Had one last week (nightmare that is). Double mal. SCared the hell outta me, honestly... I had a PC in tow when I pulled my main. immediately chopped and then pulled the reserve. nothing happened. the whole thing was wierd because it was like I was looking through my eyes, not in third person. the floor is actually mesh-like. air is circulated from outside the tunnel to the inside, so if there is rain outside, well, you get a bit of that too. also means it can get chilly in there too! =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

A 170 shouldn't be a problem. I have a J2 right now. My first canopy in the container was a 175. It was easy to pack, but it was F111. I would think that a ZP would still have room though, given how simple it was to get the other canopy in there.... Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

fruce- went there over christmas/new years when i was at lake wales and zhills. great place! lotsa fun but man i was sore! it's like doing 8-10 skydives with 2 minutes rest between each one! yikes. i'd go there in a second again!!! sex in the tunnel... it's added to my list of interesting locales. onlyt hing would be... the air in there tends to sometimes taper off and on... i couldn't imagine falling outta the air and hitting the floor while... well.. i'll leave it there... =cP I ordered my odyssey and crossfire yesterday, mary says she'll send you the bill. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

hey fruce i'll take a rig too. =c) Embarassing drunk stories.. hmm so many. Here are some highlights: At the Thanksgiving Boogie in NC we were tired. I guess I had the wrong tent, cuz someoen woke me up and asked who I was. oops Last summer I woke up one morning at the DZ to find my shirts hangign outside on teh deck. I'm nto sure how they got there, when they got there... I asked a few people and they just laughed, saying , "Dude, if you don't know..." huh. Supposed to do night jumps on New Years Eve at ZHills. 'Nuff siad, we were plastered by then and all of a sudden I hear TK makign this announcement over the PA telling me to come to the briefing. I stumbled into the briefign and tried to explain why I would not do a night jump. In the state I was in, he made me talk about my night jump expereinces and safety ideas. I have no idea what I said, but people were laughing. I also have a bad habit of dancing on bars and doing acrobatics. I also got soft links to solve my not reachable slider problem. It's great now and I'm sure my lines are taking much less of a beating cuz I can pull the slider all the way down now. HUGE difference. Slinks go for about 30 with rigger installation. Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I get irritated when i have a sinus cold and can't jump. at least i can still work in manifest though an dbe around the sport when i'm sick. i had to take a day off last december after a less than optimal off dz landing, hurt my back, but other than that i think i'm lucky. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I actually read a guy on the internet's log book and it took him about 55-60 jumps to finish AFF. So long as a student is willing to work at it and learn, instructors are very open to working through things. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

I've found that the golf courses make great landing areas. Not the driving ranges though. At Cross keys, 75% of people who land off land at this golf course right behind our treeline. now, a REALLLLLY bad spot to teh other side of the airport leaves the option of the miniature golf course and driving range. These I do not recommend. I've never foudn the people at the real golf course to be anything but friendly. =c) Stacy http://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

Tee- Lost Prairie isn't looking so good for me... the airfare is going to kill my less than wondrous finances. I am however going to DEFINITELY be at the Carolina Sky Sports Easter Expo Thing and I'm trying to budget Richmond as it's a feasible driving distance (I think about 14 hours or so).
