With what I know - Cooper only had one major road to cross - just your normal 2 lane country road and that road was not that well traveled. I think the Cooper Catchers "OVER think" this whole jump - that is why Cooper got away in the first place. (Yes, there were other roads but country roads). There were multiple towers of all kinds in the area - one only had to find one of those towers and with OR without compass directions the rest was easy to find - and the trail was a straight on - power lines and pipe line and rail lines. At that time in 1971 they were not over grown. Find one tower and your were on your way home or where ever - Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber

Someone clarify this up-stream and down-stream for those of us who do NOT live in Washington. I did not know in the beginning that the Columbia actually flows North and yet, the Washougal flows South like most Rivers. I think this detail is confusing not only for me. but for others unfamiliar with the terms up and down in reference to the Columbia. Georger I know it is elementary for you but would you make a small post explaining this and what is meant by washed back up stream. It is referenced often in the thread - and I wonder if others have the same difficulty as I do..... Silly Request from the Dumb Broad with Blonde Root. Based on the weather reports for Nov. 24, 1971 and the following 2 days - there was NO extreme cold weather. I really think Cooper took shelter with the canopy and perhaps huddled in a foresty tool shed that first night...by following the tower lights and knowing the terrain. He kept moving thru the night until he was exhausted and/or felt safe. I just wrote and erased and re-wrote and erased again an accounting about cold feet and an incident involving Weber, but decided it was NOT for public knowledge. I will briefly state that at one time in our marriage on one evening he obsessed about Cold Feet and this went on for a couple of hours with his taking his shoes off and one. ----------------------------- Definitely not saying Cooper touched down in a planned LZ (or if there was one)- just saying he was able to see enough of the landmarks before hitting the ground to be able to know which direction to head. Cooper had lots of landmark targets one could see from the sky or in the fall. He knew exactly how the landmarks lined up - he knew this terrain extremely well. --------------------------------- I know he landed safe and alive, but I will NEVER be heard - like the tree falling in the forest...and like my dream. Perhaps there will be one more tree to fall - others might hear it and not recognize the sound. The FBI will have their earplugs in, but they will feel vibrations. When Cooper jumped he knew it was do or die. He went down that Aft Stairs with his back to the rear of the plane and when he was at the end he was holding on with his Right hand and with the Left hand on the rip cord - after all the chute was rigged for a lefty. (Not sure I understand the pull thing.) He basically bailed with no free fall - when he let go of that plane he was sure he was going to die. During WW11 pilots who had never jumped survived their very first ejection (or go down with the plane). In situations like this our bodies go into Survival Mode, even with serious shrapnel and bullet wounds. There was a war and what was below them was there and they handled that also.. The weather and the temperatures were NOT very serious as they came upon the Orchards area and South of there. When you are talking extreme temperatures - it was only for a few seconds in the air. The ground temp was 40 degrees plus and no one knows what Cooper was wearing under the shirt, pants, jacket and rain coat. The student sitting across from him (Mitchell) said he saw something sticking out from under Coopers pants - could have been a jumpsuit or insulated undergarments or both. When Cooper landed he also had his canopy for protection from the elements. You can be sure he had gloves in the pocket of is coat and ankle snap rubbers in the other pocket. The temperatures the next day were very tolerable and winter sports prevailed including kids fishing and lots of other outside activities including unorganized ground searches for Cooper. Early the next morning at 5 AM and 6 AM guys going to work called in reports of others walking on the road - the public was out walking and looking for Cooper or his money. Perhaps Cooper was NOT a novice jumper and maybe he had jumped in WW11 into Belgium or other places. Lots of guys got hurt when they hit the ground, but we won the war. Just how much instruction to you think our guys got in WW11 - they pulled that D-ring and prayed. These guys also didn't wait very long to pull the D-ring. Watch some of the clips of WW11 and be amazed at how fast the chutes deploy as soon as they exit. These guys needed to stay close and they DID not do any free fall. Does anyone here think Cooper took time to free fall? He pulled that ring and then he used what sense he had left to site his intended targets as he approached the ground. (Even if it was hazy at 10K it was not at 5k, 3k, etc.) As the chute drifted toward the ground he managed to site the towers and other well lit landmarks and his approximate positioning to those landmarks. To think he landed in the pitch of night with no identifying marks