kel- you know that as soon as you are ready you are more than welcome to jump my rig if you want to try the spectre 150. I love mine. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

just did my first rodeo this weekend. i will try to get that vid up on the web somewhere as it's the most hysterical thing i have seen in a long time. someone who watched the vid at the DZ asked if I was going to press charges for manhandling. Froggie, you saw it!!!! It's a lot harder than it looks!!! =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

slinks are great- i had a hard time reaching my slider to collapse it, and slinks allow it to come down far enough (since there are no bumpers) that I can actually stow it behind my head if I want to. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

try this- it's good for practicing flying around people and it can get cranking once you catch onto the pattern: star, open acc-compressed acc-cat-compressed acc the other way, open ac. star you basically are rotating around the other person, and switching. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I had a fabulous weekend. 1. Moved into my new house about 5 minutes from the Drop Zone 2. Great working atmosphere in Manifest this weekend, we had a blast 3. Was invited onto organized jumps with Roger Ponce several times, we did a 5 point 12 way on one of them! 4. Hung out with Derek Thomas and the Sunpath people on Saturday night, Got to drive the Sunpath Suburban around, that thing kicks ass! 5. Ended the weekend with a rodeo dive with Derek which, well, if you see the video... hmm. It's just pretty darned funny. 6. Got my official D license #.... D24017 thats it. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

If you are custom ordering a suit, I'd think that pretty much any company will make whatever measurements you tell them to... fabric choices might be more along the lines of what they'd need to cater to for the amount of drag you want... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I am a regular at the Carolina Skysports Thanksgiving boogie, since things get a little Chilly at my DZ in November and December. Also the ZHills New Years Shindig too. My DZ is pretty big so a most weekends are like boogies anyway. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

that my friend is why you get a morning job in manifest. get paid to work off the hangover then jump in the afternoon. much better. we keep a bottle of excedrin in the office. those 7:30 AM mornings can be killers... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

chuck- HOW funny is that!!! I didn't even know it was you!!! heehee... sorry about the balloon thing, i really didn't mean to hog it all. =c) small world, eh? Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

Wingi- that took about 5 minutes to do. 3 of my jobs are web-based, so a simple page of text and links is nothing at all to pull off. =c) Comes with the territory. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

Night jumps are awesome... I started doing those as soon as I had 50 jumps... from ym DZ you can see the lights of Philly and Atlantic City, it's incredible!!!! Night RW is fun too... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

my next skydiving trip will probably be Richmond for Labor Day. Long ways from now. Hopefully by then I will have my 2 new rigs, Froggie (Heehee... the one Derek promised at the bonfire and the one that um, well, I'm stealing)...So I think I"m pie safe for a while. But Grogs- Just remember... pies can be saved. the longer you wait to get up here, the more that are coming your way. In fact, Stacy and I have bought a second fridge just for your pies. I'm I've been concocting some special ingredients. heehee. I am, in fact, Very Evil Stacy. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

it's not that hard, i just put my feet on my ass, which makes you sink like hell. the JMs collided heads. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

you guys are terrible. the funniest part is that Jim had to take his rental car to a car wash due to the trunk being the pie-making factory. the thing looked like it went through a blizzard. I've gotten the pictures back and must say they are pretty funny. what a trip. so when are you all coming up to Cross Keys?? =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

nw that i'm breathing again and bandaged i will respond to this. =c) yes it was funny, but the flour, i seriously almost died!!! i lookedlike a pillsbury dough person with all that shit on me!!! oh well, all in fun, i suppose. For people who were at CSS- my arm is OK, bruised the rotator cuf in 3 places, but nothing is torn. off limits using the arm until saturday the doc says, but he said jumping should be alright, no heavy stuff though. i'm thinking of some one armed rw or freeflying. it's not my pull hand... =cP all hail bigways!!! Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

it's a little smaller than a hackey, that's the only difference. make sure you are comforatble with finding it. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

My first main was a falcon loaded at about .8... i have no complaints about it whatsoever. I recommend rolling the nose when packing, other than that it's a great canopy for a first rig. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

What a boogie! Each jump was more incredible than the one before. I managed to get into a Big Way Skills Camp there with Lyle Presse, Derreck Thomas and Mike Tremaine. INCREDIBLE. Got up to a 41 way formation. My 200th was a 28 way from 8 grand that actually built, 3 point 21 way with 2 kiss passes in the base, banana eating jumps, you name it. Did some more CRW down there, including my first (beer) rotations jumps (3.5 rotations) into a downplane. Met some great people, won some things from mirage. Got pied and almost choked to death, please do not use flour in the future as it clogs the airways. Cobalt demo was great, It's a fabulous canopy. And I got my D license. go figure. what more can yuo ask for from 10 months in the sport? I love skydiving. Blues~ Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

another thing- when you are first starting to take out chunks/formations/bases... try to become familiar with a particular slot in the exit. Once you start getting the feel for a particular position on exit things come much easier. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

my boss knew i was a skydiver... she is also very suspicious when I get, um, sick on really nice days. I'm pretty sure she's on to me.... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

Hey I just got the list of manufacturers that will be around for demos/etc etc at CSS... ICarus will be there (yippee! I can fly a crossfire again!) and Atair (maybe try a cobalt too??)- Sunpath is coming with Odyssey demos... Mirage too... it's gonna be just like Christmas... except I don't get to keep the presents. =c( Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
