Texas Governor mandates STD vaccine for 11 and 12 year old girls.

Quote>Eventually reaching zero? How so? Once the disease has been eradicated, you don't have to immunize.Quote This is a world wide problem. Can you name another STD that has been completely eradicated? -
There's a saying about insanity being defined as doing the same thing over and over, with the expectation of different outcome. I keep expecting you to honestly answer direct questions, instead of resorting to smarmy diversionary tactics. SSDD

What are the 11 vaccines for? Last time I checked, it was still seven vaccines.

Is buying your child birth control supporting/encouraging sex?

Please enlighten us as to what specifically is my "view of the world and stance on this position"? How do you know how much I am "unwilling to accept it"? -

Eventually reaching zero? How so? No, but it's pretty effective at preventing cancer in those who have it. -
Show me your papers please... ID's for going to the mall...

How about age? Is age discrimination okay? As it may apply to this situation? -
Is that a yes or a no? Please note that I was asking whether or not he is a hypocrite, not if you were okay with his hipocrisy.

"Deep-seated animosity"? No, not really. There are some elements of doctrine and morality from most religions that I find abhorrent (as i'm sure do most people) but really I'm just amazed at the twisting of rational thought that is required to hold some religious ideas in your head. The ideas involved are just so dumb, I really can't figure out why they are so popular. You say "no", but so much of what you post indicates YES. Anyway, I was asking why?

Nixon, Bush and Gingrich thought they are a good idea. Sauce for the goose... Are we talking about the viability/value of pollution credits or Al Gore's contribution to global warming? Or is your intent to mix the two to distract from Gore's hypocritical behavior? What have YOU done to offset your carbon use? What does this have to do with Al Gore's hypocrisy? Dodging the question? Have YOU bought carbon credits to offset your use? It's the GOP way. More diversionary tactics, by Kallend. What a surprise. I have not bought carbon credits. My ecological footprint is 16/17. What is your's? Do you think Al Gore is being a hypocrite for telling everyone to reduce their energy consumption and painting a picture of eminent doom if we don't cut back, while he pollutes more than about 99% of the world's population?

Oooo, dodgeball Must be a day that ends with "y". Considering one in 37,500 women dies from cervical cancer each year, should we spend $360.00 on every woman to avoid these deaths, especially considering those same deaths can be avoided by women getting pap smears. -

I'm just guessing here, but I'd bet my "ecological footprint" is about 1/10th of Al Gore's. What's your ecological footprint? Are you too embarassed to post it?

Wow, your theology sure is. All theology is bullshit, "Religion is the sewer into which all contradictions flow." Why do you have such a high level of disdain for religion? I'm fine with people having a live and let live attitude, regardless of their faith. You seem to have a deep-seated animosity(sp?) to all things religious. I was just wondering why.

In other words, "illnesses" that typical go away all by themselves or psychological ones (insomnia) or warts. How about fighting/preventing all the diseases we get vaccinations for? How is homeopathy for Polio, Small Pox, German Measles, Tetanus, Hepatitis etc?

It's the new Polio. Ask Kallend. Eighty percent of American women by the age of 50 will have had HPV at some point in their lives, says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Roughly 4,000 American women die each year from cervical cancer, which is primarily caused by the HPV virus. There are over 100 HPVs, not just one, as your post implies. How many HPVs are linked to cervical cancer? What percentage of American women are infected with one of thoses HPVs? Of those women who get infected, what percentage will not go undetected? Among those who go undetected, what percentage will develop cervical cancer? Among those who develop cervical cancer, what percentage will die? -

NCclimber replied to Conundrum's topic in Speakers Corner
The real problem here is that if the teenager ignores your "simply discouraging pre-marital sex" efforts - as me and most of my friends did when we were teenagers - the result might be much worse than in "but if you do have sex, be safe" case. Yeah - I wonder how many teen pregnancies can be attributed to "My parents wouldn't buy me birth control!" Just because you think it's okay if your daughters are the neighborhood sluts, that doesn't mean everyone else agrees. And yet, so many happily married people have done so. I'd guess that most people who have married, throughout history, have made their vows before sampling the goods. Are you saying they all are/were morons? See my reply about sluts. You say you know lots of people who decided not to get married because the sex was bad? That's rich. -
I guess it's okay for me to subscribe to five daily newspapers since I recycle.

My question was about single passenger SUV commuters. not landscaping crews, delivery people or people who need a large vehicle as part of their job.

You do have a knack for using obscure exceptions to distract from an obvious point, which in this case was about using energy irresponsibly.

I'm still waiting to see any proof of interest rates in the high teens when Clinton took office.