is ludicrous. Yes, Cooper survived - and the FBI almost had Cooper - but, they just didn't see it. They were told about this "d", but when they inquired about him - was he dead? or Did he have an unbreakable alibli? Anyone who thinks the jump was NOT survivable needs to talk to some WW11 veterans who will vouch for Cooper surviving. The FBI IS NOT investigating the hijacking and it is about time others realize this. We can spend our time with the mundane and debating if Cooper survived and how the money got to Tina's Bar...but what is going to solve this is some OLE FASHION investigating coupled with the technology of today. Actually this is going on now - but without the FBI releasing or making more uncensored FILEs available to researchers and family members of suspects - they will be plagued by Cooper till the end of time...at least for another 12 yrs. In 12 yr there will be NO ONE left alive who will have the information needed to bury Cooper. The FBI's actions - HINDER the Cooper Investigation. Everyday that goes by the chances of anyone remembering this "d" become even more minute. Infact this support is almost non-existent at this time in 2009...it will take almost a miracle to prove who Cooper was...and I have held the key in my hands for 14 yrs. It is like being in a room full of people and they do not see or hear you - perhaps I am already dead. I actually experience this daydream on Monday - a little unsettling! I think it is time for ALL Cooper Sleuths to join forces for Access to the Cooper Files. Divided we fall - United we have a good chance of solving this crime. What do I want out of those files? - just the name of every suspect ever given to the FBI and the reason they ruled that suspect out. Cooper would be approx 83 give or take a couple of yrs if he was still alive. I am sure if these suspects are still alive and innocent they will probably get a kick out of a Cooper contact. What we do not want to do is make the same mistake the FBI made - rule them out if they were already dead in 1971 or if they had an alibi. A preacher could be conducting a service on November 24, 1971, but the question should have been "Where were you in 1946? The problem with all of this is the assumption it was not floating (which more than likely it did sink). Please take the next statement and give me your professional opionion of what happens to the money. What happens if you bury the money along the shore line just above Winterly Park sometime in the early fall of 1979. Ignore the paper bag in the river just below the Portland Bridge, but with your knowledge what would have happened to money buried across from the airport and East of Winterly Park. Maybe it was in some kind of container and weighted or he just buried it there (all we had was a snow shovel) - as a symbolic jester and later it was washed out by the currents and tides of the Columbia. This is pure conjecture because of the time he spent on the water at that location. I believe if Cooper was Weber that he retrieved the money from another site within 1 hr drive of the Dalles - about 5 days prior to putting it in the river. "The top bundle did the looking. The bottom bundle did the steering. The spirit of the bundles went ashore at Tina Bar . . . the wind was easy, mild, and meak with bundles miles to go before they slept.. " I literally read the above statement and was cackling out-loud. Georger, I had this vision of those little bundles you see in the commericials with sets of eyeballs, but they had stick hands for the paddles and stick legs to go ashore with...I think they were floating on an ice cream bag. I am sorry, I just can't stop laughing, The best joke you ever made,..and I bet you had this dead serious look on your face writing it. Since I have read only Norjax, What Really Happened, Ha Ha Ha and Tosaw's book. I ruled out Hahaha and Norjax real fast - so it was Gunther or Tosaw and BOTH claimed to have interviewed Tina. My memory without going back to the book says Tosaw's book. Are you 100% these were available in 1971 or did they come about after the hijacking? 377 - regarding the subject of flotation devices: In one of the books (don't remember which one) there is a "CLAIM" that Tina Mucklow said the corner of a green "plastic" like bag was sticking out from the pocket in the back of the briefcase. There was no other mentions of this bag by FBI or others - also the shade of green was never stated. I wonder if this is not one of those little pieces of fiction that gets retold over the yrs. Anyone else remember reading this? Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber

