. Then in 2001 the crew didn't take me to the right places - and they know I was ADAMANT the places they took me were NOT right. Then my last day in WA and that female truck driver - I described the places to her. I gave her the same descriptions I had given Jerry for 5 yrs and went right to them - screaming stop stop stop turn turn turn. We are waiting for verification of dates of specifc incidences occuring in the life of a certain person. If the FBI cared at all they could get this information with the click of a few computer keys - but we have to find it the old fashion way. This is what is holding us up - then comes the very very hard part - this person's life crossed with that of another - whose life was forever changed........with this information we have opportunity, jump exposer and MOTIVE. These are not the same lines he had mentioned earlier on Ledbetter Road at Lake LaCames before we got on what I was told was 500 (by you) and went to I-5. He said something strange about that time which is lost to my memory after all of these yrs....it was enough for me to assume at a later date 17 yrs later that it might have had something to do with the 1971 Highjacking. At one time because of your not understanding what I was trying to tell you about that wide body of water. Remember you are the ONE who CONVINCED me I had to be on I-5 and I KEPT telling you that we went away from the Columbia. YOU convinced me that Duane must have turned back after the Washougal area and that we were on the Columbia - WE WERE NOT on the Columbia WE WERE AT LAKE LACAMES. I kept telling you the water did NOT look like the Columbia, because we went to the Columbia on our trip home. Further on up I-5 he did mention a graveyard and St. Helens (the town) and that he knew a woman who used to have a store there. He said something about the graveyard that is also lost to me (I got the feeling this gravesite meant something personal to him). I do know that this graveyard is NOT too far from a mill that was in the area. Bear in mind and take the responsiblility for this - YOU an YOU alone insisted I had to be on the Columbia - I kept telling you I wasn't and NOT ONE TIME did you mention LaCames Lake as being a possiblility of the area he took me to. It would take my trip in 2001 for me to put the trip in its proper perspective. At that time I contacted you and told you that you had me in the wrong place and you insisted there was NO WAY for the plane to have gone that far EAST. Your perspectives have certainly changed! Jerry Thomas; I have asked you to leave ME alone. Duane was Cooper and NO ONE has provided any proof that he was not. Your post essentially calls me a LIAR. Well, now I will retailiate - You KNOW that what you are posting about me is NOT the TRUTH. You know that the FBI did NOT investigate Weber. IF the FBI did have proof that Weber was not Cooper - they would have provided that information yrs ago. If the FBI has information to prove Weber was NOT Cooper - they would use that information to make Weber disappear. The only thing that gets in your crawl is that you were NEVER asked to participate in the documentaries that I did consent to do. I have refused ALL offers since 2002 - have you? Every time you post - perhaps I should make derogatory and negative posts regarding the things you say - there are many times I could have done so, but I have been courteous enough not to pounce on your post. I expect the same courteousy from you.
