OK- Here's MY .02 on AAD's - and MAYBE it might carry a little weight - And I don't gave a rat's ass about getting flamed- I've been in worse situations- But I have to tell ya I only have 65 jumps, 1 cutaway and------- one AAD fire- on jump # 15 in a static line progression - I'm baring my soul here folks- If any of you want the details, PM me - I'll be glad to share with folks who are sincerely interested in learning why AAD's are a good idea- It was an FXC, by the way- And in case you're wondering- I ride motorcycle without a helmet, and jump with a full-face- Wear a seatbelt in the car- Have a dytter and a keep an eye my altimeter- Have a Cypres and won't jump without one- Also- things are timed so I will have my canopy in for new lines the same time the Cypes is in for new batteries and 8-year check, and I'll be having a new jumpsuit made- I'll just have to pony up a few extra bucks for rental gear in the meantime to stay current- It all happens in the dead of winter, so if I get a chance to jump once a month anyway I'll be lucky- I don't think I'm the only guy here who owes his life to an AAD but it seems to this casual observer an awful lot strong opinions abound- No sweat - I respect all opinions - I ride without a helmet. Blue ones everyones!!!! --Lenny Easy Does It

Man I hope I can! The wife and my mom-in-law have alot planned- And since Mrs. dumpster is a not only a whuffo, but a ground-hugging whuufo, it may be a challenge- But damn skippy I will if I get half a chance!!! Blue ones, friends!!! -Lenny Easy Does It

Good vibes to you, nro! Been there done that too- after 12 years and 3 kids no less- But the man said this will not come to stay but will come to pass! And pass it will! Take care of your health and keep your chin up, and you'll be 1000% better off! Blues ones on the way!!!! -Lenny Easy Does It

I was wondering if anyone here as ever jumped at Boston/Hartford SDC at Danielson out in Connetticut (sp?) - I will be out that way in July/August and am going to try to get a few jumps in while I'm in the neighborhood-- Thanks in advance! -Lenny Easy Does It

We seem to be a bit slow all around- wx this spring wasn't the most cooperative, and I think the economy has something to do with it too- Other rumours are competition from area DZ's and propaganda like that, although it seems to me we get along very nicely with the other DZ's in our area- -Lenny Easy Does It

2:(my wife is wonderful!) 4:1 Did a GREAT 6-point four way - The dive went exactly as planned right from the exit- completed it by 7,000 and started from the top of the page again- AWESOME! - So we decided to do it again, only with video, and so Murphy's law kicked in and it was a funnel from the start- But at least now I think I can get my Falcon! My daughter took a ride as an observer, so I should have some stills and maybe 1 I can post on my profile- GREAT WEEKEND! -Lenny Easy Does It

Hell yeah, man! I really wish I had the cash and the time to jam like that when I was on student status! I probably wouldn't have flailed as much as I have! I was told to jump as often as possible, to learn as fast as possible- And it works! Easy Does It

I have neice who has just spent the last four years teaching English, in France, to help pay her way through school in France- One observation she made- When people go to Germany, they speak German, when they go to france, they speak French - The only places you'll see signs or anything in more than one language is in the tourist locations - I spent some time in France myself, on military business - I did my best to communicate in French, and was quite pleased when, the harder I tried to speak the language, the more accomodating the locals were- Same holds true here for the most part- My company hold English classes for out many Spanish workers, and the interpersonal relations have improved dramatically - Food for thought-- Easy Does It

Definitely gear- Like as mentioned above, the mountains will always be there, and at 20 bones a jump to rent gear (that what it costs here-) you'll save more than enough make payments on a car, depending on how much you jump- Of course, asking any skydiver how to budget money gets only one answer- JUMPING! Blue ones! Easy Does It

Topless/ nude jumping isn't really a mainstream activity at our DZ, but there is a small group that seems to enjoy it quite a bit - so much in fact they made at least one jump each month of the year last year - And up here in Wisconsin that's no easy feat in the winter! I was wearing two or three layers and they were in the buff- So was I over-dressed or were they under-dressed? (I'd have to say I was over dressed - I saw some really nice butts!) Easy Does It

Bummer, bro- Hope you heal up quickly! I won't be at Rantoul this year but I do plan on coming down your way in August after the Heartland boogie up here at SK- Love to do a load or two with some DZ.commers! What did you end up with for new wheels? I heard some reeally persuasive stories as to why there are more than a few former Sky Knights down your way, too- Blue ones, friend! -Lenny Easy Does It