Fragments of Previous Post Almost immediately after the Highjacking the FBI was in California chasing some leads. The FBI's rule of confidentiality meant the names of these suspects were never revealed and they will not reveal them to this day. Obviously they were checked out and ruled out. They either had an alibi or they were deceased. Think about deceased - a dead man could not be Cooper...end of investigation. Are any of you aware that during the war effort lots of the guys had families and did not want to ship out - and became a CPS. Some of these CPS's would later fulfill their obilgations. ======================= When I made the above post - I was HOPING for some feed back. The FBI will NOT give the names of suspects reported to them from the CA area. Also the suspects reported to the FBI by service men who claimed they served with a guy who they thought was Cooper. I want to know how to find the names of the suspects. Guru was a suspect (he talks about the FBI thinking he was Cooper). There has to be CA. jumpers and service men the FBI investigated and people do talk about this just like Guru does (they just do not read this forum). In the CA news and NV news and the skydiving communities - surely there was TALK. How do I find these people? CAN anyone help? It has been decided that I will have to go to CA, but I was hoping it could be done without my trying to make that trip. The fact that the archives and pictures and material have been scattered thru - serveral states means the trip might be futile. There has to be an easier way. THE DAMN FBI has the names they investigated, but won't supply them even to noted researchers - the FBI either doesn't want to solve this or they are jerks. If the names are given to a NOTED researcher who also knows more about WEBER's background than I do - for this person to make the name comparisons and look for the connections - Would the FBI do that? HELL NO! I nor the public would have access to the information - just the researcher on a confidentially basis. The FBI doesn't even trust a noted researcher - because the information might used for other purposes. NOTHING makes sense about the "closed" files regarding Cooper and why after I contacted them yrs ago about a specific thing they immediately made certain records from 1944 - 1951 - NOT accessible until 2015 and some later than that. The individuals who ordered the classification - KNEW there was NO WAY I would be alive in 2015. Another record they knew I was interested in was closed until the 2030's. These record where open and then closed - NONE of this makes sense.. Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber

If the Co-pilot had the controls that mean he was sitting on the right side of the plane. Correct or incorrect? The Pilot sits on the left and the co-pilot on the right. I ASSUME the above with my little knowledge of airplanes. It was established Rat the co-pilot claimed to have seen the hazed suburbs of Portland which means Vancouver. I have never really understood if the Cooper was sitting on the left or right of the plane, but it really makes no difference, because he asked Tina to turn the cabin lights off before she went forward. When Duane took me on that trip in 1979 he pointed out the towers. I looked at some maps Sluggo brought to me after accidentally getting a view of my marked map upsided down. Duane made this comment about one - one SE of Lake LaCames. "There used to be a tower over there". With Sluggo's maps I saw something else I was unaware of - 3 airport towers in a row. This is what Cooper would have seen out of the left side of the plane at the same time Rat saw the haze over Vancouver. One of these towers I am not sure was there in 1971, but there were other types of towers. I presume from looking at OLD maps one tower in 1971 could have been Prune Hill or Crisman. I do not know if the tower at the airstrip on 267th /SR-500 was there in 1971. It is now called Grove Field and may have been so in 1971. Does anyone have any idea what happens when you follow these towers and the route you would take using the towers as your guides starting with the Orchards area ? Do you know WHERE it takes you? IT takes you to the area he took me - Coopers route out of the area. All of these towers point right to the area where powerlines crisscross and the Pipeline crosses at that same intersection in 2 places. He could follow the pipelines or the powerlines to take him to the Marina. There was a beacon on Woodburn Hill in 1971 - just encase he over shot, but that wasn't his goal. The next paragraph actually occurred, but at the time I had NO REASON to connect it to Cooper or Duane. An expression Duane stated "If you want to get away with a crime go right back at them". This is exactly what he did - when he took that boat from the Marina and let it loose near the PDX. All of this because I happened by chance to be viewing a map up-sided down after marking the things he told me about and the area he took me to. Everyone has tried to make Cooper"s escape complicated. It was simple and didn't take a pilot or a lot of aeronautic knowledge. The flaps and speed could have been learned thru his brother's association with Boeing and conversations and maybe thru some type of employment or military association. The chute part I don't have an opinion, because I have never seen one up-close nor have I ever touched one Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber

