  4. chippendave, you are known to stir up trouble too my friend!! it has become my goal to find a certain video....if you are trying to find dave's team, they have dark everything, helmets, rigs, etc. Lovingly nicknamed Team Darth Vader. If you DO spot them, however, the only appropriate response is a loud shril "Jetstream..... eeeeeee!!!!" Trust me. they like it. Kick some 4way @ss in eloy, or the evil rabbit will get you. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

    Great Weekend

Despite on and off good weather and winds, it was a great weekend here at Cross Keys... did my 400th jump on Sunday morning, lots of 4way, some interesting preplanned funnels, and a dive devoted entirely to the Evil Rabbit. How can that be bad? Throw in somebeer and well, good times all around. Weid's team is ready to kick @ss at nationals... Jetstream!! EEEE!!!!! =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
  6. Pammi- Ron talks about you guys all the time actually. Says he had a great time at OSC... he always seem to catch me as I'm doign somethign stupid though... like deciding to take a road trip at 11 PM on a Saturday... ah well... =c) funny guy he is. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
  7. I have NO idea what you are talking about. You really should get off those psychotropic drugs, the hallucinations are getting bad. Next thing you know you will be claiming that I was wearing pajamas at the DZ as well. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
  8. you should have just told PJ that you didn't come to jump, just for the birthday cake. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
  9. This past weekend did suck, well jumping wise at least. Scott's cake was not just ANY cake, dave- it had Bob the Builder on it. and remember, you can only tell a lie if there's something in your hand... =c) Next weekend should be better- I'll be at the tunnel for 2 days!!! YAHOOO!!!! Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

    RW cherry pop

oh you can play PLENTY doing RW. I found it to be my niche too, I found myself today wishing a 5way ahd been a 4way so I could do my favorite block move (even though I've doen nothing BUT 4way for my last 100 jumps or so)... addictions are funny things, aren't they? 11. Maryland... really depends on where you are in the state. Near to DC area I'd say the VA DZs are closer- Orange, etc. but in the central area (Balto, etc)- Delmarva (King Air and Otter) and Cross Keys (Super Otter/SkyVan/Caravan) are both about a 2 hour drive. Chambersburg (King Air) is reasonable distance as well. Also in MD is Parachutes are Fun, but I don't know much about that. Ocean City is a student/Tandem operation. blues- Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
  12. I can do the cherry stem thing too... I can also play any song you name on my face. This really has to be seen to understand. Double jointed in my thumbs and all my fingers too. Comes from playing clarinet for 15 years I suppose. ugh. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
  13. i can do that cypress ad thing in parachutist, put my feet behind my shoulders. splits and backbends. won a regional limbo contest too in mexico a few years ago. that's about it. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

    Good DZ's!

cross keys, lake wales, z-hills, CSS, and chambersburg get my positive votes. CK- awesome facility, incredible staff, they let me work there, and i just really like it there. Lake Wales has to be one of the friendliest DZs I've been to. Very laid back but in a good way, and GORGEOUS views. CSS- the fayards themselves introduced themselves to me on my first visit there. Great people, great planes, and a really cool new deck out back. ZHills- who can argue with a DZ that organizes daily tunnel trips with coaches? C_Burg- just visited this weekend. beautiful mountains/scenery and again very laid back but in a positive manner. felt like vacation. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

    Spoiled Rotten

Tee- I've been scuba-ing in contacts for about 10 years. never had a problem at all. purge mask is ideal, but my first few dives were with a no-frills mask w/o any issues. congrats and have fun- scuba is amazing! Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
  23. congrats kel!!! we had a pretty awesome weekend @ chambersburg... lots of 4 way, some 8 way in there... a dual lineover on one of my jumps which cleared as I was ready to pull the cutaway handle off the velcro... rushed last 2 rounds of the meet, wonderful jetstream-ers saved the day and became our packers... see ya soon! Landing Out?

funniest off DZ landing- a miniature golf course/driving range. I landed right over the fence in the driving range, while about 15 small children ran over from the mini golf course asking how come people fell from the sky. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
  25. Winter Jumping in the NE is an acquired taste. I definitely don't jump as frequently in the winter. When I do I DEFINITELY use a full face, and layer under my suit. Usually thermals and a turtle neck or fleece neckwarmer of some sort is OK- I don't recommend Tevas though. =c) As for hands- I used a latex liner- regular surgical gloves are fine- they trap heat really well- I put hand warmers inside there with my normal skydiving gloves on top. The hand warmers aren't that bulky at all and when you grab toggles they warm your fingertips too. I'd still rather go to Florida though. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
