Really need some information from those who read this forum that have done Night Jumps. What could be seen by Cooper from the plane that night? Since the plane was known to have passed over Lake Merwin and in the general directions of Battleground what would you guys as jumpers be looking for? Would not certain "structures" with red lights located at higher elevations not extend above the clouds or whatever coverage was there? If one could see the haze of Vancover from Orchards as has been contended, would you not also be able to see in other directions other forms of lights such as beacons, etc. Evidently moments of supposed visual opportunity was available to the pilot to site Vancouver, therefore would it not be possible for Cooper to correlate those lights with supposed targets to the East (targets he knew)? On the trip in 1979 Weber pointed out towers, lights, airports - strips, power lines, pipelines, cemeteries, logging camps, etc. Starting in Washougal with 2 strips in that area, multiple towers, and on to other towers. What was his fascination with the towers and the Hat Thing? Why and how did he know the location of very airstrip even if it could not be seen from the highway? (Which I only found from old maps much later and his saying you can't see it from here.) Everything he pointed out to me was a landmark - he told me the names of these landmarks...he was fixated on towers of all kinds and even told about towers that used to be, but where NO longer there in 1979. How long and what would be a reason for someone to know all of the above and how would they acquire that information in such detail? I have been silent and now is the time to speak. Not sure how much I wish to say tonight, but here goes with the first part which is a riddle of sorts, but it really happened last night and falls within the scope of your post about what could be seen by Cooper from the plane that night. I have repeatedly tried to make people understand where Duane took me in 1979. I receive a "map" in the mail yesterday. Last night I marked the map for the gentleman, but still couldn't find the one landmark that made all the rest make sense. I couldn't sleep considering some of the other information I acquired recently so - I made myself some tea and the marked map was on the kitchen counter. It was upside down. So how can an upside down map suddenly make everything else make sense and not change any descriptions I have given? Remember there was always that one thing I couldn't find - and a claim by one the posters all of the area was developed. I will assure you there are more homes, but no WalMart or other such establishment - I had a very busy day on the phone. So 377 if you were to jump in the night in this area - coming out of Battleground what would you be looking for? Sorry Snowmman - He can have the thread. As for me I am going on vacation for a long long time. Want to meet me in California or Washington? Going to both places because there are somethings my guy can't get - without my being there in person. Seriously - I really want to meet you and 377 - and you know my real email address. I will be in Burbank and then to Huntington and then to - a place of secrets. With the documentations in hand I will then be going to WA and there will be 2 stops there. (May be driving this portion, but not alone.) This is really happening and I am glad it will soon be over... Trying to find flight routes that will keep me out of small fast jets as that kind of plane got me in trouble before...ruptured blood vessel in my ear. That was scary and painful. The biggest problem are the flights out of my own area - all small fast jets. I haven't flown that far since the ruptured ear in 2004 - (we went to Loma Linda for Cancer treatment.) This time I make the trip alone with NO one to hold my hand. Using a cane and refusing to check my luggage. Last time I flew to Cinni to bury my husband, they wouldn't let me keep my cane - so I had to ask for help everytime I got up. Because of my health situation I basically made my trip standing as much as I could and generally have to go to the galley area to do that. Never flown 1st class, but I am too cheap to make that effort. My right leg has to be extended infront of me - which mean an outside seat...and right behind 1st class. Any other seat means I spend most of the flight on my feet. The other thing was watching the other passengers so they didn't fall over my leg and at all times being on guard. So much trouble, but the train is an absolute NO because of the time involved and the exposure time...to other passengers. Where is your proof that a family member claimed Duane was with them on Thanksgiving day of 1971. 5. Recently U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson's "You Lie!" outburst during Obama's address to congress has resonated thru out the public figures. This continued verbal rudeness has become the norm recently. Examples - hip-hop artist Kanye West taking the mic. away from the winner to toot his own opinion and then what recently happened during a televised tennis match. It seems Americans are entering a new phase - one in which it is OK to be a Jerk and not apply the information in a way that creates productive information. It seems this forum could concentrate on new information and responsibility in discovering what really happened in 1971 rather than getting involved in ridiculous disputes and careless disregard for responsibility. This behaviour our younger generation is mimicking and this does not teach them to work within the system for results. We (including myself) are an example of what the newer generations are being taught. Our world is becoming increasingly crowded and complicated and disputes will happen. Being a JERK isn't the Solution. Respect and Common Decency are Solutions. If we collectively cannot talk about Cooper in an organized and polite way then perhaps this thread should come to an end. I have tried to refrain from name calling and try to counter the Opinons and Research of others