Do you also have issues with all of the subjects and suspects presented in the last 37 yrs. If you feel I am twisting facts to fit theory - I apologize. I have taken what I do know and tried to find an explanation for them. The only explanation anyone can come up with is that I am dislusional - that I didn't see what I saw or hear what I was told. Recently I have had some help on verifying the things I have claimed. The FBI was of no help at all - they shared your opinion for whatever reason and have ignored me. Understand I am not someone in your age bracket or background and without the ability to lay everything out as you young people do. I change subjects in the middle of a sentence - which makes me very difficult to follow. My mind is going faster than I can talk...I think the person on the other end is aware of everything I am. Even Sluggo mentioned that I did not present my case well. I never intended to have to present my case - I am not an attorney. What was expected was the FBI would take the information and work with it - but after the initial interview not one agent called with questions - about what the interviewing agent took from me . In a short period of time I am telling him about 17 yrs with this man - he was not recording this - just taking notes. Now how much of what I said do you think he wrote down? The guy had a sketchy idea of who Cooper was, but knew little of the details (he was a local FBI agent). One agent told me a few days ago that the Cooper case was Closed...I think that is news to everyone on the forum. I informed this agent the CASE was NOT closed. I am NOT analytical nor an investigator - that is not my job that is the FBI's job to take the information and apply it and test it. Like yourself they come from a completely different era - and I am unable to relay the information in the orderly manner they require. This has been like a giant gigsaw puzzle - and at times I have been quilty of trying to make the pieces fit simply out of frustration. What I have done if you will notice is stay with what I do know - and pouring more of it out there hoping someone might find that needle I have been looking for. Believe me it would have been healthier for me to have walked away from this yrs ago - but, I know what I saw and what I held in my hands and what he said to me. With all of the people besides this thread working on this hopefully someone will find some answers - I know 2 of the places the answers lie in and I have been denied access to both. The FBI agent told me to give them the names and they would check them against the suspect files - it is NOT that simple. Duane Weber used many aliases and some of these were not even known to the FBI or to me. They should know what names he used in 1944- 1949 - if they do they aren't telling me. The FBI also knows the names presented in 1971 that came out of California, but won't provide them - if these guys checked out then they should not have a problem with that. The other area of Duane's life is 1962 - 1966. The FBI will NOT talk about...but, I have filled most of this in with the exception of ONE thing - seems John C. Collins was not licensed to sell insurance in Mo or Ks. So this opens up another can of worms. Since his stepchildren verified his working with Pyramid Life in Ks - I believe this to be a simple error and the insurance company has purged its record. I wish that email or letter had been dated. Galen is right about this - why are a privileged few allowed to view the files and the rest of us are not? Gathering from the details listed in that letter - it was written early this yr in 2009. We all know they saw something they were NOT supposed to see - but what? If anything has been hidden - it is because certain individuals do NOT want it known now. Use this senario - What if something has been revealed to the FBI and the agent of record was able to link this to the crime. An FBI agent who takes credit for the "Dan Cooper Comics" on the FBI site would also stoop to other things. I know others would not agree with me, but that is my opinion based on how I was raised. At this stage of the game the only purposed served by hiding information is for personal gain or it really was a cover-up for FAA or CIA actions..and/or something no one has mentioned before, but, I will at this time since the opportunity has been presented. Not sure how to word this - in fact I don't know where to begin it. Note this is a theory - this is a senario - this might be why the FBI wanted to bury Cooper - this might be why the FBI had to make sure Weber was ruled out and why secrets are kept to this day. 1. The name of a suspect was presented in the early yrs. of the crime. 2. In 1971 this name was associated with high profile activity - socially, economically, politically, family ties, religiously etc. 3. The individual had an alibi. 4. The individual did not match the Cooper composite only the general description. 5. Yrs later this individual made a name for himself in his chosen profession. 6. This individual kept his secret - forever fearful the real Cooper would eventually knock on his door. 7. This individual is blackmailed in 1990 by the man who took his place. 8. This individual since 1996 has lived in fear of being unveiled. His life became a sham - it was built on a lie. He confessed that he did NOT go-over and apologized to his family, but that was not enough to calm his quilt. 9. He wrote a letter to the FBI or contacted someone within the system regarding what he did...he maybe terminally ill or have already died. 10. What was his fear - Cooper's widow and her words and her keyboard. Damned that woman! Nahhh! No one keeps a secret to himself that long! - but Cooper did and he did so because he didn't want to spend the rest of his life in prison. The guy he went over for had to keep the same secret or face financial ruin and destruction of his family. What Really Happened - there are so many theories and senarios there will be umpteen dozen books written about Cooper and none of them will get it right...other than Cooper Died sometime on or after November 24, 1971. Jo. Why on Earth would Cooper do something that dumb? Please explain your reasoning. 