The world record sequential was broken twice this weekend. Initially it was broken with a 3 point 106 way. The next dive they got 4 points. That, my friends, is frigging awesome. The Golden Knights dropped in tonight (sunday) for a brief demo and then they organized a sunset CASA load. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I think you have mentioned that... but we did have to take a bus to the beach for the demo... how inconvenient! just kidding. it was an excellent time. winds today (tuesday) shifted from yesterday, causing our base leg to be along a ferris wheel pier and final along bleachers towards a roller coaster pier. kinda like skydiving claustrophobia, although the landing area was quite large. no outs anywhere though!!! hey rumor has it that this weekend we will have a skyvan, caravan and the FrankenOtter. yahoo!!!! wingie get there early! although i can't jump until about 4:30, at which time some people i'm jumping with in the Delmarva NSL meet will be wanting to jump prolly... should be an awesome weekend!!! hey dave (weid)- you guys (jetsream) absolutely kicked ass this weekend. Gotta give you a lot of credit for what you are doing~ I was beat Saturday night after doing three sunrise hour loads, working 10 hours, then 2 more jumps... much less 18 jumps... yikes.... good luck, i think team capricious will be making a delmarva appearance!!! Welll, it was a 4 case day!! Went down to Wildwood for beach jumps, early winds were not comfortable for me, esp landing in an area that was between 2 piers (potential for additional turbulence....). Jumped on the 2nd and 3rd passes though. SOmeone called me on my first beach jump. ALso it was set up as a demonstration so I was caught for my 1st demo as well. Second jump of the day was my 300th jump. Owe one for that too. Some people joke with me about my canopy flying from my student days, the name "Hellen Keller School of Canopy Flight" has been used at times... I joked with someone that if I landed in the X on our target area on the beach I'd buy beer. Guess where I ended up? argh. a good day though. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

congrats on the rig!!! it's nice having your own stuff, isn't it? good weekend here as well. we started jumping at 5:30 AM on saturday, got in 3 jumps before I had to work in manifest. Got out n time to do two more in the evening. First one was a sweet four way where we did a block I didn't think I was capable of (zig-zag star with verticals) and another that I'd been dying to try out (sb donut-sf donut) and it was awesome. nice to see some drill dives working in application. did a second 4way with jerry bird and some others which was fun too... sunday i did a neat hybrid dive (2 sit/1 belly) had my 300th all planned out for sunday, picked out a 16 way that looked pretty fun. weather moved in and prevented it though. SO it'll be tomorrow at our beach demo/boogie in wildwood. s'about it. gnite, beach bus leaves early! Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

Kev- I honestly recommend going to Sq3 and sitting down with Mary to talk about gear. Whether or not you choose to buy through them she has an incredible amount of knowledge and has never steered anyone wrong in gear selection. I bought my rig through Sq3, but my main through another jumper who was selling privately, she was totally supportive. She's been in the sport for a long time and knows ins and outs of pretty much anything. Also, I'm not sure who you talked to in the loft, but I'd trust any of them with gear decisions as well. IT is true about the S.A. ZP, it has to be shipped out. I'm deciding between a Crossfire and a Cobalt right now and that is one key factor for me. Each type of rig has it's ups and downs. SIt down with Mary and let her help you decide what you want/what would be best. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

no prob, i'll jump with ya. prolly clothed though. =c) Jerry Bird should still be around that weekend, perhaps he'll organize something for ya!!! Jerry's a great guy. My 300th is looking like it will be that weekend. Weather has made it kinda get further away. only 20 jumps away right now, 3 weeks is plenty of time. And Flap is a wonder dog. it hink he knows how to pack too... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

hey kev- you shoulda stuck around a little longer! THe lady who gave you the Alti 2 shirt pretty much runs ALti 2, the company. Name is Kat and she's on a team called Flashpoint that is training at Cross Keys this week with Doug Park (the guy I was coaching with yesterday as well). After sunset Flashpoint provided some mighty tasty margaritas for the masses!! Lots of stories between listening to Doug, Roger, and some other high timers and big names in the sport. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