in a respectful manner. We are after all Adults not Adolesence. This is confusing - if the plane flew over Troutdale which is east of Portland, but West of Washougal - this supports Jerry's search East of Washougal and his contention that the bag was carried to the Columbia by the Washougal River...It also supports the area that Duane took me too - below the Camp Bonneville Reservation and then along the power lines to the point it intersects with the lines going South to the Marina. NOTE: I do not believe the fight pattern was over Troutdale...but question why Jerry would support that particual flight pattern. In relation to this: A poster from the past contended that Cooper would have to walk though Camas per the landing area I proposed, but Cooper did not go into Camas. A 1970 map shows this power line going South at SE 23rd along the T1N R3E WM on the West and T1N R4E WM on the East. The powerline going south at that point shows sparce housing along that line to the Marina. The population of homes along that line were easily avoided by someone walking the line - especially if he was wearing a foresty uniform or dressed like a farmer. A walker under the line would have been ignored as no one was looking for Cooper in that area. This power line goes directly to the Marina near the Port of Camas-Washougal. Now to set this up - on the South side of the Columbia is the Sandy River which goes dead on to the East end of the Troutdale airport landing strip which is near the Pacific Union railroad tracks. Therefore if Jerry is correct about the Troutdale route then it suports everything I have told the FBI since 1996. I believe wind drift took Cooper to his landing zone from other proposed flight paths and the plane was NOT as far East as Jerry contends. Cooper actually landed in Washington somewhere within walking distance of the Bonneville Reservation. This was all shared with Jerry in 1997, but I did not have maps and could not make him understand me -

I am looking for specific names and will only state these might begin with F,T,L and R - only one is important and chose the others at random. So much is going on right now and it is overwhelming. A key could be hidden in the Midnight Sun...No not a real key but a key. I have been reading OLD files from 1999 and 2000. Amazing what I am finding that has been just pushed asided - didn't mean anything back then as I was researching anything Duane ever talked about...and my first access to a computer. FLIC stands for Family Life Insurance Company and we actually did have a Colorado Tag using FLIC. On a trip to Wy. a group of young men passed us Flicking their lighters and holding their thumbs up. They were referring to the popular expression of the time - Flick your Bic. Just one of those "memories" I am accused of creating. A trigger word - brings back memories and this is common.

I just recieved a personal email from Jerry asking me yet again to "stop my lies" and that he can prove Duane was NOT Cooper. Remember his claim about proving this with the Georgia record - (CAN'T BE DONE). I don't think anything I present will ever PROVE Weber was Cooper and I challenge Jerry Thomas to do as he said he could - Let records PROVE Duane was not Cooper with his criminal record as he claimed he could do. He should know that the FBI has already stated the DNA was probably contaminated and they do not know if the DNA they have even belonged to Cooper. The same goes for the fingerprints - they never knew if any of those prints belonged to Cooper. Now with those things repeated for his benefit - he needs to present the other proof he claims he and the FBI have. I have already stated several times - nothing I ever say or find will be exceptable to the FBI in putting Duane on that plane - even if I produced the ticket, bag and stub. He makes an opposite claim - that he can prove Duane was NOT Cooper - something he and the FBI knows. Jerry has repeatedly said a family member claimed Duane was with them on Nov 24th 1971 and the followingThanksgiving day. I say to the FBI and Jerry - produce it - and if they have such proof and didn't not inform me of this then SHAME ON THEM. I can assure you it was NOT the ex-wife or her family. They are on tape stating he was NOT with them. The wife claimed they separated after she had her accident in Oct or early Nov. when she drove her car into the Admiral Benbow in the Atlanta area. The woman claims she and her family were in Lawrence, Ks on that Thankgiving and she and Duane had separated. She goes back to him in Feb of 1972 - and they purchase 2 new cars. This is documented with the tax records and photos. If the FBI has anything from the exwife - I have tapes where she told me things she never said to the FBI. The daughter was never interviewed by the FBI, but she is on tape saying she KNEW Duane was Cooper - she asked me not to tell her mother what she told me in that conversation...she was 17 in 1971. This conversation was recorded and the FBI is aware of it. The FBI bungled this valuable lead from the beginning by sending 2 rookies in who knew NOTHING about Cooper nor anything about the Background of this woman and Duane. I had asked them to let me go see her and for them to wire me - hoping she would repeat things some things she had told me before and maybe learning more. The FBI did it their way and you know the results. She did tell them she was NOT with him on November 24 1971 and that she was in Lawrence, Ks. Outside of this individual and her family - I know of NO other Family Duane had. He was not with the Brother or his Sister - except she did live 13miles from where the note was sent by Cooper or prankster to the Reno newpaper from a small place near Modesto. She is the one who BEGGED me to LEAVE the PAST IN THE past and then had a heart attack which I always felt responsible for. Yrs later I would have an opportunity to meet the Brother whom Duane had not seen since the 50's. The brother and I were to have a private conversation after dinner...while his wife intertained