377 Some theory and what is known about Weber's prior activities and family in the area: Not really dumb - if he left the chute in WA. there would always be the possibililty of it being found and his having left evidence on it - he couldn't take time to wipe all that hardware down. It was cold and damp. He wanted to get somewhere warm. There is a strong possibility he had transportation hidden in the area...such as right on the highway not too far from an airport in Vancouver or at a bar in the area. No one would think anything about a car left at a bar if it was registered in WA. If Cooper used a relatives car - registered in WA and stored because the owner was overseas - who would be looking for it. NO ONE. I think Cooper hid the chute and retrived it in a short period of time. Took it home (out of WA) disassembling it and disposing of parts in different areas. He kept souveniers and they are gone forever unless someone finds that collector who bought a piece of the harness off of me in 1995. I now know the importance of the San Marino Santitarium in CA. and the name on the picture... George Edwards. Wonder if the FBI or anyone else even tried to figure that one out? It took me 14 yrs to do it - no one thought it important but me. Don't even ask - if simple little old me found it then surely the FBI would have been able to do so. Careful Jo. It's a federal crime. I am sure you were making the offer in jest. People, including attorneys, were federally prosecuted for slipping patent office clerks a couple of bucks to expedite requests to make copies of files that were public record. 377 The offer was in jest - guess I should have put a smiley on it. Glad the thread is making a turn. I am trying to be informative about things that have not been looked at by the FBI and stay light about it. Hope I am coming across that way! I try not to say things that will offend others - We all call attention to mistakes made by the FBI. Others talk about their theories and subjects and I will talk about what "we" are doing about mine... Just more garbage in and garbage out - but if I die in my sleep anyone given night then I will have least tried to tell what I have tried to tell for yrs and exposing the mistakes made by the FBI, past and present. Every decade of FBI agents over the past 38 yrs has screwed up in one way or another regarding the Cooper investigation. We are now bearing down on the last part of the 4th decade and as for FBI agents - assigned to the case - I lost count. Bet Sluggo knows how many. Individuals like Sluggo and Jerry and Georger claim to have such a close relationship with the FBI - why don't you guys ask about the CA and OR names given as suspects in the early part of the investigation? What was the result of each investigative effort on these guys. Did they ever ask about Idently theft (it wasn't called that back in the 70's)? Did anyone of them act upset? How many of them were deceased prior to 1971 automatically taking them off the list - but the FBI forgot to find out if anyone else might have used that persons identity. Did they interview any of these deceased individuals - past referencing the time frame of the connecting information. Such as: I served with John Doe in WW11 and he was in my unit in Belgium. I don't know what happened to him, but that joker looked like Cooper and his name was "John Doe". Dead Senario: So the FBI pulls up this guys name and guess what he died - pick a date (1964). Can't be Cooper. BUT, what if the real Cooper had taken John Doe's place in 1944 or after and participated in Belgium. When he got back stateside - they change places again. Cooper pulls the caper and one of John Doe's old army buddy thought it was him...did the FBI verify the man in Belguim was the man who died...using photos. You know they didn't. Alive Senario: Now, on the other hand if the call had resulted in John Doe not being deceased, but having an alibi such as being with his family and with photos on that day in 1971. One would expect he was relative nervous about being questioned, but this John Doe knew who Cooper was because Cooper had changed places with him in the 40's. He didn't know how to contact Cooper or if he was still alive until Cooper contacted him in 1990 (blackmail). Cooper was ill and needed money. If John Doe didn't provide for him he would reveal what they did in 1944 destroying John Does' life as he knew it, subjecting him to military and criminal prosecution. Revealing the trangression of 1944 or 1945 would destroy all that John Doe held dear. John Doe bellies up 50K to Cooper in 1990. Cooper dies in March of 1995, but John Doe lives with the fear of disclosure. Maybe he died the same yr the real Cooper died or

