When Cooper put that money there it was a salute to an old friend or just disposing of useless money - little did he know he perpetrated a legend that would out live him. When the money was found and he learned the money was traceable - he hit the high road or was it the low road? He was prepared at that time to sacrifice all he loved to keep his freedom. Well, the media died down and he went on with his life until the books came out in the mid 1980's. By then he knew his time on this earth was limited. He made a trip to retrive what was left in a safe deposit at a great risk of being found out - but he knew his time was limited - so what he had was his insurance (what was left of the money he had tucked away). What he needed now was a means to WASH the remaining money and selling old stuff thru a shop was the perfect setting. No one was looking for Cooper money and most of it had been WASHED at the Casino's. He was free and he wasn't dying in a prison. We often think we are immortal and he waited too late to reveal what he had done - he tired thru the morphine and even refused medication to be able to communicate with his wife. She just did NOT get it - He cursed the situation - Oh! Fuck! Let it die with me! SHE wasn't getting it she didn't understand! They wiil come out when the FBI talks to me about them - face to face. If the FBI does NOT step up to the plate with certain things they have held back on the the records I have will be made public, BUT not in this thread! Hell! I cannot even open a PDF file! How the hell would I send ONE. Everytime U guys do a PDF it goes to pictures and all it say is there is NO picture there so it won't open the file. Blevins one time sent something a special way so I could read it. Like Georger said - My skills are those of a 3 yr old on the computer. The old photo program won't let me add new photos and so I can't even scan anymore - I am just stuck with what I have in the file I typed it off word for word - but the actual document - get it from the prison yourself! Both conversations the statement was made - I figured it was because Cooper would be in his late 80's. If Duane was alive he would be 88 yrs old turning 89 this summer. I didn't think to say" HOW do you know Cooper is dead"....I do not even know if he said probably. I called the FBI in the past and never got past the mouthpiece. On these 2 conversations I got thru to what I thought was the agent of record. One clerk told me there was TEAM working on it and I insisted on speaking to a specific agent. He was very nice and unlike the mouthpiece I got the last few yrs and the recordings. I figured my messages were NEVER heard - just discarded. I had actually been able to make progress until CARR took over - why I hate him. He never checked anything I gave him - nothing, IOTA! He had the same materials I worked with plus! The only VOICE I have had since 2002 has been this thread. NOW U know why I cling onto this thread - it is my only means to be heard. The FBI was NOT listening. The DZ was the only one who gave me a voice - a means to make what I know known. Thankfully others have stepped in recently. I have gotten my hopes up in the past for a WASH and worst. Such as BK. Struggle to hold on to my sanity with the neighbor from hell who cause the smoke inhalation and my surgery failure. I am not a candidate for more surgery. CARR wanted to make a name for himself - he was too full of himself to admit an old woman did a better job. When he road the Comic angle it made me sick to my stomach - I wanted nothing to do with him after that. He had what I had and he could not see it and he did not have an explanation for it and no one in this thread does. Shutter I think when U actually looked at the files I quoted over the computer - it was plain as the nose on your face...but even U did not want to admit it. Check out the old saw mill records and the old rail records and it is all there. I can't get on a plane and go to WA, but there are those out there whose job this is and a job they should have done 15 yrs ago. There will be pictures of those old sawmills and the buiding of rails and dams and tressels - you will find Duane in those pictures. NO one would look and I could not afford to go back and could not afford to go when I did. I did all I could with the time & money I had. The witness accounts also back this up. I was with him when he put that money in the river. Hell, I don't know which one they found at Tena's bar. There was The Red LIon where he threw the bag in the river and the place across from the PDX where he went down to the river bank alone - I did not get out of the car until he came back up to the road. Since I have been hit with false leads before - I look at all of the leads skeptically, but when I started to view the better maps and realized the other places he took me and then started to piece the pieces together it was too late for me to do anything about it. NOW someone else will have to finish it for me. I have for yrs recited the areas Duane talked about and showed me - things he could NOT know if he had not lived there and worked there for sometime. YET, no one cared to even look or check it out. NO one! BECAUSE they trusted the FBI to do their job. I trust NO one NO more! It was right there in the criminal file and in the story I told. THIS is a very long post I know but I don't give a hoot - not anymore! NOT any more. NOW I am pushing the envelope and time to GO public again and I do NOT interview well. It would be best for the FBI to get off their ass and really check this shit out - NOW! Not next month or next yr. NOW! Time for the FBI to admit they DROPPED the BALL 17 yrs ago. Perhaps there was some good DNA on Weber and good prints at that time and the minds of possible witnesses were 17 yrs younger - but the FBI did NOT ever show the RIGHT photos to anyone. THEY hung out with the prison composites. HELL the one they made so public looked nothing like the Weber I knew and it was the one they showed and it was distorted and I told them so in 2001. THE FBI never made the Jefferson composite public and I could NOT even get one. That was the closest they had to 1971. What was the purpose of concealing the Jefferson composite? The