my husband (We were at Loma Linda for cancer treatment). While we were eating our meal - there is a call that the sister had had another attack (these are about 7 yrs apart). The brother and I never got to have our private conversation - and talking on the phone was impossible since he was basically deaf. Jerry has claimed that one of the suspects Weber was in jail in Georgia during the time the Cooper Caper was committed. Doing the homework assignment - Weber was not in jail on a DUI or any other charge during the time in question. This time periods extends from Oct of 1971 to February of 1972. You are so good - how and where do you find this stuff? I thought maybe the tie tac was oval, but from what you posted with the comparisons available on the market in 1971 appears it was probably round. Himmelsbach had said it was a pearl onlay - and we now know his description was dead on. Jo coming forth with the story about her husband - actually created new leads regarding other suspects. Christiansen, Gossett, Dan Cooper (TX) and Braden among a long growing list are the results of media and internet searches generated by the interest in Duane Weber. Cook and Grey were communicating with Jo before they went public. There was also 3 others suspects that never made the news. Two of these contacted Jo Weber because they were afraid of going thru the very same things she did and another was presented in Suite 101 several yrs ago. All were advised to contact the FBI and provided the contact numbers. Even the Mayfield accusation came as a result of the Unsolved Mysteries forum - his accusers posted on that site...2 men and one woman. Forum names are Awsee, Popeye, awsi and dbcoopercatcher. To Orange and Snow: I just wanted an upclose pic of the real Cooper Tie Clasp and I have always wondered WHY the FBI does not provide that on it's site. The pictures you guys were nice enough to post and make available were appreciated. I have a hard time with searches because of my eyes - the screen is very hard to see. Thank YOU ALL so very much. I really try not to post anything related to Weber - but regardless of how generic my posts are - Jerry immediately comes in calling me a liar and badgering me. Go back and read what causes me to respond and my begging him to stop because it makes my posts repetitive...perhaps Jerry is the one you should reprimand. I think it is unfair to blame me - am I supposed to just succumb to his accusations? I have begged him to leave me alone and use his posts to advance the discovery process and not focus on me or Weber. I've posted plenty of photos of the tie clasp the FBI has. There's no mystery there. The Nat Geo show had two tie clasps. The FBI one, and another one. How did you see the Nat Geo show Jo? I thought you had some TV problems. NO cable, but Lots of friends and family. My brother made a DVD and sent it to me, but I didn't view it until the other day. I accepted the information the forum provided, but got bored one day and watched it. I didn't see 2 tie tacs though. The little DVD player I bought is real small. Where in this program do they show another clip besides the one with 2 pearls on it? I have one the FBI had on their site but it does Not give a close up of the clip...I have never seen a close-up of the actual clip in the possession of the FBI. What have you done to prove you are right? You never support anything - such as claiming Duane was in jail and could prove it with his records. I listed what I knew and you made no reply. It does not take an imagination to tell the truth. I tell the same story over and over - and just because you do not agree does NOT make it a fabrication You offered to listen and help - only if I will admit to something that is NOT true.That is no way to solve a crime...why would I need your help if I was fabricating a story? Surely there is someone posting here who knows what the real tie tac, clasp or pin looked like. Doesn't any one have a picture of the one in evidence and not just props. With the one shown on the National Geographics - I have cuff links similar to that, but that is not the same item the FBI showed on its site. The one on the FBI site is vague and no close-up unless they have done one since about 1 yr ago. If the National Geographics used a prop which I believe it to be I can bet I know who provided it or picked it - Sluggo. Why, because he knows what the items look like that I have in my possession. Just something else to get Jo on a roll. I have always been told the tie piece was a mother of pearl onlay which I and others might interpret to be a flat pearly surface with varigated textures - commonly a maze of tiny squares that are pressed together into a flat surface. Has to be someone who will answer this question. I have never believed what I had was a match to the description given by the FBI and I threw away lots of other pieces with pearls in them.... The tie tac shown on the National Geo looks to be more of a comtemporary piece and much newer than what one would expect Cooper to wear. That piece was not NON descript, but very distinctive. I finally got to watch that program on a DVD someone made for me. WHEN is the FBI going to show the REAL tie clip. This makes 3 different clips I have seen. Before it was a Mother of Pearl onlay in a flat oval setting and now it is beinging shown as 2 pearls set side by side. Have ALL of the clips shown been props - what does the ACTUAL clip look like? Also they go from pin to clasp to clip. As for Jerry Thomas - I have taken ALL I will take off of him. He was rude and abusive to me on the phone - then he tried to turn around and have a normal conversation like it never happened. If he is capable of conducting a REAL conversation then he can CALL me. I am NO longer health wise able to engage in a combative phone conversation nor one of interrogative prisoner of war tactics. The ball is in his court if he wishes to have a CIVIL polite and quiet talk on the phone...and never ever to call me a liar. A liar I am not. Trying to tell