I am afraid to even make a post in regards to the things you are doing because then you might get ignored the same way I do. "My Guy" is also doing ground work, but in another state right now. He was looking for old pictures and records, but was referred to several other places to view the rest of the files. There is so much history that has been buried, archived, scattered thur out the Universities and just plain lost. Reconstructing what seemed to be un-important things from the 40's and 50's is task of enormous undertaking, but we are trying. A lot has been learned in the last few wks, but we are not ready to make any statements. I will tell you this - the FBI did NOT investigate Duane Weber. If they did - it was not much more than a cursory look back but, ,the interviews done by the FBI regarding the van, his friends and associates here in this area seemed to be thorough, Where the screw-up is - other agents who had NO knowledge of Cooper who interviewed an ex-wife. This is the only physical interview outside of local inteviews I know they did. Phone (only) interviews where done on the others I provided them and some were NEVER contacted. As for phyical interviews with the family - they had nothing they were willing to offer and the brother had NOT seen Duane since the 40's except for the time he supposedly order Duane out of his mother's home in the late 50's, but he himself did not remember this incident. The sister was very protective of Duane and begged me to leave the past in the past - I never understood this. If she had something to offer that would have convinced me Duane was NOT Cooper - it makes sense she would have presented it to me at that time. Duane was an embarrassment to his family - but, I find it strange that the only member of his family he made any attempts to contact was his sister. He would call her, but never tell her where he was or give her an address - until about 1984 - when he learned the kidney disease was on the march again and advancing to another stage. It looks like my having to go to WA and CA are inevitable, but I had hoped it could be done without me being there. The FBI doesn't want to solve this case. One agent told me very recently that the CASE is CLOSED. They are taking NO NEW evidence unless you want to send them a long detailed letter - which I know will go into file 13. I am not providing them with the details of our own investigation, but had only one question to ask them about the early stage of their own investigation. This was a simple question, because they immediately went to California looking for Cooper because of leads they received. All leads took them to the places my guy is looking...and the background of Duane took us there. The FBI's search in Ca resulted in NO suspect, because the individuals investigated came up with: 1. deceased 2. No physical resemblance to Cooper 3. Had a solid alibi 4. Unable to Locate If the FBI will relook at those files they refuse to make public and those names - they will find they go right back to Weber. This one simple thing the FBI can do - they refuse to do. So what does the refusal of the FBI to examine these records do - cause one widow and many others countless loss of time and expensive research - the FBI has right in their files and accessible. Sure we can pull names out of a hat for them to correlate their names with, but they need to re-examine those files and after all these yrs make those names public - after all they checked out - right?. So the FBI is not exposing anyone with this disclosure. Remember Cooper would be about 83 now . Those names in the files of the FBI CA/OR investigation of Cooper are the FBI's salvation, but they will need to act quickly. Of course they do nothing, but sit on their hands and the agent of record spends his free time playing super sleuth on a thread from which he took credit for the revealing of the "Dan Cooper Comics" on the FBI site. Now I am being like some others in this forum, but I hope if the FBI reads this they get their you know what in gear. If they can't do this one simple thing - how can they protect anyone? In fact it doesn't need a FBI agent - just a lowly clerk with access to the files. Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015 by Jo Weber

Bruce stated regarding his conversation with Fazio: ======================= God Love you Bruce - Thank Heavens someone beside me has heard almost these same words. This is very close to what was told to the crew - I didn't hear all of Fazio's conversation - I got mad and left after the crew wanted me to pretend this was the place Duane took me. I am not sure this is the same Fazio brother who was there for the documentary - because I forgot the name, but the documentary should name him. Regardless they tell the story the same - time adds things and subtracts things - (give us a break we are all 70+ with a lot of mileage). Ok. Here is some more muck for them to wade thru Don't remember where I got the information below - Old Age and technology don't mix! Seattle-Tacoma Airport was constructed by the Port of Seattle in 1944 to serve civilians of the region, after the U.S. military took control of Boeing Field for use in World War II. The Port received $1 million from the Civil Aeronautics Administration to build the airport, and $100,000 from the City of Tacoma. Commercial use of the airport began after the war ended, with the first scheduled flights occurring in 1947. Two years later, the word International was added to the airport's name as Northwest Airlines Remember one of the old books I have was published for A.W.A.R.E. Air Base Constructors. This information may be useless, but to me it makes Connections between - Boeing, Tacoma and Northwest and Cooper. Wonder if Civil Aeronautics has a record of the sub-contractors