For the CC misuse, see an attorney. For your rage, speak to a friend, pastor or counselor. Public forums are about as useful as telling it to the guy sitting next to you on public transit. You'll get too many smart a$$ responses from the ... you know. Most likely that will increase your rage. Vicous cycle. Or PM a DZ.commer steveOrino

Maybe on my 1000th. She is still terrified of heights. steveOrino

Did you mean Earl SKRUGGS or RICKY Skaggs? steveOrino

Yeah, that idea was top of my list too. As it isn't difficult enough to jump with vision in just one eye. steveOrino

Look at this picture and tell me if you think it's photoshopped.

I'm the chief videographer at www.skydiveairtight.com in Skiatook, 15 miles north of Tulsa. "Birdman" Mike flies here all the time. Come see us! steveOrino

Being the vidiot at a small, but busy DZ, I seldom get to meet other skydivers. I've connected with a few from the cartoon strip I draw. It saddens me to no end to lose two of the people I sketched this year. steveOrino

1. Adrenaline on an empty stomach will make most people sick. Eat something light (not greasy) before you jump. 2. Tandem harness typically put pressure on nerves and arteries that sport harnesses don't. What you were feeling was similar to what you feel when you hit your funny bone (elbow) steveOrino

My thoughts, but I didn't want to sound like a wise acre since I just got my 1000th (and pie) steveOrino

I'm working on a new strip and the end of ROAD TRIP so they should be updated soon. I hope! I also plan to put all strips on the archive - there are about 60-70 of them floating around. steveOrino

I "knew" it would come, but I "assumed" it would be at the end of the day. WRONG! I was talking to my wife and friends. One took my cap off and at the same time two dudes got me with two pies from the rear. I was covered! steveOrino

I made my 1000th jump. Sorry you missed it! steveOrino

Oh, I go the pie (and I bought the beer [BEER]-- Heinies , in honor of my friend, Spence) But it was champagne for me! You should have been there! steveOrino

Well, all the advice for what to do on my 1000th jump were great, but I got the wish I wanted. My beautiful wife of 32 years made her first jump with me. I'm so proud of her! Mel Tilley was JM, and Brian Polsten took outside video/stills. Thanks Sherry, for making my 1000th jump the best! steveOrino

I am not a photographer who skydives. (I wish I was) I am a skydiver who shoots photographs. I have not understood why guys set their manual focus for a set distance. Say I set it for 5-6 feet -- a nice distance for tandems. On exit, I could be more than that easily for a good shot that includes tandem and plane. I get closer than 5-6 feet at times too. Then when they deploy and I flip on my back the separation gets larger. That is why I use auto focus. Am I missing something? steveOrino

I stopped jumping from planes in 1980 to raise kids. I raised four good kids. I picked the sport back up in 2001. I have no regrets spending those weekends coaching my kids and enoying their youth. The sky will always be there. steveOrino

Wow, Bob! You did so well. I don't think i could have done such a fantastic job in the same circumstances. And kuddos to the TV personality. He showed a lot of respect to you, Shanon, skydiving and the BASE community. So very well done! steveOrino
