Would you prefer that people refer to the group of folks who were running the executive and legislative branches for the last few years as simply "conservatives"? I'd think that conservatives might get pissed. "Neo" is the more accurate term. Of course I simply prefer "Cons". It's even more accurate. Imperialist Republicans or Expansionist Republicans might be more fitting. I don't see anything conservative about Neo-Cons. The current label is frequently misused. Where have Lucky and Amazon been, lately? Easy there. Narcimund might get on you about being a Misogynist.

Oh I was just asking about the naming of children who's parents are married to each other. Bringing all this other stuff in as good way to draw attention away from much of the nonsense in this thread.
-
Is that a common practice among married parents where you live? I ask because I've not heard this in the US.
-
GWB has done a good job of having his records from the '60s and '70s sealed, I hear. Which records? Must be a day ending in "y".
-
A very effective attention whore.

I wasn't refuting your post. It was just the last post when I replied. What will your children's last name(s)?

While it's obvious that the money being spent by our military could be put to better use, the sum total of everything spent on the "War on Terror", so far (that's over 5 years), would only cover three or fours months of Universal healthcare for all Americans. That still didn't answer his question. A question that has nothing to do the issues of universal healthcare in the US.

You want such a graph? CBO projections are readily available for you to produce such a graph... Can anyone explain why the USA needs to spend more on "defense" than the next 14 countries combined? While it's obvious that the money being spent by our military could be put to better use, the sum total of everything spent on the "War on Terror", so far (that's over 5 years), would only cover three or fours months of Universal healthcare for all Americans.

Here's an article on the subject. http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m2294/is_2002_March/ai_91475113 What is the accepted practice when a couple marries, where both husband and wife come to the alter with hyphenated last names? Mr. and Mrs. John-Jacob-Jingleheimer-Schmidt?
-
Your own personal attacks for her personal attacks. How ironic.
-
Total BULLSHIT. The Clintons thought is was damning enough to "ask" Wellesly to lock it away throughout Bill's presidency. I wonder if you would have the same "it's no big deal" attitude if a leading conservative wrote a 92 page thesis on the negative impact of the civil rights movement and how a segragated society was in the country's best interests.

For example? USSR? China?

Of course, you're above such petty amusements. Think your post count will top 20,000 this month? Shortly after yours reaches 2,000. 20,000 - ranked 6th highest on site I'm still trying to break into the top 300. Don't worry, you'll make it. I'll never hold a candle to your post whoredom.

"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." – Thomas Jefferson
-
Doesn't everyone work under communism? No free-loaders? Which is exactly who will benefitr the most from a universal healthcare system.

Not my fault that you have a loose understanding of the truth.

Hillary's 1969 thesis has been revealed
NCclimber replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, he was a Democrat. He left the party because it shifted left. In his words ""I didn't leave the Democratic Party... The party left me." "I sometimes think that I didn't leave the Republican Party," she has written, "as much as it left me." Did they have the same scriptwriter? Yeah. Ronald Reagan. Hillary just co-opted the phrase. -
What does that MEAN? Playing dumb again, eh? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2690570;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Find me something sensible, done by an environmental engineer rather than a silly web site with an agenda, and I'll join the game. You must have scored in the 30s or 40s. 1947 was not a good year. Very cold winter, coal rationing, food rationing, gas rationing. My parents moved house from Orpington to Beckenham, which pissed off my brother and sister immensely because they had to change schools. Pretty good recall for for a one year old. Oh. That's right. You turned two that year. Everybody remembers life as a two year old.

Well, he was a Democrat. He left the party because it shifted left. In his words ""I didn't leave the Democratic Party... The party left me." Democrat? Yes. Liberal Democrat? Not hardly. Back to the thread topic - funny how everyone who claims it's a non-issue lean left. It's almost like they prefer it go away. And Al Gore spending $30,000/yr on utilities in no biggie, either. -

Then I guess we'd better not let those baggage handlers run air traffic control.

Where did you get that claim? From what I read, the $500 additional taxes was just a hypothetical "what if"? I got that claim from inside my genius brain - a treasure trove of original and compelling ideas. And an active imagination. Personally, I think guaranteed healthcare for all Americans is a great idea. What concerns me is how to implement a universal healthcare program that doesn't involve dramatic cost increases, while maintaining the quality of care.
