I"m a TEVA fan. When it gets cold, sneakers and as many socks as I can fit... i did jump once in froggie's walmart sandals (2 sizes too small and well in need of replacement...) Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

I"ve heard 5-6 planes in the 2 seasons I worked @ cross keys. it is fast... but our new otter is as fast if not faster! yahoo!!! Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

compressed pieces tend to be floaty in nature. (watch a vid of any 4way team in early stages doing the cat-acc block... cat will be a little lower than the acc). Just being aware is usually enough, try to dearch a little also the floaty person needs to be equally aware that they are floating and arch a little more into the turn. people naturally fall faster when initiating a turn (hence level problems on jumps involving 360s).- all about awareness and tiny adjustments. eye contact never hurts either. =c) Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

one I like to do that is good for outfacing move practice and translational 360s is just alternating stairsteps (example- Jumper A has left hand grip on Jumper B's Right leg grips) . start faced off or launch a stairstep, doesn't matter. Outfacing person 360s towards the middle and back out, so that the stairstep is mirrored. Turn back to center and switch roles. Good to practice looking towards the center from outfacing persective. jumped with a head cold earlier in the summer. wanted to get in more coached jumps, so it seemed like a good idea. HA! ended up rupturing a few blood vessels in my nose which took forever to heal up- every time you blow your nose they pop again.. it was nuts. needless to say, it was not pretty at all. almost 450 jumps... no chopped mals yet. buncha close calls though that maybe if i hadn't given that extra second- a line over once that luckily i got to clear with a good riser yank, a hard pull that came out on the "extra" try, and my first jump on the main i have now, finger stuck in a brake line, put me in a wicked spin (ellipticals are good for that!), hand on the chop handle when i popped my finger out. that one hurt. =c) Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

my parents are less than excited about my jumping habit. They refused to talk about it for about the first 6 months. i would show videos, etc with little or no response. My grandparents however were a different story. They lovei t adn will watch hours of video without getting bored, love to look at pictures, and have come out to the DZ twice. the parents came once this season after realizing I'm not gonna give this up and watched my team work together a little. They won't buy me anything skydiving related still, but I did catch my mom watching one of my 4way vids while I was home. Parents are as stubborn as we are. =c) Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

nothing too exciting- my santa claus doesn't like skydiving. DVD player New bed/matress/etc etc etc some clothes plane ticket to FL (which will NOT be used for job interviews... can we say tunnel time??!!) Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

i saw an ash dive earlier in the summer in which flowers were mixed in with the ash. just a note- i'd recommend a full face for an ash dive. Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

The downplanes I have done were slightly different in set up. did a normal 2 stack, slide down A lines, etc... the top canopy then basically climbed down the other person's risers, taking a side by side harness grip. legs are swung around each others' waists and both canopies give a little toggle input. wasn't that hard to hang on to, lots of fun. =c) Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

and the pics were rather entertaining, weren't they? it was an interesting evening.... or at least what i remember of it.... there is never anythign bad about a party that lasts for 10 hours, nor one that is lovingly subtitled by many as "It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time" Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

i could be... not sure when i'm headed to baltimore. it really depends on how much laundry, paperwork, and present wrapping i get done on friday-saturday, etc. u jumping? i'm sure i could be coaxed into making a jump before i head out... Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

I wear gloves year round- my hands are always cold. winter in the NE is not fun for that. I tried the cotton liner idea, it works OK when ground temps are above 40-45. Best thign I've tried are my normal gloves with the surgical glove liner. better mobility too with those. definitely make sure you have a full face!!! =c) Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy

zhills is extremely close to tampa. it was only about a 15-20 minute ride from the DZ to the airport actually. Lake wales is more south-central and is more closely located to orlando. The drive from Lake Wales to ZHills is about 60 minutes-75 minutes (although don't quote me on that, it was an interesting evening when that trip was made). Stacy http://users.snip.net/~stacy
