was jetstream abandoning training again to freefly? =c) Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

60 minutes of tunnel time may seem like it is equivalent to 60 skydives.. it is actually more that that. usually you are in teh tunnel for 2-3 minute increments, divided up between other camp participants. between flights, you debreif, go over video, etc et. tunnel is invaluable and is an incredible learning tool. If you are looking for a camp, try an airspeed one or one organized by deland majik. Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

i have a factory diver that i wear with contacts and have no problems whatsoever. it's not a flip up version. Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

4 way. 4 way 4 way 4 way. Flying tail, on some of the exits I get to basically dangle from the plane by one leg. Turning points on the hill, having eye contact with your teammates all the time, it's incredible. Verticals... you name it. I love 4 way. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

packing... i pakced my spectre in 5 minutes once and it wasn't pretty. but i did get a free drink for jumping it.... new main- i'll take 15 with it. dont' want any stupid mistakes to result in a spinning mal... boo.... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I don't jump up there myself, but I know a bunch of people who do. i imagine it gets pretty chilly up there.... Great bunch that I know up there, you should undoubtedly have a blast. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

Chambersburg is a beautiful DZ and the staff there was nothing but friendly during our NSL meet there. I don't know about the student program, as I don't know anyone who went through it there. From Baltimore you are about 2 hours out from several DZs. Cross Keys, Delmarva, Chambersburg, Orange, etc.. all are probably within the same distance. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

jumpers @ orange are lovingly referred to as "the naked people." just forewarning. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

she actually called the packing mat this past weekend to say hello. all is well out in eloy. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I was going to mention the guy in the fire incident @ the ranch too, johnny... was the first one that came to mind. that was a great party that night... I've only gotten mysterious bruises from post-beer-light festivities. most from tripping on the deck. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

my general rule is that if the gusts are more than 2x the ground speed, it's definitely a no-go. grounds above 22-25 are a no as well. This is at my home DZ... when visiting other places that I am less familiar with I tend to be more conservative. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

my first canopy was a falcon which woudl open in 500 feet fairly consistently. Second canopy was a spectre which varied from 700-1000 foot openings, depending on the packer. My jedei is consistent at about 1000-1200 foot openings, so slow I can actually watch it open up each time. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

my container is supposed to fit a 170. I had a 175 F11 in there, a 150 ZP, and now have a 136 in there. some options if you want to downsize and not get a new container are getting padding sewn in. I didn't need to do this for my 136 though, tightened the closign loop and all was fine. fits tighter than my 150 did. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

yes there was video. the video shows the camera guy rodeoing me on exit too, which made us lose a little time. =c) it was an easy dive, FJP. but a nice one to crank out. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

great weekend up @ cross keys as well. Imagine December 1- and 71 degrees... wow!!! incredible! 7 jumps and 6 were four ways (we got 25 points on one!!)- the other a drill dive which was pretty kickin'. monkey claw did a head down barber pole smoke dive saturday around sunset... really nice weatehr for december!!! hmm... 1 of 3... either in a CASA, on the runway of an airport (planes still flying), or well, there was the parking lot incident... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

funny, here in the northeast it's still about 65 degrees outside. it feels like springtime honestly. I am liking this autumn MUCH more than last autumn.... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

suprisingly enough you didn't have anything to do with that event, dave. =c) I could only imagine... maybe throw some molasses in with the mix they made up.... as i said, i'm pieing myself from now on. i am a fan of breathing, which i couldn't do after the last incident. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
-
i would rather pie myself than live through the pieing i got at CSS again. 500 is comign up quicker than i would like to admit. i'm gonna save myself some horror and pie myself. at least i've got a shot at living through it. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

not for a birthday, but for an "00" or especially an "000" jump... watch out. this is from the one who was tackled from behind and had bags of flour dumped down her throat by her so called dear friends.... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I know which 3 of you hit 1000. watch out... i owe you a pie next time i see you, your teammates too. I have NO mercy when it comes to pieing.... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I don't know much about Sebastian, but I can speak a little for DeLand as we are planning on doing soem winter training there. @ DeLand there is DeLand Majic (Joey Jones, Doug Park, etc) who are EXCELLENT coaches. Joey and Doug do tunnel camps very frequently adn also work with teams all over the country. I know both do camps that involve split tunnel and jump time. As far as splitting the team up that would probably only be done in the tunnel. Initial tunnel time is usually 1:1 with the coach, working towards 2 ways with your piece partner. Have fun, 4way is great, isn't it??!! Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
