You are going back to a time prior to my having a computer in 2000. I did not come to the DZ until 2004 if I remember correctly. One thread (not a Cooper thread) helped me open the one before this and it was crashed early on by a lot of weird postings. Then Quade opened this one with a severe warning to everyone with the 1st post! In the archives are lots of old Cooper posts that never got to first base - I haven't looked to see if they are still there or not. Jo Weber was the one who kept them on track with the actual details in the books and the media - some of the guys could really screw up the facts pretty badly! I am the one who kept a lot of them on track with facts from the books and didn't let the false stories some of them recited to become part of the Cooper story! Robert99: There would have been NO Cooper thread if It was not for Jo Weber. All of the other threads on the subject all failed in a short period of time as did the one before this on. I have tried to keep out the smart off the all remarks such as have been thrown at me by Meyer and Shutter. I was the only reason SafeCrack was here. I was here before Sluggo, I came for help and I listened and I told my side, but then the trolls came aboard and I had to make unnecessary posts. Carr - gave a lot of MIS-information and some very incorrect information. He created things like the Comic connection from what another poster commented about - and EVEN made it part of the FBI web site. I did my exploring with everyone else and followed all of the theories. Now we have "others" since I am susposed to be nice who needle everything I say and drive it into the ground...asking me for proof and forgetting or simply not caring why I came here in the first place. The FBI re-affirmed - this case is CLOSED! There will NO more investigation of the D.B.Cooper case unless the party can put their suspect ON THE PLANE. Since the FBI does not want to review what has been found with the new evidence, I made the choice to move forward in a VERY public way. The circumstancial evidence accumulated and surrounding Duane L. Weber - is over whelming. Perhaps some of the recent information is a hoax, but that too will be exposed should this be the case. There will be no room for NAY SAYERS and trolls. After ALL of the information has been presented, if the naysayer and others want - they can find their own medium to do so, but they are NOT part of the Weber story. When this goal is accomplished I will walk and try to enjoy what is left of my life. The solutions to the Cooper saga have been sitting right there from the beginning and some diligence on the part of others with DOCUMENTATION could have prevented my using the last 17 yrs of my life and doing the job our government pays other to do. A case will be made for FULL disclosure if the deceased accused has been exonerated by the FBI. NO disclosures have ever been made to me other than one 2 paragraph letter in 1998...and being publicly humiliated in a thread by persons representing law enforcement using limited background information regarding Weber. I have been able to refute some of that with actual government documents. With out the unending diligence of research by other individuals over the past few yrs I would NOT be able to take what we have public. Will this prove Weber was Cooper? Probably not unless we can in the process PUT Weber on that PLANE! What it will do is show that a lot of individals over the last 40 plus yrs dropped the ball in this investigation. Some of this was lack of communication between the different states and law agencies in the past. Perhaps that has been improved in recent yrs., but no one wants to admit the Cooper investigation was FLAWED. This is NO longer just about my story, but every victim of the system who has offered information regarding old crimes and current crimes. Why these individuals fear going public and the repercussions it caused in their lives? The FBI will be given the opportunity to prove their investigation was not flawed. This is not for the Nay Sayers or the trolls...who use words and particial documents and unverified information to torment individuals who come forward. If the FBI wants to present their case this is OK - but they will have to provide ACTUAL records regarding the past of Weber. NO trolls or personal opinions. He has of recently showed restraint from tooting his book. As for JO - I have been on this thread since it started and the thread before that one. I am not selling anything. If I did not have to defend myself and my actions from the attacks made by those who DO nothing other than complain and insist that everything I have be made public - multiple posts to defend my rights would not be necessary. RIGHT on Blevins. Short and DIRECT!

I have waited 17 yrs for this - so what is a couple of more months to get it all together. There is MORE than just me and some of this makes the FBI look really bad. They will be given a chance to refortify themselves and their honor - and NONE of what we know will be presented by one person. There are several of us and if the FBI refuses to listen and reply within a set number of wks of the information being made available to them - WE go public......how is NONE of your bees wax. Currently we are trying to link 2 different stories about the same subject that have entered a crossroads. Why go public until it has been investigated as much as "the others" can do. Individuals like a Shutter and Meyer and others do nothing but complain about information NOT being provided by me which is representative of a team action and individuals have put our hearts and souls and time and money into this...it is time to shut up! I had hell raised at me for providing the Criminal records and then these guys want to dispute them with NO PROOF and claiming I offered NO proof. Too