the story about what happened and where I went and what was said and what I saw - is the truth. I would appreciate a call from him telling me HOW and WHY he did not accept the description about the trip I gave him in the beginning about the wide body of water and why did he flip this so as to make it sound like Duane and I went back to the Columbia? WHY he did not talk about or mention the LaCames Lake even after I told him about this old house that was on this "river". I told him the water was not running like on the Washougal and where we went was NOT too far from Washougal. It was long and wide - that is WHY I thought we were on a "river". Jerry was the expert in the area I had been told to get in touch with to help me retrace the route Duane took me on. I trusted Himmelsbach and I trusted Jerry at that time due to the recommendations. It was NOT until I went out to WA (2001) and found the places myself - after Jerry had told others the places (I described) did not exist. At that time Jerry was not considering the Washougal area and now has done a complete about face. I even blamed myself in that My Description was not adequate and accepted the area Jerry said I had to have been on. I accepted this until I went to WA in 2001. When that crew took me to the Columbia at Tena's bar I was adamant that was NOT where Duane took me. When they took me to the Washougal - yes that was one of the places the took me, but they never took me to Lake LaCames or the old mansion. NOT one person until the ANGEL Udell even mentioned the area and she did NOT give me a name but just said "after you cross the bridge in Washougal - turn left and if you have ever been there you will know it". At this point is when I asked the driver what was along our left side (we where driving West after turning left in Washougal after crossing the bridge). He told me the Washougal. I immediately told him - that Jerry had told me there was NO way the Washougal could be on my left. On down that road I told the driver to turn Right. At this point he told me that if we had continued on our road would have dead-ended. When we made that right turn going due North - immediately I saw the things that I had remembered from the trip. The driver maintained a safe rate of speed but did not speed up or hesitate until - I SCREAMED "TURN TURN TURN " I was screaming and pointing. I saw a street sign. When Duane had taken me into this area - showed me these places and said the things he did - I thought to myself I might need to remember this place. When we left that area he had tried to turn me around and let me think we were on a river. As we left I saw this one sign and made a note in my memory bank. Remember - my visual recall ability. All of the routes the crew had taken me on did not go there. After we turned the Driver told me this was the only turn that could take us to any body of water in that area. Immediately I saw the things I recognized - things had changed over the 20 plus yrs - I found everything but that hill or small mountian (knob) - that small peaceful fenced place Duane took me with all of those rocks on it and pointed out beyond the boulder strewn field stating how the pipelines and powerlines converge and how you could walk for miles under them before the undergrowth was there and the small creek running on the other side that came out at the road. He also mentioned a creek that came out of the Bonneville Camp area under power lines and that the pipeline ran through the Reservation. This is why I am angry - Jerry did not listen to me in 1997 with his heart. He heard a story and made me think there was NO WAY I could have been in the places I said I was. He even convinced me I didn't know what I was talking about...and I accepted his answers about where we may have been until May of 2001. I tried with all of my heart and soul to be heard and by the time I was - NO ONE believed it - NO one would listen. At that time I could ill afford to go back to WA. and I had entered into a relationship which later was a marriage. I will never forgive myself for getting on that plane and coming back to FL before finding someone in Law Enforcement or with the FBI to have gone back to the area. I guess I was still trusting the FBI or Jerry to do it - it never happened. My last converstation with Jerry prior to his coming to this forum in 2001 was asking (why he had not told me about this area). Letting him know I found the area I had diligently over and over tried to explain to him. Yet, I had accepted his explanation for a period of time and that was damaging to the truth. I learned one thing Never Back off of what you know and remember - Never let anyone lead you. PS I have absolutely NO reason to Make a "deal" with Jerry. I have admitted that for a brief period of time I accepted his explanation until I saw the areas for myself....Lake LaCames was not the Columbia he had convinced me I had to be on. I kept telling him the banks where not high enough to be the Columbia. He didn't listen to me. Duane and I crossed the Columbia and went over to Highway 14 after we left the Dalles. At this point we traveled along the Columbia until we reach Washougal. I would NOT see the Columbia again until several days Later on our return trip from Seattle. Prior to this I had NEVER been to Portland - the return trip was the first time in my life I ever sat foot in Portland. I had told Jerry that where we crossed the Columbia on our trip up - that we DID not go to Portland - that we crossed way before Washougal. Jerry had me fully confused and the only map I had was one that showed half of the US from California to Washington to Ks (half of the USA). Sluggo and others whose names are lost to me at this time did send maps after my trip in 2001. Had someone provided me with these maps prior to 2001 - that trip to WA would have counted big time. I lost a lot of good yrs because I didn't have proper maps. Someone did send some copies of the Vancouver area from a Thomas Guide (prior to 2001) but they were of no use to me.