composite the FBI use was one the brother found in the family file and he distorted it when he scanned it. I have a full body that proves he distorted it with the scan - In that old full body pic Duane's body is distorted and it was made in CA. Not a very good photo to start with. Hell, after 41 yrs they will never be able to put a suspect on that plane unless the found glasses I heard about where regular prescription glass. I understand they are at FORT LEWIS per JT. WHY Ft. Lewis - if they were sunglasses I understand that one, but if they were prescription glasses - gimme a break. Especially if they were found about where they thought Cooper landed. I remember very well that 1st discussion this yr. I remember what the man said to me. The only way they would investigate anyone was if someone produced a 20. Outside of that the case was being closed. They can no longer allocate funds regarding a case where 200,000 was taken. He stated in both conversations. "Cooper is dead - there is no one to prosecute". Nothing regarding any suspect will be investigated unless the person contacting the FBI puts the suspect on the plane. I had called about the Spokane record being ignored and wanted to know why they missed that. I did NOT expect the ensuing conversation above to take place,but it did. Then I called back a couple of wks ago after being contacted by another person about some information I had received. The agent again reinterated they are NO longer investigating any suspect unless the person can put the suspect on the plane. Again I mentioned things in Duane's background the FBI missed, but there was NO reply to that. End of conversation. He suggested I write a book and I told him it wa a little too late for that. If I was looking for a book or movie - I would have done that yrs ago, but I wanted to know the truth....and that is all I am still seeking. Who was the man in Colorado - 2 of them who knew Duane from the past. One in Castle Rock and one in Loveland (maybe it was Greely) at any rate it was hole in the wall bar and Rick was the steel guitar man Duane knew and his wife Elaine played the guitar. I need explanations for the thing Duane told me in WA and the places he took me. If he was just yanking my chain - that would have been a little ridiculous since I knew little to nothing about the crime. The safe deposit box, CARR refused to check out and the time line with the airline ticket to Omaha and if John Collins had a box there closed in 1990 and opened in early 1980. Why leave me with a confession and a magazine I didn't understand? HOW did he know the area like the back of his hand without a map. What was his history there. U pick up the PHONE yourself and make the CALL - be sure you get another agent beside Gutt. See what kind of answer U get! I am sure after Blevins made his post that GUTT has gotten other calls - I wouldn't want to be in his shoes. The FBI probably will even ask about the forum. The agents are NOT sharing their knowledge - U have senior agents who want to be the ones to close the case or solve it and they are NOT sharing info with the other agents. When mulitple individuals call the FBI and they are given different answers - there is something wrong with the system. I have proved it with the information I found on the criminal record. I called the FBI down in 2001 for mis-information and I am not hesitant to do it again. PRODUCE Duane's entire Criminal record and account for every missing yr. Not just question marks - I want the actual paper work like I have from Folsom, SanQuentin, Canon. It was not my postings that drowned your trip out and your contributions to the case. Remember JO did that same thing for 15 days with a sum total of over $5,000 for the trip. There are men on the ground as we speak exploring the things I have discussed in this thread and the questions I asked. I have had 2 conversations with the FBI in the last 2 months. I was told the CASE is CLOSED. One was just in the last week. The only thing that will produce any investigations is one of the $20's or something else that will put a suspect on the plane. Outside of that CASE CLOSED! Cooper is Dead! They do NOT feel they need to leave the CASE open or to expend in monies on the case. HE didn't say this but this is my opinion of what he was saying. If someone contacts them with EVIDENCE that puts their suspect on the plane - it will be looked at. With NO evidence putting the subject on the plane there will be NOTHING...not even a cursive review. The agent I spoke with was NOT Gutt - so I do not understand how many agents are working on this right now and why they are not all in sink with each other on their replies to the enquiries. Well, then he was on his way back to CA to face charges there - so we all know that in 1949 he was in the hands of the CA authorities and sent to SanQuentin/Folsom where he served also for the Ohio deal. 45 to late 49. Was in the honor farm but escaped - NOW when did you guys say that escape occured? When did you say the incident for which he was arrested in Ohio occurred? Seems like the FBI LOST these files! Yea. The Folsom / SanQuentin file (just shows served concurrently) and the Ohio - -? That was also how it was addressed on the Jefferson file - -? There is a chance the Camino photos and records where put on a site with the incorrect date. Those file photos might be incorrectly dated 1943 to 1944. That makes things work better on the dates and time, but with out the specific files from Ohio which no long exist - unless the FBI managed to get a copy before they were destroyed! NO ONE would or could believe the REAL story and yet NO ONE believes Duane was Cooper! How many yrs can a secret be kept? No one believe any of the other suspect are Cooper? Was the skyjacker a man with a death warrant? Did the skyjacker receive a bounty in 1990 for a deed done well or was it blackmail or did he just retrieve the rest of his bounty? No One would ever have conceived that 41 yrs later this well orchestrated crime would still remain unsolved - Oh, I did say well orchestrated. Only one person can keep a secret for a life time or did Cooper just vanish off the face of the earth? If he died in 1971 who buried his body? Who