much is too much! I told a story early on to the FBI one that was dissed and I was told was impossible... Maybe he went East and then decided to go West - Now that is NOT as weird as it sounds. Remember Weber told me the only way to get away with a crime was to "Go Right Back At Them". I just thought it was idle talk, but now - it means a lot! I mention witnesses claiming Cooper was seen walking around East of Cougar and the witnesses theorized he crossed a truck logging bridge. This made NO sense to me at all, but I don't live. Amazon did clarify that. The women thought he got to Chelatchie and obtained a pump car. Maybe he did jump a freight and got off because that would be the first place the FBI might look? Who the hell know what Duane meant when he said GO RIGHT BACK AT THEM! WHAT if he landed a little short of Swift Dam? I talked about this before and Georger made a remark about my putting Cooper at TumTum mountain (he dissed this). In the 60's there was a temporary rail due to the shortage of funds going from someplace in that area all the way to the area about 2 miles short of the Stevenson - Carson area....Beacon Rock, The Bridge of the GODS, The Dam (all of that stuff is located around that point). In 1971 most of the rails had been removed but the path was still there. Does anyone know or have any maps that depict this area from the 1960's to 1971? REMEMBER not maps before or after but during those yrs showing the rails. Perhaps Cooper was aware of those old tracks (perhaps because he helped make them from a prison camp) or helped maintain them ! On a November in 1971 you wanted to escape - just follow the logging track that were still there and or the trail left by the removal of the tracks. If Cooper went South and then decided the rails was a mistake because they would be checking the cars, was there any way for him to reach the old forestry rails from the Moulton Falls Park area? Along the old tracks going down from what is designated as Government Mineral Springs was a camp site often occupied by men of the night. This would be about 2 miles from the Columbia. On a map the it appears those old rail would have had to have crossed the Lewis River at some point. How difficult would it be to get from Moulton Falls park to the old bridge trail going to the Stevenson area. This is only if he hoped the rails around Chelatchie other wise he got on trail below TumTum Some old logging rails were still in place, but what if Cooper actually was trying to get lost. There were places (closed) that he could actual take shellter in or did he decide to head right into Vancouver and stare them in the face. A change of clothes and a good clean up job and wash the dye out of his hair - NO one knew who the hell he was. Remember when Duane left me in The Dalles that morning in 1979 and returned soiled - he had gone to see a woman (he learned her husband was deceased and she needed something from shed). This is how he explained getting soiled in 1979. Just how abandon was that old Government Camp in 1971? Wonder if the FBI ever found a pair of old glasses? Who said I gave the fbi assignments - I have only told them what I knew early one, but NO one not even myself believed a story only briefly would be the actual truth regarding how Cooper walked away for the Search....How he was NOT found. A man not in a rush - perhaps a man who contacted an old friend for help. When this person realized he had just help Cooper escape he did NOT know how to deal with it and then later after Cooper died - he tried to get someone to listen to him, but he did NOT want to be incriminated himself. He was never given the chance to tell what he knew and why he knew something about the case and a suspect. Cooper lost his glasses and he hurt his knee, but he made it out of Wa and even lingered around for a while. Stupit - he should have taken off, but he asked an old friend and a new friend for some help The ending to all of this is going to be somewhat hilarius and a little embarassing to the FBI, but it did happen. I think I have a really nice birthday coming in August...so I got to get my sleep and get my house in order. Just trying to stay out of trouble. Georger - When was the last time U spoke to the FBI in WA and OR? When was the last time U spoke to the Forestry of either state? Definitely I did NOT present thing properly and it has taken 17 yr to get someone to really hear me. Perhap you need to put your ear to the ground and listen to what is going on. JO has been very connected to reality and this thread was a complete waste of my time. The truth was right infront all of you for 17 yrs. Just Wait and See! The only one who was on the right track was U Georger and U got lost in all of the crap just like I did. Maybe U knew, but was NOT privey to all that was really going on. U Think? Shutter and Meyer did NOT really help this case. It took an outsider with new information based on real research to do that. Surprisingly this thread was told certain information very early on and I wrote about it, but I was ignored, but others who think out of the box - have more than likely solved this case. There are those on this thread who only tried to deflect me from my very first theory. A theory based only on what Weber told me - but, there have been eyes and ears on this thread. Yet, the answer was not in the thread and none of U guys solved this case. Smile Georger, U may have been the only one even CLOSE! Do U even remember a theory you presented that was Dissed right off the bat. That theory followed some leads in this case that may have just solved the case, because NO one thought IT was possible! Who would have thought the answer was so simple and if the FBI had listened to me (really have listened to me and have dug deeper into the past of Weber) this case could have been solve yrs