and if any employee lists are still available. Not likely after all the government doesn't keep records. Why did this post I made upset Georger, not just upset, but incite? He was combative! Does this post create the same feelings in other posters? Remember the truth will be so ridiculous No One will believe it. Himmelsbach has been quoted some place as saying something very similar to that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Theory, Fiction or Truth Almost immediately after the Highjacking the FBI was in California chasing some leads. In rare incidences - a young service man would not ship over with his unit - claiming illness or a death in the family. This meant he would not be going over with the unit he trained with. This manuever was done in even more rare incidents to allow a "swap". There did exist individuals eager to go to war, but who did not pass mustard. Individuals like Weber who had spent 1 yr plus in the Navy and then some how managed to get into the Army for a brief 3 months. Eager and trained, but not disciplined - one who had become an embarrassment to his family and ended up in a prison. Senario - wayward young man with military training and an embarrassment to his family arranges with a CPS to take his place overseas and the swap is made on the hardship leave. Wayward young man goes to war and the CPS goes into hiding. Later the wayward young man comes home from Belgium and they swap again. Wayward young man ends up immediately in jail again, but the CPS goes on with his life. Yrs later the wayward young man uses what he learned to commit a major crime during a trying time in his life...... When the composites go out - calls go into the FBI saying they served with this man and give them a name. The FBI is on the hunt, but turns out the individual is deceased, has an alibi or doesn't meet the description of Cooper. FBI goes back to WA empty handed. End of story. Or is it only the beginning? A few yrs ago a man made a confession on TV that he had done a swap such as laid out above. He was ill and wanted to clear his conscience, but never named the man who went over for him. There were swaps among cousins, brothers and friends - some for money and some for love of family and country. Mostly fiction, but the truths are there within. . Georger I have NO idea who FarFlung - is and why would you care anyway? Why did my posting about the things I am working on incite you so much? Why do my posts about my theories or what I think even brother you? I didn't get upset when others proposed their subjects - sometimes I even got caught up in their stories about the subjects - such as Waugh and Braden. When I post anything about Weber, who was and still is a suspect - another poster and yourself go bananas..... I have noticed this since day one, but it has also been noticed by others who come to the thread, just to research Cooper. When University researchers are reading this thread - I would say the activity of the posters and the context of what is said and the re-active banter are carefully being analyzed. If you think such people are not visiting the thread - think again, because did not you also come to this thread in search of information and curiosity? The FBI could care less about what goes on here. If the thread could say focused - we will know who Cooper was and how he thought and maybe even the motive for his actions. Even the conversations on the route - and the in-put have collectively determined the route and possible LZ for Cooper. Because of this thread there is more information available on the details of the jump and the route than ever before - but, the researchers have to wade thru all of OUR muck to find them. Note Georger, I said ALL OUR MUCK and that includes myself. Never before has this subject been discussed in an arena of individuals who have the actual collective knowledge necessary to solve the Skyjacking of 1971. No. Georger the trip is not cancelled - we are waiting the results of somethings being done at this moment. The FBI won't do it - and after my conflicts with Jerry (nothing is being done until it can be documented, taped and a video made). NO one will ever be able to say - she didn't do that and she didn't have any witnesses nor accuse me of deception. The FBI didn't even talk to the night clerk for 8 yrs or so and they knew how to contact him. Eight (8) yrs later he had to walk into their office and a private interviewer had to video him. This procrastination by the FBI created a problerm - I felt the man's filmed testimony may have been influence by all of the media attention over these past few yrs. Had it been done time appropriate - His testimony would have carried more weight. I have learned from past mistakes when dealing with the FBI and others - CYA and do it yourself and document it. There are things NO one talks about and the "war swaps" are just one of those things...NO one ever talks about. I expect because of the stigma and how it might affect those still living or that received benefits. A little of this might explain a Commutation of Sentence in the grand old state of Mo. for John C. Collins. Explains promises made and promises broken. Whoever? Whatever? Secrets taken to the grave. Technology prevailed and there was no one to guard the door behind which the secret had been concealed. Yes 377, that is a riddle.