I absolutely agree there- What really burns my ass is that the "priests" seem to be somewhat above the law- and no one thinks that is wrong- If it were a "layperson" you know damn well they should be thrown right in jail, but since it's a "priest" it's all kid gloves - Bullcrap! Lock 'em up! Easy Does It

You're probably 100% right on that, Jess! No doubt he's a real legend in his own mind! after getting rid of all gender-specific pronouns, the next will be any reference to any form of race or nationality whatsoever, unless it's his- Easy Does It

Good vibes and prayers headed your way, bro!- Hang tough! -Lenny Easy Does It

Man- I put up with my ex and 2 of her "affairs" ( "he's just friend I swear" - Yeah, right, I wish was as good a friend-) Sounds like a cutaway is long overdue! Get out and enjoy! Life's too short to put up with that crap! Positive vibes going out to you! I'll be sure to make a jump in your honor and drink to your good name! Blue ones! -Lenny Easy Does It

I wonder- What is the guy who took this whole thing to court doing right now? Is he walking the streets woth his head held high or is he hiding in his house/apartment/condo/whatever? Is he getting lots of positive press coverage, or is he hiding from the media? Are his kid(s) going to school and receiving lots of respect, or getting thier asses kicked in the parking lot 'cuz thier dad is pereceived as an a$$hole? Or did dear old Dad have to take them out of school altogether? Does Dad even have a job anymore? And just think of the lagacy he has left his kids- The woman who won the court cases that got prayer taken out of school - remember that, some of us? How ironic her son became a Baptist minister- She didn't think her son should be "forced" to pray or hear any mention of God, either- Bill you got it right on all counts! Time to excercise my right to go to the store, pick up a 12-pack of any beer I choose, and sit in my backyard listening to the kids and live the good life- I love being a capitalist American pig!! C-Yas!!! -Lenny Easy Does It

2:0:1 First time camping with my wife - First time camping in a LONG time for that matter - at my sisters' way cool place out in the Missouri boondocks - Got a couples nasty bug bites- no biggie- Wx was fantastic - everyone knew why I was looking at the sky and sighing-- Drank alot of beer and partied alot! -- Blues!!! -Lenny Easy Does It

I'm sure you've considered everthing, so I'll skip that part - I've been through a cut-away myself, (as the "cut-ee") after 12 years of marriage and three kids, to boot- It's good you have a support network of friends. Be ready for some really intense pain, but at the same time, you'll have some of the highest highs, to boot- It's real roller coaster. But now, after all the kicking and screaming - and some totally insane behavior - (It was really fun - I was a man-slut for about a year - had some of the wildest sex in my life!) I am now the happiest man in the world- And you will be the happiest woman in the world! I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world! Keep us posted on how things are going, and we all will keep you in my thoughts and send good vibes your way!! Blue ones!!! -Lenny Easy Does It

Yeah, they were considered "vermin" in our neck of the woods where I grew up too- We'd shoot with .410 ga shotguns and feed 'em to the dogs- Sounds mean, but when you take into consideration the disease carried in thier poop could really cause major damage to your livestock, and humans- it was no different than getting rid of rats, mice or cockroaches. In this case, though, I'd be concerned about firearms safety if that's the case- I'm a firm beleiver that guns are tools, not toys, and should be treated as such- use the right tool for the job - and if a gun isn't the right tool, don't use it! Easy Does It

You have GOT to be F*ckin kidding me- How long before some damn bastard complains about "In God We Trust" on the currency? I surprised it hasn't happened yet! Easy Does It

I've been using tube stows for the last 40 or so jumps, I've had one break and had no problems at all- They are easier on the fingers when packing- My .02, I think it's just a matter of preference, not much more- C-ya! -Lenny Easy Does It

How about this one- "I'm crazy enough to jump out of an airplane, god knows what else I might do!" Easy Does It

YEah- it's for real- unfortunately- I met the fellow myself- was on a load with him the previous weekend- (he had already gone through recurrency before the accident-) As far as I know, the main PC was half out of the BOC pouch- and the reserve pin was knocked out on impact - Cypres was off - We're all pretty bummed, as you can imagine- he was really cool- BSBD- -Lenny Easy Does It