ago. Cooper might even have been caught while he was still alive - had the FBI listened to what they thought were off the wal prankster or just someone wanting attention. I suggest U talk to the FBI (both WA and OR) and I assure you I have all but the Columbia file (which even the FBI did NOT have as late as 2004). When CARR was boasting he failed to expose certain era's of Weber's life...in detail. I do NOT have the ACTUAL file from Jefferson - only what was put online for records - very brief. WHICH is all Carr had! The detailed reports I have for McNeil and SanQuentin/Folsom and Canon City are explicit and I was WRONG to have reveals any part of them this thread. Perhaps U need to call the FBI and the Forestry Dept of WA and OR - things are happening NONE of U know about and MY lips are sealed. This is from a comment he made and one the wife made - therefore it must be true or he was communicating with her from the grave. At what point and for how long such could have been done is unknown to me - I just know there was only 2 places he could have gotten a jump car or pump car - and he would have had to have gotten to where there was a side rail - could not leave it on the main track! If a hand car was even used is unknown and is speculation from the stories told by Duane and by his wife....perhaps the hand car was unrelated to the Cooper story and another experience he had - heaven only know what that was. I expect if he was involved with the WA spokane area and forest that they used hand cars for certain things in the late 40's. I knew there were lots of big veins and budges on that knee, but he NEVER complained until he broke his leg during those last couple of yrs. As far as I was concerned he did NOT limp, just has one hip higher than the other. Many of us do including myself. Hence one knee is weaker and injures more easily. We do NOT know how serious the injury was - do We? If Duane was the man on the ground - Why the fricking hell do you think I harp on Duane's knowledge of CB's, airports, towers, etc? I have NO proof there was a second party involved that other than some vague hints threw out by another party who knew Duane during that time. Communication skills and someone to contac? Like I said take what I know and try to figure it out - the pieces of the puzzle are there - I just do not know how they fit together and what the nucleous was. I do not claim ALL is true, because much of it is speculation put together with what I do know. A lot of it is knowing and living with the man for 17 yrs and what others who knew him thought. The missing yrs - even the FBI didn't have the answers to that one - as testified by the last arrest - and prison record -Jefferson! As early as 1958 they could not unravel his past and then in 1968 he leaves jefferson and it is still not unraveled. Both institution left a gap for certain times in his past. 2 prisons and then the FBI in 1996 could NOT unravel Duane's entire criminal background. NO one has actually accounted for those yrs with actual prison records. 1945 to 1949 is hit and miss even with the FBI. 1962 to 1966 is also hit and miss (in fact it is blank). RAIL cars - I gottcha on that one. Try Chelathie WA. They had a storage place there. Remember the lumber rails also used the cars - repairs and to carry supplies - it was cheaper. We had just come out of a war - new equipment was not there for the rails or anyone just for the asking. JUST BECAUSE: One of the women I interviewed in WA - worked there in 1971! NOW do you believe my information? THINK U had better rethink a LOT of things. Just because it is U that makes a claim - doesn't mean it is true for that specific time and place. As for hitching a ride on the rails - remember this - in that area there were hills and lots of loading times to pick up cars. Was MUCH easier than other places. On the flat lands and in certain areas - those trains hardly slowed down. The trains had straight stretches, but in WA there were ALL KINDS of switches and bottle necks and Car pick-ups of freight. Georger please chill - Gray was NOT always straight forward either. He's a WRITER - that is what he does for a living. You and I both knew what he was from GET go. We didn't like the results, but remember this - the way he handled U and I is how he probably is handling Blevins. GRAY is NOT always truthful and he is deceptive! I can prove that with EMAILS I shared with him but that is NOT what this thread is about. Can we explore Cooper without all of the needling and games some of the guys are playing. I have my problem. U have your problems. Blevins has his. Other who needle any of us have their problems. NOTE the ones that NEEDLE the most are late comers? Also individuals who claim much expertise - but it is real? Could everyone put aside the needling or whatever name anyone might call it - so we could move forward in some fashion with things that perhaps have never been discussed indepth before. YOU Georger entertained a EASTWARD movement for Cooper at one time. WHY? What did U know that the rest of were not privey to? Blevins like myself is NOT a troll. YES he was wrong to use the thread to promote his book but is trying to do the right things. We might need to remind him once in awhile (he has made some productive post and he does live in Wa.) He is interested in the subject and he is willing and able to do things U and others in the thread cannot do. There are some in this thread who claim to know all but when it comes down to their producing evidence of this abililty or knowledge - NOTE - they change the subject or attack others - anything they can do to divert divert divert. U and I live a long ways from WA. Therefore we need guys who live in the area and knowledgable enough to produce some ground work as evidence of their claimes of knowledge. I was under the impression