planted the money in the Columbia? Did Cooper double cross someone? Was Cooper loyal to the end? Was Weber a delivery boy? Was the purpose of the money being put on the banks of the river - to put an end to Cooper? Cooper destroyed many lives and he will continue to do so...until the truths are known. No one expected technology and the internet to advance to the point - the crime might actually be solved. Has the truth surfaced and made the FBI feel so awkard they recite defacation regarding an individual or to extinguish the truth? FBI agents who denounce a witness before or after the fact without proof, they themselves are quilty of a crime by the denouncement alone. Solving Cooper could be fatal, but to whom? Want to keep this out of the circuit, but I need for you to seriously explore the "other route" Cooper could have taken. Doing searches on some of your old posts! Back when U made some sense and not let yourself get caught up in all of the bickering. Need to talk a EASTWARD route Cooper could have made. Need your opinions and expertise on that...and why the FBI dissed it. 1. How severe was the weather in that area for about 3 days or so after the crime? 2. The truck logging bridge has already been verified - so he if he landed on the North side of the river - this is still do-able. 3. A man was seen walking in that area with a container of some kind. Around day break the day after the jump. The man who saw this was very creditable and his wife contacted me YRS and YRS ago. There were reportings of other sitings along that route posted in this thread. 4. The FBI thought the sitings were too far East - so did they not check them out? 5. A pair of glasses was found, but I do not know where. Understand they are at Ft. Lewis. Is that true? 6. What kind of glasses are they and why did the FBI rule them out? 7. The sunglasses Cooper wore where cheap and over the counter and not prescription. 8. The found glasses - need the location and type of glasses. Would be great to actually see a picture of those glasses. 9. Since the are supposedly at Ft. Lewis (per JT) - why are they not with the other items collected regarding Cooper? 10. What encampments existed in the 50's along that trail? 11. What was the source of the manpower utilized? 12. What did those temporary lines carry - timber? I think. They went to the saw mills. Right? 13. Are there any pictures of those sawmills in the late 50's. 14. Are there any fricking records of any kind? Just screw your head on and ignore all of the other postings. It is hard to do, but if this case will never be solved unless one thinks outside of the box and NO one actually went into this part of the maze. I am not the problem here except on occassion! Can we get on this subject and stay focused? Really need to know why U considered this route way back when. What is your opinion of the feasibility - ignore those who have no knowledge of the subject. Do you know anyone who lived there in the late 40's and worked the area that might be able to shed some light on this? Rails and sawmills - and those who worked there. They kept the country going with a minimum of iron to work with for rails. They lived in encampments - WHERE? Can we find old maps from 1945 to the 60's that might show these encampments? Where are the old sawmill records? Just post and ignore the other stuff going on. What I am trying to do. We need a focus and NO one has ever focused on this part of what could be. What was the date of that email. The agent I spoke with was Curtis Eng. WHY 2 different stories from the FBI. Wish I had mine in the form of an EMAIL. Dams, train bridges and barracks and Rails. The things Duane told me - for some reason I am sleeping a lot and I am dreaming a lot the last few days. Rails take them up, put them down! Raise that bridge and that is my cot. Rail construction - a temporary rail - take them up and move them - steel was in short supply. A sawmill near Beacon Rock and Duane mentioned the guys and Beacon Rock and jumping off of rocks. I thought he was talking about being a kid and little rocks. Not sure what all of this means. The road - the moment I heard the name the memories flashed. Do not know how it is spelled. Keuffler Rd (how it sounds). Duane mentioned the road off of Hwy 14. HE was going on about the guys. A camp and a sawmill. He had pointed out a saw mill later on that day on the South side of Lake LaCames. I was told it was a FEEDING Station - I didn't understand what Duane was talking about. He said there was a Sluthe that went all the way to the water. Duane worked those sawmills and helped build a dam. He told me the names of these hills and mts. They all had at one time some old temporary rails connecting them....can't find these rails on any maps because they were temporary depending on where the work was. There were a couple of short lived threads on other forums (not the DZ) and I didn't have a clue what I was doing - I was just looking for information. Blevins say he spoke to the FBI. Well, I spoke to the FBI 3 times since the 1st of the yr. The case is CLOSED and they are doing no more investigating into the matter. 1. January - Confront with Spokane record 2. March - Case is ClOSED Agent of record. 3. April (today) Case is CLOSED. NO more investigating into the case. Another party calls FBI today and then emails me - was told CASE CLOSED! The party was asked if they were connected to JO & the DZ group. I had NOTHING to do with this party contacting the FBI. My call had nothing to do with the other party. ODD set of co-incidences I guess! I had found some old records regarding something I had been working on. but what I had found would NOT put Weber on the plane! I had spent most of the day on the phone and the computer with WA. State. Old forestry records and rail records. Something I found GOT my attention - but the FBI cut me short - I could put Duane in WA, but I had to put him on the plane. In researching old records and old maps - I found something regarding Saw Mills and the tracks connected and something Duane had mentioned on the trip. I wanted to know if this would help - but it didn't put him on the Plane. What it did do was put him in WA, but it was only my word and my memory.