the terrain in that area would have been very difficult in Nov. of 1971. I came across a little bit of information that indicated that also, but I had NOTHING to go on. What I did have was Duane's stories about the train and I felt that was the route he took was right back at them then connected to a train Eastward bound. Years ago we played with this, but did NOT dig very deeply with maps or pictures of the terrain nor an explanation how he would have gotten out of the area or have planted transportation. None of us were with Cooper and all I have are stories Weber told me about the guys and the area. This has gone on so long that I do have some false memories as of recent or I think they are false. Realize Max's book was the first time I learned the name used by Cooper was DAN Cooper. The notations in the book margin were in pencil and printed. Yes, I thougt it was Duane's and the girl that WORKED for him also was sure it was his. When I analyzed this with the thread - it was evident that Duane made his a's differently - I have looked thru EVERY - thing I have that Duane ever wrote and with the help of the thread - both ANNE and I were wrong! That has been admitted in the thread and it was the first time anyone ever helped me study the handwriting. The book was the ONLY book in the library about Cooper and how I ended up with that one. If Duane "WANTED" to decieve me he would NOT have told me he was DAN Cooper. He would have said D.B.Cooper and he would have put a new article or some other item in the safe deposit box or in the van or in the house. Bragging rights do not count if the subject has no knowledge of what you are bragging about! Mark What U said above does NOT fit the man I was married to at ALL! Duane was spontaneous with his action - never planned out. Go back and read the stories about Duane and his thefts...He always did stupid things that got him caught, but I can assure you there were many more incidents in which HE did NOT get caught. Cooper was never caught and Duane just got lucky. When I read the silly things he did that always got him caught - WELL, that also explains the money ending up on Tena's bar. I will assure you there was more than one placement of money in WA. That one just happens to be the only one that ever showed up. Whatever he did across from the PDX - well that just ended up in the bottom of the Columbia. He sure as hell spend some time down there on the river out of my site for some damn reason and he had a shovel and he popped the trunk so I never saw what he took to the river. What I see in my memory, What I saw only that one time, I cannot find on a map, What I saw yrs ago. A memory burned into my mind, I cannot find on a paper map. Time takes its toll on the mind. A memory from 34 yrs ago I cannot place on a paper map. 34 yrs and a chain of memories. I cannot find the physical places. Frustrating to stare at a map To visualize what was 34 yrs ago. A road I took a mental note of 34 yrs ago I know not why and cannot remember the name after these 34 yrs. My mind has become a blank of past trivia. If only I had been able to have gone out to WA in 1996 when I found out who Dan Cooper was - perhaps I could have retraced the trip in its entirety, but now I am lost in a swarm of memories that should not be within my mind. Chasing away the new to remember what my eyes saw 34 yrs ago - I can no longer do. I try, but I am lost in these multiple maps and 34 yrs of development What was a vacant road with a dirt path is now a subdivision or golf course. I can no longer find my way thru the multiple structures and new roads of today! As each day comes and the memories of yesterday are being wiped away. I have forced my mind to remember all I can and I can do no more. What I see clearly in my memories - I cannot find on a paper map and probably could not find behind the wheel of a car. The memories of yrs ago are fading away and I can do no more. I have tried, but I just cannot force my mind to remember another past memory from 34 yrs ago. Now I am tired and I just want to move on, but the 34 yrs of memories are holding on to me. The years and the tears will not set me free. I am so weary and so tired. All of my efforts have been in vain, because NO one cares but me. No one but me knows the secrets he could NOT tell me - but, only to speak of his past in third person. This has been a very emotional journey and I can no longer climb hills on a map or follow a trail in my memory from 34 yrs ago. If only there had been the means to have gone to WA in 1996, perhaps this journey would have ended a long time ago. The journey is winding down and I am tired of climbing mountains of words and memories and over coming obstacles put in place by those whose reasons are known only to whoever they pay allegiance. Some consider it a game and others consider it a matter of loosing face. Some seek the truths, but with the cloud of 41 yrs they cannot recognize the truth 34 yrs is too long to keep a secret and Cooper has kept his now for almost 41 yrs. Perhaps one day everyone else will know what I know. "Take the baby down the stairs. Bring the Baby back up the stairs I can't go till the Baby gets here." Do you realize what he was talking about? He jumped on a stormy night and the 2 nights before he died he wanted to go for a ride to show me something, but it stormed both nights just as it stormed on that night of Nov. 24th 1971. April 14, 2013 I, Jo Weber swear that I have told the truths about Duane Weber and what I know about his past, but without an Angel on my shoulder - there is No more I can do. Perhaps there is an angel on the way - the armadilla is back. Perhaps one man's quilty conscience will set me free. Perhaps the FBI will see the errors of the past, but they are no longer investigating the case. Any one have a Cooper 20 lying around?
